take long vapes at a lower voltage or shorter vapes at a higher voltage? I seem to get more flavour in the longer vapes and a lower voltage....
That is what I do. But you can't avoid it entirely. Next time it turns dark, toss it. Of course, I mix my own with no nic, so it is cheaper, less pain.

What is best to not burn/caramelize your juice - to take long vapes at a lower voltage or shorter vapes at a higher voltage? I seem to get more flavour in the longer vapes and a lower voltage...

So chuck it out when it turns dark - damn, and I just topped it up and now it's all mixed together, lol...

What's best is to vape the way you enjoy and "suffer" the consequences :)

I actually (try to!) rinse my clearos after every fill or two, with fresh coils if needed. And I'll usually vape one down to about where you see it just at the top of the post sealing cup.

Never really investigated what technique did less caramelizing, tho, just vape to taste and deal with it. After all, it's all about taste :)

Hope I get all of them subjectums......
Ω
That guy?

Hold the ALT key, and with it down, press 2 3 4 and release the alt key.
Or, if you are on an iPad like me, you add the Greek keyboard to get the Ω symbol!

I just got off the phone and had to let y'all know. My older sister (tashababy to some-Pauletta to others) has been smoke free for 1 full year today. Even more than that, she seldom even vapes anymore. She picks it up occasionally just for the flavor. I am doing the happy dance for her. :D
congrats indeed to your sister for proving she, too is a smart person!

Congrat to your sister mattiem!

My wife started vaping (finally!) two Sundays ago, and hasn't touched a cig. since! And she has a whole unopened pack that I bought her before I found out she was serious. She's had her moments, but hasn't opened it yet.

I started her on menthol (well, 10 drops of Koolada in 10ml), but she asked about other flavors last weekend. I don't have much for flavors, yet, so made her some Cappuccino and she LOVES it!

{happy dance for your Sis and my wife}
happy dance for you and your wife both!!

Okay - so it isn't big and it doesn't puff like the magic dragon, but you can't say this isn't TOTALLY cute and girly, lol... Oh, wait - aren't I too old to be cute and girly? Um.... nawwwww, lol)
pretty!! And girly! You could add a charm and be adorable!!

Quick daft question - how far down to the bottle can you vape on a tank of juice? If I'm going to change flavour so want to vape it all the way down... will that mess up the wicks/coils? I've been vaping down but stopping a good bit above the wicks/coils and then throwing the remainder down the sink when I want to change juices (and I hate wasting it). I thought of pouring the remaining little bit back into the bottle, but wouldn't that be like pouring the rest of your un-drunk milk back into the carton? Doesn't it shorten the lifespan of the bottle of juice or get bacteria in it or something?
you can vape right down to the end if you want. As it gets lower, it will start to gurgle. Just tip it up to vape like you were drinking the last bit from a glass, or blow it out occasionally. I personally have over 20 devices and vape the same flavor in each. Just switch them on my battery / battery holder.

Does anyone find that when you start out in the mornings your liquid is nice and clear, and by the time you top up your tank the new stuff you put in is tons "lighter" than what was left in the tank?
if you vape too hot, then that will happen. Sweeter juices do it more though. Try a lower power setting. Despite what the reviewers all do, I find lower is better. Just high enough to vaporize the juice and I'm good.

-------------
Forgot to say my own news....
VAPEMAIL,!!!

Already got the EGO to EGO adapters and G50 tank from LJs!!
The adapters work well
The G50 is indeed a Hypertank clone though... Good thing it takes Kanger wicks, because the ones that came with it taste like machine oil. Otherwise it vapes just the same.
For the same price at viper-vapes, you can get the real thing, so personally will go there, since genuine HyperTanks at LJs are more $.
The invoice came with a computer generated "hand written" thank you, which was a nice enough touch

For speed of delivery and decent quality, I will recommend them.

That is the way I do it. too. Never have to worry about one juice addling another.

100% agreement here, too.

I didn't know I had relatives in Florida!!?

One advantage of this whole fire thing is that I, normally a completely antisocial introvert, have actually had an opportunity to try to convert some folks to vaping. First it was the firefighter who didn't know that smokers normally had high CO levels, and today it was the real estate agent. Actually it was the agent's wife who smokes and hasn't been able to quit. He was especially impressed when I said that I had only started vaping in October and have made it through the last two weeks without even wanting a smoke. I did forgot to tell him about ECF, but will be talking to him more later this week so I have to remember it then.

lol - I have wayyyyyyyyyyy too many flavours going at one time, I think (like about 14) which probably explains why I can't keep track of who's on first and what's on second...

I vape the tank pretty low, when I'm going to change flavors. The dump the last few drops, rinse the tank w/ hot water, and squirt a couple ml's of Everclear through the coil/head. Fill it up, wait 10-15 minutes and start using it. I wouldn't pour old juice back into the bottle - 'cause as you've read about carmalization and such, I don't want to put that back in the juice bottle.

