Yes, the 3.1 has a ball valve. The screw on the side is for air flow adjustment. I just find it easier and quicker to top fill, although on my 2s I do use the bottom screw... Huh, that's just screwy?

There are numerous online, android and probably apple calculators. And there's really two formulae to deal with, Ohm's Law (E=I*R) and Watt's Law (P=I*E), where E is volts, I is current (amps), R is resistance (ohms) and P is Power (watts). Simple to remember and use if you spent 45 years as an electrician :)

Now, as to your specific question, said 200 lb male of that stature can obviously vape 5.26 watts. That's weight divided by height with the result divided by ohms. See? Simple

My eyes are spinning in my head!

In my opinion, the jolt of starting to vape instead of to smoke is PLENTY enough of a different experience for anyone. Having a flavor that is at least reminiscent of the tobacco that the person smoked before trying vaping is desirable. I know I wouldn't have even considered a flavor that wasn't tobacco+menthol, having been a Newport addict for so long.

Never occurred to me to try a tobacco flavor, just didn't find it appealing at all. Coffee is what rang my bell and got me off the cigs. Can't remember what I used on my two false starts, fruits I think, but most of them weren't strong enough to taste much with my fried taste buds.

Does anyone by chance have a mnemonic for remembering Ohm's Law? If not, I'm gonna have to get my very first tattoo ... Or ask someone here how many watts a 200 lb man can vape if he's 76" tall and is using a mech at .5 ohms -- pretty much on a weekly basis! :)

Not a mnemonic, but think of garden hoses. Diameter of the hose is like resistance. Big hoses are low resistance to water, small hoses are high resistance to water. Water pressure is like voltage and water flow is like amps. Turn up the pressure, the flow increases. Make the hose bigger, there is less resistance, the flow increases.

This gives you A = V/R

Make R bigger, A goes down. Make V bigger, A goes up.

Hope that helps...
Hey, this is the computer age. Just use an online calculator: Watts - volts - amps - ohms conversion calculator

Here's an online calculator then :)

Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

Just bookmark it for easy access. You're using Kanthal A1, the default. Plug in your coil diameter (I tend to mostly use a 2mm ID, but that's not written in stone!) and gauge. The default 5mm leg length may be a bit short for a Kayfun... and read the results :)

So for 1.8 with 2mm it's about 30g 7-8 wraps, & 11-12 for 28g.

Have a gallon of PG and no cool place to store it. Fries in the summer, cold in the winter. I do try to give it decent living conditions but only have so much to work with. On its second winter in the house and have noticed absolutely no difference in it. Not recommending this method but don’t get overly paranoid. Flavoring does not hold up as well.

Thanks a heap, dude. At least it doesn’t smell like El Whacko’s feet which are one step up from a boys’ high school locker room.

Awesome, I know somebody that personally knows five out of the eight tobacco flavor vapers in this galaxy.
Who knows me? Although I like a variety of flavors, evenings with a cold beer just calls for some NET (naturally extracted tobacco) flavors. I have even done some great extractions myself and almost always have some tobacco flavor some time during my day.

Another note about Fasttech. Read the item screen! Some items will say something like "ships in x# days". So if you order some in stock items and even one "ships in x days" item (another way of saying out of stock awaiting shipment?) The whole order will not ship until that item is back in stock. I watch my orders and often make several smaller orders even if I have to pay a little shipping ( usually under $1) I order what is in stock or ships next day together and out of stock items in another order. I also usually choose the epacket USPS shipping option. Get a tracking number and once it hits the states (usually 5-7 days from ship date) you can get email status notifications from USPS. Through the holidays their status updates were screwed up but now seem to be working better. I know when to stalk the mailman. ;)

When I first started I went for the tobaccos but now our of 7 ecigs that I have going only one is tobacco. I have really gotten to like fruit and sweet like RY4 and Vanilla, Mango, Blueberry, so far my TFA order I have Watermelon, Dragon Fruit, Vanilla Custard, Banana. Ever since I got smart on this forum I only vape DIY. In fact I'm getting a free bottle of juice with my new Vapor Shark it'll be my first store bought in almost a year since some friends on here sent me a sample of pg/vg/nic mix and I mixed some up and been doing it ever since.

You guys are making me feel bad that I still vape something that tastes like a smoke. I guess it keeps me off stinkies so it's ok. I've posted several times lately that I am definitely looking for some new flavors.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Don't feel bad! no one intends that I'm sure. Just different strokes for different folks. Everyone likes what they like.

and some find their magical baccy flavor

Thatz troo. Wuddever werks. But as far as me, I was blown away when I tried other flavors. I do have a baccy flavor on the shelf but rarely use it. Really glad I tried others. Well, got stuck with some samples, but I digress.

It's pretty much human nature to start looking for baccy flavors. But that changes if they end up stumbling across the "magical" flavor. That's what happened to me.

I've been vaping the same stuff for almost 3 years. Beginning to think it might just be time for a change. We have a couple of B&B around with juice bars but all at 0 nic and I haven't been able to taste a damn thing at them. Even carry suicide bunny and such. They all seem really weak to me. Suggestions?

I find the juice bars with 0 nic don't really work for me. The nic does add something.

But FWIW, I really don't like strawberries at all. But tried a strawberries and cream juice. Amazing. Now I gagged at the thot of vaping chocolate even tho I'm a chocoholic. It's been my ADV for nearly a year. But changing... YMMV. But I think everyone should give a few "odd" flavors a shot. IMO there's a whole new world waiting out there. Trouble is... so many flavors really suck! Depends on who makes it.
