Reminds me of Colvin's snowmen from Colvin and Hobbs.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Calvin and Hobbes, my Dad is a huge fan.

Thank you to you and 0mg about FT. Guess I'll just back out if they want ID.

Yeh, me too. Cool, dark kitchen cabinet. Probably should store em out of the kitchen so cooking heat doesn't get to it but, sanitation counts to.

Have a gallon of PG and no cool place to store it. Fries in the summer, cold in the winter. I do try to give it decent living conditions but only have so much to work with. On its second winter in the house and have noticed absolutely no difference in it. Not recommending this method but don’t get overly paranoid. Flavoring does not hold up as well.

Ummm... sum pre-mix flavs taste like toe jam smells? Glad to help...
thankyou.gif

Thanks a heap, dude. At least it doesn’t smell like El Whacko’s feet which are one step up from a boys’ high school locker room.

Actually, I know 5 people who have been vaping for over 3 years who perfer tobacco flavors.
That is why there are so many. Something out there for everyone!

Awesome, I know somebody that personally knows five out of the eight tobacco flavor vapers in this galaxy.

Or sandwich bag :)

Yepper, price is right!

The KFs I top fill (my 3.1s), I don't have any problems, and don't see why one would need to block the tip hole for top fill. Uh, the top is coming off???

When needing a fill, I just remove the top with or without removing the tip. Fill to about 1/4" of the top, start to thread the top cap on, cover the air intake and invert, finish tightening the top. Maybe just me, since I don't usually refill until darn near empty, but never have any (or much) juice up the chimney.

But there are times when I'd like to examine / adjust / replace something on the business end, and thin plastic sheeting is sure easy to come by! :toast:

Doesn't the KF 3.1 have the side fill ball valve port? Or does it have a screw on the side port?

A little big of nostalgia here.....I heard about ecigs on the internet and wanted to find out more and came across this site. That was, let's see....about 2009. I travel for work on a weekly basis from Ohio and I'm on planes all the time. Pretty hard to do for a smoker. I was working in SF at the time. I ordered a Joye 510 which seemed to be the most popular at the time and had it shipped home to Ohio and picked it up when I got there. I gave it a try and never looked back. Haven't touched an analog since. This forum really helped me get started but once I moved on from San Francisco, I stopped coming here. I'm still vaping the 510 which still works for me (imagine my horror when I found out most people had moved on from the 510!). I used to vape in the smoking lounge in the Atlanta airport and would go outside to vape along with the other smokers at work. I am glad to say I converted a few to vaping and had plenty of conversations with smokers in the smoking lounges in the airport and I still try to advocate vaping over smoking. I vape at work, discreetly, of course, and I even vape on the plane when no one is looking (they claim that it's not allowed, but no one ever sees it) I hold the darn thing in my hand all day and sometimes fall asleep with it (much better than falling asleep with a lit cigarette!) I even hold it in my mouth when I'm typing, like I am now. One day, I was at home and couldn't find it and was going from room to room looking for it and my daughter said, "umm, Mom, it's in your mouth". I haven't been able to live that one down... I'm back here now because I'm wondering if anyone has any information on another ecig like the 510 that; 1) doesn't leak so much; 2) has the same approximate size; 3) has a better atomizer life. Mine are dying within a week and it seems like they used to last for at least a month. Batteries I don't have much trouble with. I have two PCC's on me at all times and keep them charged up all day. I ordered some additional atomizers and some of them were different...they had a little point at the end instead of the little cotton thing inside and they seemed to work better but wore out quicker, I think. I also ordered a different variation of the 510 that had a tip that you are supposed to put the e-liquid in that didn't require the cotton batts but I couldn't figure out how to use it right. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, and when I am home and not on the road, I LOVE to sit on my porch with a cup of coffee and my e-cig.

Belated welcome to the porch Modapa! :D

After reading all the answers to this and looking a few things up, isn't a 510 just a cigalike? Believe that's what I tried to start with in, I believe, 2009. I still like mine for ease of use at airports. I've also read many times that people highly recommend the eRoll. Joyetech eRoll series Maybe I've gotten the whole thing wrong, or missed it, but thought I'd toss it out there.

Welcome to the porch Modapa ... looks like your already getting some suggestions on replacing your 510's.

I just started using one of the Russian V2's a week ago. I'm still unsure if I like it or it just doesn't like me. I've been rotating 4 R91's for over a year as my main vape w/o ever getting a dry hit or having issues with it wicking. I do with the V2. I run my R91's wide open as to the air control. The V2 seems more finicky w/ respect to the air draw setting. If I get it to where I like it - it doesn't seem to create enough 'draft' to pull more juice into the chamber. I have to run it a little tighter than I like to avoid the dreaded 'dry hit'.

You can make it significantly more airy than an R91 and way more airy than a KFL. But like I said when I open it up - i'm having wicking issues.

The side fill hole is working fine for me. I did learn to hold the atty upside down though when filling or I tended to flood the coil chamber.

