The comments I usually get are about the nicotine (never have heard mention about the thousands of other chemicals). :2c:

Pure Nicotine Inhalation Doesn’t Cause Cancer

The most notable thing about e-cigarettes for scientists and doctors looking at e-cigarettes is that unlike in tobacco analogues, the nicotine consumed is in pure form. To investigate the effect of this, scientists subjected lab rats to pure nicotine in twice the quantities consumed by even heavy smokers. As if this wasn’t enough, they did it for 20 hours per day, five days per week, for two years.

For a smoker to consume this much nicotine, he or she would have to chain-smoke, but with two cigarettes in their mouth at any one time, and only sleep four hours per night to accommodate their Goliath habit. At the end of the study, the heavily nicotine-addicted rats didn’t have more tumors or die more frequently than the “control” group of rats (who breathed ordinary air). In fact, the only difference between the two groups was that the nicotine-consuming rats lost a little weight. This study is one important piece of evidence that shows that the other chemicals in tobacco smoke cause cancer, not nicotine.

For some reason one just doesn't think of firefighters as smokers, lol... What is a CO level?

These are volunteer firefighters, so it is more that some smokers volunteer. CO=carbon monoxide, and we were all getting our levels checked, partly because of smoke exposure, but mostly because the EMTs had a new toy to play with and hadn't had any reason to try it out before.

Of course none of us understand wanting to play with new toys.

'Not as stupid looking as dragging around an oxygen tank"

What's really stupid is watching someone unhook their oxygen tank, so they can smoke a cigarette. :nah:
I've seen it lots of times ... now there's a real "die hard"

That is me but I don't half to turn off the oxygen lol thanks to vaping.!:toast: The cancer bug can hide for many years before exposing it's ugly head. I had been vaping 4 years when I was dianosed.I had no cancer history within me or my family. So hope and pray you quit smoking in time because not being able to breathe sure ain't no fun and the oxygen bottle looks mighty good when you are out of air. I usually keep this on the other porch but being as it was mentioned i thought I might as well post it here. The doc's don't think I have a lot of time left but my Jesus is the one that determines my departure so whenever that is I'm prepared. They are moving me back over to my old place in my daughters backyard so they can keep a closer eye on me. It is very nice so I.m happy and will get to see the grandkids a lot more often:D.

Iwill see you all HTOITA

Txtumbleweed, you are always in our prayers! For all that you have done for the rest of us, Thank You Sir! Please allow me, and the rest of us, to pull up our rockers and enjoy each day we have left with you. Be it 1 day or 100 years, it will ALWAYS be an honor to spend it here due to your graciousness. H. Hodges pulling up with a vape in one hand and a glass of tea (sweet tea of course!) in the next. :vapor::toast:

Let me add my prayers to you. I'm certainly hoping that I have avoided cancer, but after 30 years of unfiltered tobacco you never know. At least I don't have the signs of COPD anymore.
I'm very glad that your daughter is there for you. So many parents get ignored once they become "inconvenient". You must have raised her right! Enjoy your grand kids and try to pass along a bit of wisdom where you can. That way you will live at least as long as they do!!

{{{Tx}}}, you continue to inspire me. You have made my life better and we've never even met. And now you have to teach me some more - what does HTOITA stand for?

Good to know you're moving back to your daughter's backyard. I'm sure the grandkids will love being closer to you and you'll still have some privacy. You are blessed to have a loving family close. My prayers are with you daily.

Your sage advice along my vaping journey has been invaluable to me, and I heeded every word of advice you offered.

You are included in all of my daily prayers, and you are so right; Jesus determines when the time comes to meet Him.

I'm glad you'll be spending more time with your grandchildren; oh, the wisdom they will inherit from you is priceless!!!

I, too am curious! What is HTOITA?

Shaking it like a thermometer has always worked for me. I have always loved my PT and mini's but after I learned rebuild the coils.......they are even more tootastic. I personally think the ones you do yourself are better than what comes on them originally or it could just be me proud of the fact that I can do it. heehee Either way......View attachment 302643

I have to agree with you...my micro coils with the cotton wick out perform the OEM coil/wick hand down!

Also, I've noticed the same problem with flooding...changing the coil/wick usually solves it when you blow thru to clear the excess liquid. YMMV

Bad news for MBV Cucumber Mojito fans. I just talked to them and it has been discontinued. :(

Well I guess next month I do a big flavoring order and try to DIY this one. It figures I go most of my vaping history only doing DIY juice and then when I find a premade I love they discontinue it. Yep normal Myrany luck happening there.

Ohh Tumble, I'm sorry I posted that. Please don't take it personal.
I meant it to be a warning and a reason it take up vaping to those smoking scoffers.

I love's ya and everything you have done to help all the rest of us.
Like you say, cancer can hide and none of us know our future.
Anyone of us could get bitten in the ... at anytime.
We just didn't know what we were getting into when we started smoking.

I hope that if we have problems, that we can live up to your example of how to handle it.
I'm praying for you, and am sooo glad you have a loving family.

They did the same thing with my Kahlua.
I was lucky though.
Just before that, they had a big sale on 236ml size bottles, and I ordered one of Kahlua

When I was at the show in Vegas, I chewed them out, and was left with the impression that I could "special" order it.
So give them a call, you may luck out.
