Only if you get caught. Apparently. It is called lobbying.
No. Really. Totally legal. Normal practice. But I think someone tried to stop it. Dunno if they ever did or not.

I have emailed back and forth with Vapor Range, then called back and forth. Everything was supposed to be fixed. But, it isn't. And, now I just get what sounds like a fax machine when I call.

I sent one last email. I probably won't know until tomorrow because it seems they only answer emails once a day, around noon-ish or so.

Tomorrow afternoon, if the kayfun deal still isn't working, I'm going to reward myself for my patience, frustration, and disappointment by purchasing a Luxury Box instead.

Yes, but it's VW, a side-by-side (which I love), and affordable.
No problem. Just checkin'. :) I got nuttin against FT either. Just takes time. But FWIW, seems GB is pricier than FT.

What did I miss? What.s going on with a Kayfun?

Just built a 26 gauge titanium coil, 3 mm inside diameter, 3.5 loops, .26 ohms.

This is just the second one I've made. Like the first one it's working well from the get-go in TC (Nickel 200) mode on my TC devices. On my iStick TC40W it's working best at 250 F; on my Koopor 60W it's working best at 270 F.

Both devices keep things relatively simple by enabling only temperature adjustment when in TC mode. The power level is handled by the chip. I really think that's a good idea and it seems to me an effective way to deal with TC. However, the Koopor has "soft, regular and hard" modes selectable. I'm currently using "hard" mode and the vape seems a little better on the Koopor than on the iStick. If I raise the temp to 260 F on the iStick the vapor tastes a little burnt.

If I try to chain vape the vapor gets thinner. Keeping it down to 2 or 3 hits per minute keeps the vapor production more consistent. With my first titanium coil, which was around .57 ohms if I remember, the vapor became thin on EVERY hit after about 2 days. I'll let you know if this current lower-resistance titanium coil is good for a longer period.

KGD cotton wick as usual.

That's the latest from the NC campus of Legs TC University.
That seems like kind of a high resistance for 3 wraps. The atty you are using must have a little higher static resistance unless you are using the STM. With Unkamen 26 at 5 wraps I get .26 with Crazy Wire I get .28 but the Crazy wire is not a true 26 more like 26.5. I like the 5 wraps and so far I like the Unk better. It hits temp at a lower J setting and seems to put out more vapor the downside is it eats juice like crazy. Using 3 SXM's all day 2 with Unk and 1 with Crazy Wire I go though a full tank on each one with Unk and about a half with the Crazy wire. I use KGD also. So on yours you have no power adjustment in TC mode? That might be the diff between TC and Temp Limiting. IDK My SXM's have power adjustment in any mode and 4 different modes Soft, Eco, Powerful and Powerful+. Also I have found with the STM when I wick it I get the best results wicking with the chimney off and cutting it just the length from the coil to the threads for the chimney, wick it real tight then I wet it and stick it to the side of the bars that hold the coil and put the chimney on then make sure your juice channels are clear from the wick an put the top cap of the chimney on. I'm getting really good results doing it that way. The wick is really short but works great. Oh also with the Unk I get the best results at 260-265 with the CW about 275 but I like a cooler vape.. I'm really happy with the Ti. I have about 2 weeks on these 3 coils and I made them all the same day to see how they look after 3 weeks or so and how they clean up when I rewick. I'm happy getting 6 weeks on a coil. The Unk is hard to wrap by hand but works good wrapping a contact coil on the Coilmaster and stretching it into a spaced coil. It is not annealed. Are you using the stuff you got from China. I've heard it is pretty good stuff. I have talked about the juice usage with the Unk and the guys on the Ti thread think it may be caused from the rough finish due to the acid wash procedure they use that causes etching on the wire. I would hate to use that special reserve juice on the Unk. It would cost me about $40 a week but DIYing is cheap.

I had said it was 3.5 wraps, not 3 wraps, but it's actually 4.0 wraps. (Legs coming off in opposite directions.. I had been thinking that involved a half wrap but it only works that way with full wraps, I think. Previous thinking was faulty, I think.)

I agree that's higher resistance than Steam Engine says the coil should have but my other titanium coil also read higher than predicted.

Anyway, it's now measuring .29 ohms in my Kanger Subtank Plus. It's the Sweetspot Vapors 26 gauge titanium wire. I haven't tried the 3FVape titanium wire yet. The Sweetspot wire is shiny, the 3FVape wire is dull gray.

Not on FT yet. Maybe next week :)
I have to admit, I really don't like GearBest. They are a little more expensive too. But, they don't carry exactly the same things as FT.
Interesting! 'Bout da size of a cig pack.
Isn't it cool? VW mod that will fit a Kayfun on the side in a nice, neat package.

Oh, I was just whining about how Vapor Range just won't seem to take my money for the Kayfun's that are on sale. It's one thing after another. Their credit card system and website are a mess.

Wouldn't it be hard to see what our measurement is with clear liquids? Big bonus that I couldn't destroy them though. :)

DH - I'm sorry that Vaper Range is being so difficult. :(
I think the markings are visible from the inside, too. You just look at the liquid level inside the cup.

I want to be the first sexagenarian on my block to use SS 304 wire for coil-making, so I just ordered 10 meters each of 24, 26 and 28 gauge from Fasttech. Actually took a rare wander away from the Porches in search of threads about titanium wire. Didn't find any (wasn't looking very hard) but did find a couple regarding stainless steel wire. I didn't know until a few minutes ago that anyone was using it for coil-making.

Hope no one put out a Silver Alert when I vacated my chair on the Porches. I'm back now anyway.

Here's a Titanium thread Bells. I think 2legs uses this thread.

Well, I was going to, but then I thought that either you or Legs would think it a good material for coils...