It is significantly bigger and heavier than the R91. I have a nano kit for it and on the next tear down I think I'll give that a try to decrease the height and weight.

A downside to the side fill hole, although it is convenient, is you can't siphon the juice out with a syringe if you want to recoil/rewick before the tank is empty.

Disclaimer - at an off-site co-op forum where I got the V2, many people are liking the Russian V2. So maybe my experience is the exception.

Can't you drain it from the top? Is there no bottom fill hole? I tend to vape to the bottom of a tank before filling any way. I've only drained one tank, & that's because it had the dreaded celery juice in it. But it wasn't a full tank, less than half a stalk.

Oh kewl........thanks for the link. Have you ever had any issues ordering from FT? I mean like hacking your card, or really horrible stuff, or anything like that. I know they're slow, that's expected, and I know most of our stuff comes from China anyhow. Do they have a minimum purchase?

I've never had any problems with them, other than the occasional slow ship. There is no minimum purchase, but orders over $20 qualify for free expedited shipping. Usually, if you get $20 worth or more and take the free expedited shipping, the stuff gets here in 10 days or so. If you take the free shipping for orders under $20, or you're buying something like batteries that can't be shipped through the usual channels, it can take well over a month. You can pay a little extra for expedited shipping on orders under $20, if you want.

Always use PayPal. Most credit cards and debit cards no longer accept international charges unless you are there. If you use a CC or DC, they will ask for a photocopy of your card. Don't. No minimum purchase, but you have to spend an extra dollar for mailing if your purchase is under 20 dol.-- use China Post USPS. Don't order batteries or juice from them, that comes by truly slow boat. I generally have an eleven day wait, but this season of the year it will be substantially longer due to holidays.

I use my Bank of America debit card, and have never had any problems, so it must vary from CC issuer to CC issuer.

Does anyone by chance have a mnemonic for remembering Ohm's Law? If not, I'm gonna have to get my very first tattoo ... Or ask someone here how many watts a 200 lb man can vape if he's 76" tall and is using a mech at .5 ohms -- pretty much on a weekly basis! :)

Pretty sure most of the men on the porch have that tattoo.

Aren't those the ones WL sells? They are a longer, thinner top than MBV?

ETA Actually longer and thinner than any other juice bottle I've gotten. Just pulled one out, looks identical to yours.

Hey Flamingo, I just got those bottles in from WL and you were right! There exactly what I was looking for and just in time too! My wife is off to a Laserfiche seminar next week and I just made her up 4-30 mils of different juices to take with her. It took the last of my plastic 30s to set her up for the trip!

Thanks for the tip on where to pick them up!!!:toast::):vapor:
By the way, not like the tips on there picture on the site!

Not a mnemonic, but think of garden hoses. Diameter of the hose is like resistance. Big hoses are low resistance to water, small hoses are high resistance to water. Water pressure is like voltage and water flow is like amps. Turn up the pressure, the flow increases. Make the hose bigger, there is less resistance, the flow increases.

This gives you A = V/R

Make R bigger, A goes down. Make V bigger, A goes up.

Hope that helps...

Talk to your bank. You might switch to PP as a result.

I want my charges to go right through. We check balances and such daily and have never had a problem with anything ordered from China, I have however had some issues with stateside vendors. Most
Y mix ups but have had double charges and such.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I'm glad you let me know. No joke, I've worried about it every day. I know, I'm an idiot but I would have hated to steer you wrong. Thanks again.

Understood, Shary :)

But for many the flavor is a big part of making a successful switch, as is the nic strength. PIF hardware can actually be the easy part! Finding a middle of the road flavor and strength... not so easy. Unflavored is, of course, one option, but thinking back, and having tried it, I don't think I'd have been "convinced" to switch...

That said, I did start with some tobacco-ey flavors, and still vape some today, although I also vape a lot that aren't. So that's another item for cogitation. Many who are starting think they want the taste to simulate what they've been smoking, so... one can either cater to that, or try to open their eyes to a different experience.

In my opinion, the jolt of starting to vape instead of to smoke is PLENTY enough of a different experience for anyone. Having a flavor that is at least reminiscent of the tobacco that the person smoked before trying vaping is desirable. I know I wouldn't have even considered a flavor that wasn't tobacco+menthol, having been a Newport addict for so long.

I agree. When I started that was all I was looking for and I still vape my real cig.

Doesn't the KF 3.1 have the side fill ball valve port? Or does it have a screw on the side port?

Yes, the 3.1 has a ball valve. The screw on the side is for air flow adjustment. I just find it easier and quicker to top fill, although on my 2s I do use the bottom screw... Huh, that's just screwy?

There are numerous online, android and probably apple calculators. And there's really two formulae to deal with, Ohm's Law (E=I*R) and Watt's Law (P=I*E), where E is volts, I is current (amps), R is resistance (ohms) and P is Power (watts). Simple to remember and use if you spent 45 years as an electrician :)

Now, as to your specific question, said 200 lb male of that stature can obviously vape 5.26 watts. That's weight divided by height with the result divided by ohms. See? Simple
