No. More serious than that. Has been self-destructive with dextromethorphan and smokables. Just finished three months. Has had enough treatment, and knows better than to go back to old friends. I am sending him to his father in a few days, on advice from lawyer and judge. Alcohol use never was that great. It goes back to some people who were emotionally abusive to him.
Wow. Hope the vaping replaces most of THAT kind of stuff. And hope he gets better.
Yes.......please........do "get started" about kicks and the "weenies" that use them. (Can't wait to hear this justification!!) View attachment 314665
Most definitely! I had a bad day run-in with the Philly idiot billy boy today and can use a laugh!
I meant it tongue in cheek. I went through some nasty debates in the new members area when a guy asked about mechs and everyone was all about the kick. The beauty of the mech is the simplicity of it. If you want a regulated mod there are plenty that are easier to use. If you understand ohms law, battery safety, and have an ohm meter an straight mech is perfectly safe. To each their own I have mechs and regulated devices...just don't see the point in crossing them over. I am seriously looking at the Hades mech now it takes a 22650 battery with 50amp rating - wonder what kind of clouds I can get at 175 watts? :)

How about.. If they regulate regulated mods out of existence, and we have to start making our own or already having one people would rather have one? Or the simple fact that most mech mods are built like tanks and are hard to mess up?
How 'bout a lil' 'Oscar Meyers' rationale just fer 'kicks'. If my Kick goes kaput, I'll toss it and still have a mech. If my VV/VW PV goes kaput, I'll toss it and still have my mech, with or without a Kick.

Problem with a mech with a kick is that if you have set w or v, and discover that setting is not right for flavor or topper, you have to open it up and reset it. Too complicated for me. For now.

That and Earl Grey when I'm in the mood for something stronger. Wonder if anyone makes a good e-liquid in either flavor?

Haven't found any English Breakfast; got some of the Black Tea from High Desert Vapes, but it seems to be one that needs a lot of aging. The reviews on ECBlend's "tea your way" seem to indicate that their Earl Grey is excellent. I may have to give that one a try.

Since I DIY and dedicate a topper/PV fer each of my fav flavs, I just adjust da Kick wattage fer a flav and awaaaay I goooooo...

Well, compared to the BMW in the video, it's cheap?

I was referring to The Vape Boutique's prices, not the 'almost' water resistant mod. :glare:

I saw a review of that somewhere. It is not really waterproof, only barely water-resistant.

I hate that! If it actually did what they profess, it would be a great mod. I see that as False Advertising, IMO.

Mech mods aren't inherently more dangerous than others. The main caution is you need to learn 'by how it vapes' when the battery is getting low, 'cause there's no circuitry to tell you 'time to change the batt'. And if you discharge the batt too low, you damage the battery.

Now if you're going to build your own sub-ohm coils, now that's a different story. You'll def need to learn about battery amp ratings and how many amps your setup is going to draw. But if you're building coils above 1.2Ωs most of the popular batts will be safe to use.

What do I need to find out how low the battery is? Taking it out and sticking it in the Zmax or LT would be a pain in the kiester, just to check the volts in the batt. My ohm meter won't do that will it? I thought it just checked atty resistance.

I use Earl Gray flavoring from Wizard. I was using it as a blend with lemon, but it wasn't quite right. Now I use 10 ml base; 1/2 ml either rose or honey; 1/2 ml Earl Gray. Both variants are great!!

That might be great for Jackie, but I'm not in show biz, and don't have that much hard cash. I have one PV and one backup, and more than 25 inexpensive toppers.

Sounds delicious. I was wondering how that would be with honeysuckle... Have you seen, or tried, any of the honeysuckle flavors? I've found a couple, a citrusy one, and a Honeysuckle Vanilla... was thinking very seriously about that last one, but I'm wondering if either would have much of a throat hit; seems like most of the sweet flavors don't have much of one.

I think you would need a multi-meter for that, or one of those chargers that shows you a display. Someone told me in another thread that you can get a multimeter at walmart for like $15-$20.

I need to get specific. Earl Gray is TFA. Rose is TFA. Honey is MBV.

Honeysuckle is TFA, I like that in its simplest purity. Of course, I have eaten a lot of honeysuckle flower parts in my life.

I am making a gradual move to 3mg nic.

You know, it's weird; in the south, honeysuckle is everywhere. Starting in April it will be blooming all around here, and it smells like heaven... but I have never eaten any. Maybe that would be a good thing, if I got that as a vape, having never tasted any *actual* honeysuckle.

I was also thinking that the bergamot flavor of Earl Grey would make a good addition to that Constant Comment I'm probably going to order from high desert vapes.

For our newer ol' friends here, may I encourage ya'll to partake in an e-cig survey conducted by the MOFFITT CANCER CENTER. Just click on one of the survey links within the article/press release.

I'm still awaiting notice of a daytime study group that I volunteered for. Thus far they have only been in the evening. I'm also hoping Tampa Bay area vapers will participate if possible.

Please disregard this post. Sorry for the closed survey link!

I've found it's more of the setting for the topper. After a little testing I found my drippers like 11 o'clock, iclears 12 o'clock and RBAs 1 o'clock. I just set it before I screw the tank on. There is something about a mech with a kick, I can set my kick to 8W and it's awesome, the same setting with the same topper on my avp tastes like a burning tire.

I knew miss lulu would have something to say about sweet! My dear wife likes McAllisters' and chick fil a tea and purchase by the gallon. That stuff is like simple syrup!

McDonald's on a good day. Cane's, Popeye's and Newk's. Absolutely!!

From what Mike has explained to me, it's a drop off of the vape. I can already tell that in my other devices so I figure I should be good with mine when it gets here.

Actually it's not that hard. A fully charged battery is at 4.2v which will result in the most watts for a given coil. It will quickly discharge to its nominal operating capacity of 3.7v at around 3.5v your vapor will be thinner and you will know its time to change your battery. I tend to charge every day or other day and run multiple batteries. Regulated mods will spoil you but like I said there is beauty in the simplicity of a mech. You know your battery voltage and you control your vape by building your atty to the right ohms.

My typical setup is two 2ohm coils which is 1ohm total which gives me about 17watts on my dripper. I have done .2ohm build which was about 85 watts but that is for show and I know my battery can handle the amps. I had to drill two extra air holes to feed that furnace. :)
