I am curious now about the Orchid. I watched a video on You Tube by the Black Guy who does a lot of swearing. I am sure you know who I mean. I really like his videos. So with the Orchid and dual coils are you always sub ohming. I only have one Mod capable of that which is my Sigelei DNA20 clone. I am wondering the way you increase and decrease your juice flow by not screwing the chimney on all the way seems like a hassle if you get it wrong you have to tear it down. Also is it as good as the KF or is it just another version except for the fact it looks real easy to run dual coils.
I don't have an Orchid, but you can definitely run dual coils at 1 Ohm or greater. I do it on my Kayfun Lite. It's harder on the Kayfun because you have to squeeze the coils in side-by-side and you only have two posts to attach the four coil ends to, but you can definitely do it.

Basically, if you build a 1 Ohm single coil, you have a certain number of wraps. If you run two 2 Ohm coils in parallel, you end up with the same 1 Ohm result, but each coil will be twice as many wraps, and there are two of them, so you end up with 4X the surface area of coil touching wick. If you run both 1 Ohm builds at the same power (or on a mech mod), you'll be delivering the same total power but at a lower temperature. This prevents the juice from tasting burnt or off. I'm a big fan of running bigger coils at lower temperatures for the best possible combination of vapor and flavor.

Xtar VP4 - Still loving it but you do have to be careful the batteries and properly lined up in the channels, especially the outer two. 18350s don't fit in as snugly, and easier to get in there a little cockeyed, as they could but the charge is good and that's what I was after.

Refreshing to see something besides the bacon gag. Thank you for accidentally sharing. :)

I'm wondering about something. I have some nic that I bought 4 months ago and had it in the freezer for 2 of those and sitting on the dining room table for 2. It has sort of an orangish color but always has. It is still in the plastic container. It is 100mg in a 50/50 base. I like using it at that strength because I usually make 100ml of each flavor that I like at a time. Do you think this is OK the color I mean or did I get some old stuff it tastes just fine but I make my juice at 3mg. Am thinking about putting 100ml in glass and putting it in the freezer but I do like using that strength. If I was trying smaller batches I would probably mix a bottle down to 6mg but I don't right now. I use a syringe to measure it.

I know some people here don't mess much with other threads so thought I'd pass on that Koh Gen Do cotton pads are in stock here Koh Gen Do Organic Cotton Pads at DermStore Shipping is free which is a great deal. Between this and the Cotton Bacon that's in the mail, I think I' have a 10 year supply of he stuff. :) Brandooth (thank you Brandooth!) posted that it was in stock at the above link.

The bottle of nic I'm using turn that color long ago. It's been in the fridge for a year  in a pretty green bottle  I've had no problem with it. I have a hunch that a lot of the bottles of nic that show up discolored in mailboxes have sat out in the heat on some tarmac during shipping, but that's just a hunch. I wouldn't worry about it unless it stinks.

What gauge kanthal do I need to replicate my preferred twisted 32?

When you twist two wires, that's the equivalent of dropping down around 3 in gauge. So, two strands of twisted 32 is around the same as 29 gauge.

You might not get the exact same effect though, because twisted Kanthal has all sorts of nooks and crannies that round kanthal doesn't. This might help the wire wick better, and provides more surface area. Just something to be aware of.

Take a look at my blog post for some close-up photos I just took of my twisted kanthal:

Thank you.

It is convenient to have just 32 for both the clearos I am still using (I just promised her some more once I get my new RTA's) and my RTA's. No reason to switch. My present reel might not last through the year's end.

The only advantage of 29 gauge over 2 twisted strands of 32 gauge is that 29 guage will be less springy. That can be useful when you're building larger diameter coils, where twisted 32 gauge might have trouble holding its shape. It might also be a little more durable. Other than that, I can't really think of any reason not to use twisted 32!

I stay with my 2 mm knitting needle for RTA (12 wraps), and wrap on 3mm wick (6 wraps) for my clearos. That is pretty small, and I always use my lighter to make it easier to handle. And the numbers are easy to remember. What is surprising is that my RTA coils are so consistent at 1.8 They jump around a lot about the time they are done with.

Got my parts from Aspire today for my broken Nautilus. Easy fix.
On the other hand, I just realized that the Fasttech Vamo V5 that I got a couple days ago does not display atomizer resistance, which it's sposta do when the right-hand small button is held down for 3 seconds. Arrgghh. Glad I checked it instead of just putting it away.
I was looking at the Clouper DNA30 on the Mt Baker site yesterday, & reading the reviews. Made me back off. Plus just can't see 30W need.
Love my Cloupor DNA 30 mods. The couple of little idiosyncrasies they have are not ones which matter to me. I almost never vape over 15 watts but it's not like I paid extra for the 30 watt capability. It's the best mod in that price range as far as I'm concerned and has proved much more reliable that the Innokin VTRs I was using previously.

If it tastes fine it is fine, in my opinion. Just seconding or thirding the opinions of others who have said it's not something to worry over.

legs,

Just relax! Ya got 'nuff stuff on your 'plate' to worry 'bout a NON-ISSUE.

It is 100mg in a 50/50 base.

OK, gotta ask, where did ya get dat? Normally, 100 mg nic is in either PG or VG. Just don't want ya to get waylaid wid any mis-conceptions!

Most places offer options. MFS, for instance, offers 100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75 and 0/100. Some places even go to all of the round numbers.

Are you sure that is a problem? I got my newest Vamo just before the V5 came out, and the Ω reading can be seen every time I fire it. Some might consider the right button display to be unnecessary, although it is nice to be able to get a reading before firing a coil.

It's most likely fine. You might want to put it in a dark cabinet when not in use. Light will break it down over time. If you don't want to do that then you should store it in a brown bottle.

,Scuse me from the bottom of.my heart, if it had come from the other end it woulda been a ....!
