@2legsshrt, @MattB101 ... looks like Evolv is doubling down on the Asian chips. They're about to release a new dna board w/ 200watts, firmware upgradeable temp controlled board, works with Ni, Ti and other wires. It will require a 3S Lipo batt (whatever that is) or 3x 18650s to power it.

Will this be for vaping or a pocket sized barbeque?

But it ought to be able to go for a long week without power at, say, 9 watts.

vaping some Mister E Liquid RY4 in the Tugboat clone tonight. If you don't like a tobacco vape, this is the RY4 to try. Can't recall ever dripping this before. Tried it in the Subtank and it was pretty good but this is very good dripped at .8 Ohm 27 watts single coil. This is the RY4 I should have sent to Deb for her to try.

Definitely the best vape I've had all week. Dripped some Patriot extracted tobacco from Good E Juice today and it was great too. As my building has improved, I'm moving more towards dripping and away from tanks. It's so easy to dry burn, put a new wick in and go with a completely different flavor.

I've enjoyed this Tugboat clone enough that I'm fighting the urge to order the authentic tonight. Kinda need to hold off another week but I'd love to have one.

Another part of the pre-announcement I saw said "balanced charging" but until I read your post I had no idea what that meant.

Yep, they need to be balanced. If you can plug the mod in and it will do that, it's a nice feature. Charging your batts is about to get more complex and more expensive. My charger is a Hyperion, a good one but it could only do one pack at a time and would only charge at a slower rate. At the sanctioned races, these batts are required to be charged in fire resistant charging sack.

I'm sure a lot of this stuff has come a long way since I fooled with it though. This was 3-4 years ago, I guess.

Do any online US vendors have a gift certificate option? My son is in an area with many B&M's, and I want to show him that online can be cheaper. He does not have the patience for shipments from China. LOL.

Pretty sure any vendor would sell you a gift certificate whether they advertise it or not. You know how they ask you if you have coupon or code to put in during checkout? Finally dawned on me this was one of the options.

Went almost three years 'caring' a lil' too much 'bout my v-verts. Now... I gave 'em my links and da few that are still vaping are still paying out da nostrils fer whatever dey buy locally. Horse to water... gotta be thirsty... <sigh>

Nothing wrong with a v-vert as long as they want to be a v-vert. Some people are just .... lazy. Then again, I wonder how dependant I would have become on someone who tried to help me through it. Blundered through it by myself because I hadn't found ECF. Man, it sure got easier after I found this place. You can show them the path but you can't walk it for them

My husband said he worked with a new twenty something employee today that smokes and asked him if he’d tried vaping. The guy said no and that ecigs still had tar in them so there was no point anyway. Where do they get this stuff?

The ideas being thunk out loud for making PVs sound amazing. I know very little about the hows, whats, whens and whys of ECF rules.

I hope that everyone will take care, though, to avoid posting anything that could be construed as an offer to buy or an offer to sell, no matter how friendly, innocent, informal and non-binding.

Being a mech mod seems I like 0.4Ω dual coil builds. With the 4.15v - 3.6v of the battery range i use them at.

Just tried my 10 day old DIY RY4 using 20 drops of FA flavoring in 10ml of 50/50 unflavored base liquid. Don't really get anything like an RY4 or tobacco. Not a bad vape at all but it's about like vaping unflavored with a hint of something else, IDK what. Don't think I'm very close on this one and don't have any confidence the next batch will be different. Seems like with this many drops (approx 10%), I should taste something.

The 7 Leaves tobacco is quite a bit stronger with the same percentages. Doesn't seem like I'm far off on it. Probably could use fewer drops with it. Not really what I'm looking for in a synth tobacco but it's not bad. A bit more floral than I like. Looking for dry and tobaccoey with a good bite to it. Could be my mix is off though. Going to try another 10ml with ten drops in it.

I've found that a floral taste in non-floral flavoring usually means too much flavoring. Hope that helps...

Going to try another 10ml with ten drops in it.

Might want to try the FA Desert Ship, then, for a full tobaccoey flavor.

And I'm with Iffy on too much of the 7 Leaves in the mix. Doesn't take much of that! (Of course, it could also be that you just don't care for it! )

I first tried it in '09, might have been '10 but pretty sure it was '09. Was told to use 4mg with a cigalike and of course, that didn't work. Never even occurred to me that someone might have a vaping forum back then. I'm really bummed I didn't know then what I could have known then but at least I finally got it and succeeded. Better late than never. And I'm very grateful NJOY wubstepped up to the plate back then so I could discover vaping all over again.

Am I misremembering, or as Deb would say, is my rememberer all cornfoozled that steeping often gets rid of that floral bouquet?

Depends on the flavoring. Some, yes, that will work - if steeped with the cap and tip off, so it can air out.

I woke up again this morning again with a killer headache. I thought diluting my juices would take care of the problem, but it isn't. I am going to vape exclusively my dump bottle and my tobacco for 24, and see what happens.

Those floral teas may be a trigger. If getting away from them resolves the problem, then I will try them individually, without the tea.

While working on hydration, and a bedtime meal so I can take Ibu instead of aceta.
