Jup........and just so everyone will be up to speed......... Florida is comprised of two main parts. The sticky out part.......and the hangy down part. [emoji23] (yes my son always made fun of me for that, but everyone knew what I meant)
I'm moving to the bottom of the hangy down part.

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!

Yeah, around the home anything bigger n' that would be really odd. But get out into heavy equipment or machinery you'll find some you kin stick yer thumb in quite common.
I've got a set that goes all the way to 14mm. A lot of them thar foreign cars have her socket head bolts.

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!

Come to think of it, I have used one that's 9/16 or 5/8 of an inch to manually turn the engine crank on my 1948 Allis-Chalmers B tractor. I didn't have a key that size, but made one out of an 8" or 10" long threaded eye-bolt, putting a couple of nuts of the appropriate size on the end. Or wait... my memory is tellin' me that I use the eye-bolt end to stick through the opening below the front grill to turn the engine crank, and that I put a ratchet and socket on the hex nuts at the threaded end of the shaft. It's been a while, will find out again very soon, since the weeds are startin' to grow.

Here she is. Ain't she purty!?

I've got a neighbor that will probably buy that off you today and come get it. He collects and restores them.

Ok, the torx are more or less a bushing. But the allens are set screws.

Gary are you sure it's a set screw and not a roll pin? Your going to force me to go look at mine aren't you?

Hot dang, looks who caught up on her reading!

SuperHamster.jpg

Came on last night and read pages and pages and pages and got to around 710 and ran across my last post. Got on this morning to get all the way caught up and the internet went down. Finally finished. You guys have been very busy, hope y'all have left something online for me to buy.

See Matt is skipping spring and looking ahead to summer. Can't blame him there.

To the new porchers, a very warm welcome and which one of you scored the coveted whoopee cushion? Glad to have you all here and nice to see you've all settled in so well. :)

Crunched my numbers today and I've just passed the $10,000 saved today. Still floors me every time I look. Still can't think of anything shiny to buy, happy with what I have, so will buy Sloth a stiff drink from all of us if we get to meet up next month. Sounds like he can use one.

Bells, The technical term is "booger up", boogering is something else all together.

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!

Where I come from, my use of the word boogering is entirely correct and above reproach. There are only three words that can be used in front of "up" when referring to wrecking something. Nary a one of those words begins with a b.

Hay, I'm olde'. I called it a bushing since I furgot what the terminology was. It was either bushing or thingy! Now that's on the torx. The allen is definitely a set screw.

You can actually buy Allen her wrenches with the hanger down part. You can also buy them with a "t" handle that helps you grip them. I personally like the t handle variety. Have both a metric and SAE set. Also have a set of each with a ball end on the, so you can use them without going straight into the fastener. He he'd screws are much better in my eyes that even Phillips head screws but, if your going to use her head screws you have to buy good ones otherwise they strip rather easily.

Huh? What?

It's like a straight allen key and a handle, like a screwdriver. The handle can have a set screw in it so you can change the sizes. I have several small ones for my attys. The hex seems to hold better than the Phillips for them. JMHO What are you trying to do Deb? Put a handle on one?

Hi all, been over in Reoville for a bit learning all about them (and I have Deb to thank for showing me the actual path :D) I have wanted to try them and now I have. She gave me the push. I'm pretty hooked on them, just ordered a 3rd. Well built, small, simple and they just work, coil, a bit of wick, squonk, vape. Life just got a lot simpler. I have seen a few folks from here over there. The Woodvil sale is sorta soon and Rob is coming out with some hot resin designs. I am stickin' with the plain aluminum for now with work and all. Maybe next year for a Woodvil when I hopefully retire.

So welcome all new folks, the more the merrier. :toast: I have some KFL's and Lemo's I'd like pay forward, is there anyplace to post these, I don't really want to sell them, they were good to me. But I would gladly send them on to someone new that's maybe just getting started with KF's and the Lemo's a good atty that's pretty easy to build. I'm not getting rid of all of them but a few can go.

So hi all and now I have dogs to groom
Hey Pep, good to hear from you. Doree and I still haven't made it South for good yet but, we're close. Probably moving for good in May or June. Hopefully see you then. ☺

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!

Okay, you made me update my spreadsheet - I had not checked it in a while. $8,714.25 so far and I have in my possession a 2 -3 year supply and except for miscellaneous flavors and stuff I will not need to buy anything for a while - so it is all down hill from here. I am going to have to give myself a special treat on my birthday...

Who makes the best Vanilla? I think I would like a good one. I tried some from can't-remember-where awhile back and it wasn't very palatable. And I haven't found a Butterscotch I could stand either, even tho I like a Buttershots Schnapps shot occasionally for dessert after supper.

Possible that this has been answered - I'm still catching up, but was afraid I'd forget to reply! Nicoticket's Frenilla is the best vanilla I've ever had. Ever.they have 20% off a juice each week, as posted in the NT forum. This week is Absolut Creme Brûlée (also fantastic), but I would guess Frenilla will be on sale, soon.

Phew! If I had to read one more post on wrenches ... :)

I'm caught up, too. It's taken two days, and I haven't even been round back, yet. I'm just going to hope Semi has done a synopsis, and call it a day ;). Looks like everyone's doing well, despite hangin' thingies, PSS juice, and a tractor that isn't for sale but should be. Oh. And every conceivable type of wrench and a snake (which deserves a far stronger acronym than PSS!).

If I've missed welcoming any new Porchers, consider it done. Porches, as we all know, make friendly places to sit, chat and vape awhile. Make yourselves comfy and watch your wallets. Those folks who've been bragging about their savings have done so by helping the rest of us spend our money.

I've been missing all y'all, but am in a quiet time. Sometimes, that's what's called for. I'm here, though -- can't get rid of me that easily!

Nope - no synopsis on the Back Porch - figured I would wait till the end of the month - it has slowed down a bit though, which for many will be a good thing.

And I do not help people spend money - I help them save money... The last PV I bought only cost $20 (on clearance sale).

And nobody would ever try to get rid of you - you are to much fun!!! ;)
