Darn, and I just bought a new box of paperclips. How many wraps on a pencil does it take to get .05ohms on my homemade PVC mod with a single 18650 battery? Should I use the big clips or the little ones? <dripping sarcasm>

What is going on in the Forums these days???? I've just read another relatively "terse" series of discussions in one of my favorite threads. It's like everyone has their panties in a wad.

When I first hopped on the ECF train over a year ago, the "factions" were the Provarinati, the Reonauts, and the Innokin Nation. But, almost EVERYONE was incredibly helpful (at least in the primary threads I would read.)

Now, it's "My mod is bigger than your mod, i.e. your choice of mod is stupid, and I am superior" and "I wanna blow huuuuuge clouds with an 18350 battery - is that safe? Oh and no, I don't know what an ohmmeter does, so I am gonna wrap three twists of a paperclip around my finger - that should work, right?"

Wow, I'm very sad.

Yes, @Ken_A. It is MUCH calmer here - perhaps some "maturity" in this thread?

Everyone in this thread has been warm and welcoming. It is quite refreshing. And most are long-time vapers, so there's no "I'm right and you're wrong" going on here... I am eternally grateful for all the help I've received during my journey. Winding and wicking coils, mixing juice, electronics refreshers (hold a degree in electrical engineering, but haven't practiced it in over 20 years....) It's been a re-education for sure.

You're welcome. My grandkids live in Houston and come to visit twice a year. Before they get here, all of my DIY gear and spare mods and toppers will be put away. It is just me and by 30+-year-old daughter in the house so major child-proofing takes place prior to their visit.

Isn't 16 a bit young for that? I remember when Oregon let a little boy die because they said it was too much money to spend on one individual to treat him. I think he was around 3-5 years old. Still makes me sick.

A couple of days ago was the first time my foot found a piece of kanthal. That was an experience I will not forget. I had just vacuumed, and it must have been standing straight up. Even though it was smaller than a hypo, it hurt more, probably because of the surprise.

I'm scared bleepless of needles. Actually, I'm just a big wuss when it comes to needle, last time I was going in for an allergy shot I had a nightmare about it the night before. Medical staff had a good laugh over it. I'd think kanthal would hurt like a sunofagun. Has to be a ragged end on it, not pointy.