Does anyone find that when you start out in the mornings your liquid is nice and clear, and by the time you top up your tank the new stuff you put in is tons "lighter" than what was left in the tank?

What kind of 'tank(s)' are you using. Some are worse than others. I'm really liking the BDC Davide's - these are the 'best' for me not turning the juice darker. The juice hardly changes color at all. Now, Janet uses the same coil head in her Aspire Nova's and w/ the same coil/head the juice changes color significantly. I think because of the metal tank, the heat stays in longer and cooks the juice.

I will start at the bottom first. No bacteria can grow in juice. I dump mine back into the bottle. I change coils every time I refill on my CE5's. I change coils every so often on my bottom coils. If it turns dark, I dump and change. If it doesn't turn dark, I vape it way down, so as to have less to put back in the bottle. Juices that change color a lot, I just dump the rest. That color change is from the sugar carmelizing, sometimes comes with a deterioration in flavor. If I am going to change juices, I always change coils at the same time.

Once I get a bunch of coils, I wash and dry-burn them as a batch.

Really - that's a lot of coils.

Just vape it - don't think it.

I don't ever dump old juice back into the bottle. I DIY pretty much all my juice. So, it's practically free. Not worth risking getting the new stuff all nasty with the old stuff.

I've been rearranging vape supplies today. I stumbled upon a Vision Victory BCC that I had bought a few months ago to test out. It's really not bad! It has a PT kinda look to it, kind of.

Of course, I've only found the replacement coils at one place. But, they are cheap there. So, maybe bottom-coils aren't out of the question after all! I think part of it is psychological. It's a clear tank which makes it easier to see what's going on. Somehow I feel more in control.

Speaking of rearranging vape supplies:

I didn't realize how bad the labels looked until I saw the picture. But, hey, it works!

ETA: I forgot to mention the round container that I was thinking of using for clearos. It turns out the little compartments on the side are a tad too small for that. However, they're the perfect size for all my little DIY flavorings!

I learned something about my tank gurgling problems... I kept sticking a Qtip down the mouthpieces as I thought it was juice in the air column, but it turns out it is juice in the BOTTOM of the devices, dripping onto the battery to the extent that it actually gurgles and makes it hard to fire. Still don't know the cause, but at least I have the problem discovered, lol...

Uh, if you're holding down the shift, how do you get a lower case u??

2126 2126 doesn't work with ctl/alt, either - are you on a Mac?

NO, it's ohmZ :)

If you hold the shift down and hit u you do get a capital U, but if you hit control then shift (holding them both down) and hit the u, you get a lower case u. Then you don't hold anything down and just enter the numbers 2126 and when you hit spacebar it has the Ω. I'm not explaining it very well. What I am on right now is the Acer C720 Chromebook my son bought for me. I've spent the last week on the Macbook Air because he wants to buy me one of those but I didn't like it at all especially since his was $1500. I have enjoyed his Lenovo Thinkpad. I keep trying out different laptops. My son has more money than sense. He's an IT guy that still lives at home and treats himself real well. heehee:)

It really is irrelevant, I always just type ohm's. But I like learning new things.

I don't usually change flavors in my toppers. As the juice starts to darken I add more juice to dilute it for maybe 2-3 fills, until the darkness is pretty evident. Then I dump it, rinse it well and dry the wick with a paper towel, fill it up and keep vaping unless the flavor was tasting off. Then I change the coil. As long as juice is getting to the coil you can vape it, just don't vape it dry.

As long as your juice isn't dark I'd pour it back into the bottle, but how much could you actually be saving? Is a few drops really worth it? If it's dark it's better to dump it because you'll just yuck up your fresh juice. Yukked up juice is not good.

I use to have the same issues on my eVOD's and PT but when I fill up an atomizer, I put a napkin on the mouth and flick it like a old time thermometer at couple times. Some juice does come out. I don't know what exactly this does, but it got rid of my gurgles and that's all I care about. heehee You could try it and see if it works for you. Who knows.

Take it off and put a napkin or paper towel behind it and blow through it.

For some reason blowing through it seems to force even more juice through the coil :-( I love my Mini PT2s, but the PT2 just doesn't like me... I'm actually wondering if I've somehow got the wrong coils in it as most of my coils are for the Mini PT2s.

Shaking it like a thermometer has always worked for me. I have always loved my PT and mini's but after I learned rebuild the coils.......they are even more tootastic. I personally think the ones you do yourself are better than what comes on them originally or it could just be me proud of the fact that I can do it. heehee Either way...... it's all good.jpg

Good evening everyone. Todays storm has come and gone. We got about 9 inches of snow. Tomorrow is supposed to be single digit highs and 20 mph winds. We are hunkered down and have no plans to do otherwise. Batteries are charged, plenty of juice....no reason to get up before I am good and ready.

Life is good.
