lol yeah if I vaped at the wattage and ohms you do, I expect I'd be lowering nic as well. I really thought I would lower it when I started with the Reo and rda's, but 24 to 18 was too big a drop, however, I have noticed I'm vaping less, so same results kinda. either that or the nuppin just doesn't use much juice even with a dual coil. Of course, it's about net 1.3 ohms
1.3 isn't really tootling. I believe there is some vape hog in you and it's trying to come out. Put fewer wraps on those coils and come on over to the dark side.:sneaky:

Flavor is as important as having some nic in there to me. Sometimes unflavored does the job too though.

I got lucky with a flavor I liked right off the bat. Had the cravings, strong cravings, for a while. Found two old packs of cigs and tried one (when I was NOT having cravings) about three months if IIRC. It was stunning how bad it was. Killed any cravings for a long, long time. Think what I miss most now is the instant nic fix. I've learned to be more patient.

I had horrible cravings for about 8 months til I went back up to 24mg nic. Jup I'm sure she is hangin in there, but hope we can find something to help her with em

Me too. With her job, I think she needs some help with the "quick fix" thing. I'm sure she can do it and really happy she's still hanging in there trying.

Sorry you're havin a bad night tutu!

Thank you. :) Husband has and new boss that thinks he's the head of the Gestapo so my night wasn't as bad as his day. Did up my nic for a few hours though.

I take pretty short puffs mostly. Doesn't get hot at all. But you go ahead pretending to be a tootler.
see that's the thing that sorta knocks me outta tootling.....I love long deep inhales. Short puffs just don't cut it.
you're totally crackin me up!

Bosses make things harder than they have to be. Mine is 25 and knows everything. Can't tell him nuthin.

It's been a pleasure talking with my pals on the porch but I'm calling it a night. See y'all.

wb peach. That's the one I'd posted in the hangout, but wasn't sure you'd seen it. I haven't really looked at the juice part of it, but it's great for the coil building, and figuring watts/volts etc. It has several calculators on the various tabs

Nite Metal......been fun! had to go search in the body for your response lol

What wattage are you using on your battery? The Nautilus is one of the few tanks I've used that hasn't been a problem for me with spitting up the chimney. It certainly shouldn't be coming out in your eye. I vaped 70%PG liquid in it the past two weeks every day with no spitback so I'm wondering if you're using very low wattage and it's not atomizing all the juice the tank is wicking. A coil can flood and spit if it's not atomizing all the juice and the wick keeps pulling more in. FWIW, I would vape 50/50 around 10- 12 watts. YMMV

To clear a flooded coil, take the tank off the battery, fold a paper towel over the drip tip and shake out the excess juice. See if that doesn't cure the spitting. Video example I learned from when I started:

Sometimes there is a little hassle involved with vaping, especially in the beginning until you know what works for you. I hope you will keep at it long enough to enjoy the feeling of being a non smoker.

Thanks for the video and info. That was last night's batch. I was vaping at 8 watts. I started out using volts, but changed over to watts in Deb's den last night, so I'm not sure what watts, but it was low. I'm at 8.5 now. I'll see about moving it up later today.

The guy is a real piece of work. The last department manager's pet. Husband needs to take up vaping 36mg, lol.

Sleep well Metal.

Y'all want history?? LOL I'm lucky if I can remember what happened yesterday. OK, Ok, I'll give it my best shot.

Started vaping at the end of September 2014. I started with a couple of e go sticks and the atomizers that came with them. I started at 18mg after having smoked for over 40 years and at the point of 2 packs a day. In the beginning, I did really well, and immediately dropped down to 1/2 pack a day instead of 2.

After about 3 months, I started having equipment problems, and the feeling that I wasn't getting enough. I became frustrated. My cigarette intake went up. I switched to a variable volt with some Aspire tanks. I forget what kind. It got better again, but I still felt like I was missing something.....got depressed.

Somewhere down the line, I learned about WTAs and switched to an MVP 2 and kept vaping at 18 mg. I tried different tanks and thus far have had the best time with Aspire tanks and really got cooking with an Aspire mini Nautilus. Right now my go to stuff consists of a couple of MVPs and the mini Nautilus and I finally upped my nicotine to 24 mg and I'm out of WTA.

My guess right now is that I'm going to have to bite the bullet and put my hands on more WTA. I'm stressing right now and don't know what I'm stressing about. I feel brain fogged and blah.....plus I'm one of those who has a hard time asking for help.

I have a similar experience if I vape less than my usual 18. Via different avenues, I have some small amounts of 12 (samples, gifts) that are really nice flavors - but it's chain vape time to make up for what my body perceives as a lack...

And with all the honest research on benefits to nic, well, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it! :D

Yeah, equipment problems are no fun. (And THAT'S my excuse to have lots of hardware! )

While it's possible to go higher on the nic, if the WTA did the trick for you in the past, that's probably the best way for you. Unfortunate that you're not in the instant switch group, but not everyone is. Just don't beat yourself up about being a dual user. As is often said, only count the ones you don't smoke. That's progress. The switch is, for many, a process, not like a light switch, more like a dimmer. If the dimmer's at 25% now, well, that's 75% saved.

Do you talk to a counselor or anything like that? I see one every other week and it's been helpful. It's actually kind of fun, too.

Yeah this is a city govt. The lack of professionalism and cronyism has been pretty shocking. As far as they are concerned, there are no laws except the ones they make.

Well I just discovered something weird. I had 4 STM and was building them at 28awg NI200 getting .088 everytime so I decided to get 2 more. The new ones have 4 air settings instead of 3. I did the same build 7 wraps at 3mm and kept coming out .098 first I thought it was the build but after 5 coils I decided it wasn't so I wrapped 6 wraps and came out with my .085 Which is where I like but not sure what the diff is between the 2 heads other than the 1 extra hole but apparently something is. So the old ones I have to use 7 wraps newer ones 6. Go figure.

I have several mods that display length of toke but I think my iSticks are the only ones that leave the elapsed time on the screen for a second or two after I release the power button, long enough for me to take a look.

What has surprised me is that my tokes are shorter than I thought they were, sometimes as short as 2.0 seconds and hardly ever as long as 6.0 seconds.
