@Iffy: I tried to send you a PM but got the message that your inbox was full.

I think you ought to amend your choice of language regarding what the Back Porch is for. My comment is not intended to be personal and I hope you won't take it that way.

I suggest "plunder and pillage" instead of what you wrote.

It's just you! The rest of us always know what we're doing.

Not a bad idea......I wasn't offended but it could get a smack down from a mod.

Just noticed your supporting member thing is gone also, did it expire, or is there a glitch.

I'm going to retire or semiretire both of my Cloupor DNA 30 mods. They have served me well for about a year and half.

I'm one of those who usually pooh-poohs the idea that there's any significant difference between mods when it comes to vape quality. I tend to think that it's the delivery device that controls vape quality.

Yet, with the same Kanger Subtank delivery devices with 0.6 ohm coils, it seems I'm getting a lot better vape on my iSticks and on my Sigelei 100 W box mod than I'm getting from the DNA 30 mods. I can't deny the sensory evidence. I have no idea why, but there is a bit of burnt taste when I use the DNA 30s, even when I crank the wattage down much lower than I'm using on the iSticks and the Sigelei.

In other news, I couldn't resist ordering the new iStick 40 W TC mod, for $40 including shipping. It will fire 0.05 ohm nickel coils, whereas my Heatvape Invader Mini needs nickel coils to be at least 0.1 ohms.

Biggie, I'm (as most know) an advocate of the SVD. No clue why but I get the best vape with them hands down. Yes it beats the provari by a mile. Problem with the SVD... is the problems with the SVD. Even the SVD2 can't deliver the same satisfaction. Makes no sense but it seems to be.. it is what it is.

I'm kinda like that too......cept.....I know that even though it was built badly being cheapo plastic, I couldn't deny that anything I put on the VV gripper tasted better than it did on supposedly better mods. go figger. Many hated pwm, but on the gripper, which was my only experience with it, I loved it!

Hi all! Dropping in for a moment to share some good vape news! Spending bill exempts e-cigs from FDA review | TheHill
((((((Kenna)))))))) hiya sweetie!!! yay!!! it sure was close, but that's great news!! Had to quote this part.......at least one person gets it.
”E-cigarettes is not really smoking,” Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) said. “I think most people realize they are less dangerous than cigarettes and yet we’re subjecting them to a higher level of regulation.”

I think it still does, but might wanna make sure yours aren't set not to. Don't remember what the default is.....but some folks have complained that it seems some of their settings got switched at some point

Bells - maybe this has something to do with it. The DNA30 doesn't do 'buck'. It can boost the batt voltage but it can't buck (reduce) it. So the lowest voltage you can vape at is the current charge level of the battery. Say you have it set for 3.7 volts and the batt has a fresh charge - then you'll be vaping at 4.2 volts, not 3.7.

I was wondering if that might be the case, Mike, and was hoping that somebody who knew the facts would be able to save me from having to do research. You done did it, thanks!

So I think what that means is that if my battery is at, let's say, 4.0 volts, and I have a 0.6 ohm coil, the minimum power that the DNA 30 is going to vape at is 26.67 watts. No wonder it tastes burnt!

On the other hand, when I'm using my Nautilus under the same conditions but with a 1.8 ohm coil, it will vape at 8.89 watts. Since I vape at higher wattage than that with my Nautilus I'd never even notice that the DNA 30 can't buck down. That explains why the problem exists only with my 0.6 ohm coils and not with my 1.8 ohm coils.

Thanks again! In semiretirement, my DNA 30s will be used only with coils of 1.8 ohms or higher.
