So on yours you have no power adjustment in TC mode? That might be the diff between TC and Temp Limiting.
I have one TC that does have power adjustment in TC mode, a Heatvape Invader Mini, but it's my least favorite TC mod and I haven't yet tried any of my 3 titanium coils on it.

Power level is a way to control how fast you reach the temperature limit that you set. With my mods that have only temperature adjustment, that means that the wire is going to reach the set temperature using all available power. I think that's a good way to do it. Later on, I'll put today's titanium coil on the Invader Mini and see what difference it makes to change the power setting at my selected temperature.

Today's titanium coil: I used the wire from 3FVape for the first time. 4 loops, 3mm inside diameter came out to 0.22 ohms. I also drilled 2 holes in my Kanger Subtank chamber with a 5/64" drill bit. It's working beautifully right now at just 230 to 270 degrees F (Nickel 200 mode) on my istick TC40W and on my Koopor 60W, possibly a little better on the Koopor. I'll know within a couple hours whether the extra feed holes have cured the "thin vape" problem that developed with my previous titanium coils.

Seems to me, stainless would be a real bee-awch to coil.
I'll let you know in 6 months when my FT order arrives. According to what I was reading in a stainless steel wire Forum thread, it's slightly easier to coil than titanium, and I've had no problem whatsoever making titanium coils on my CoilMaster jig.

My opinion is that any kind of wire is a SOB without a good coil jig, and that every kind of wire is easy with a good coil jig.

The one thing I have noticed on the SXM is the more power you use the more the rattlesnake sound appears. That's part of the reason I only use enough power to reach temp. I haven't heard whether SS will work in TC without the additional feature of TCR adjustment. YiHi is supposed to be coming out with an upgraded model in December that is supposed to really have some special features. I've heard that if you own an M not to get the ML because it is not that great of an upgrade. Not sure what the one in December is supposed to do but who knows. At $200 a wack kind of expensive to experiment in my opinion. We are really thinking on the SXM thread that they are going to do like they have done before and quit upgrading the older models when they come out with a new one. The ML will have the TCR adjustment on board and not have to hook it to a computer with a special app to change it like the DNA200 which will also use any wire you know the TCR of. They are saying that surgical grade SS will be the safest wire to use compared to Kanthal. IDK that much about it. I think it has a resistance close to Kanthal.

Stainless steel wire, regardless of what type of stainless steel is used, has about half the resistance of Kanthal wire. You can verify that on the Steam Engine coil-building site.

"Surgical grade" has no specific definition and can be any of several types... most often it's Type 316 but it can also be Type 304 or other types.

I likewise read that SS wire is the safest to use but didn't read the article so I don't know how that conclusion was reached.

There's a lot of folklore/ folk wisdom/ mysticism about all these things. Clearly a lot of what's being said is not based on actual understanding and knowledge. I try (not always successfully) to avoid speculation... I don't want to add to the pool of misinformation.

Another thing I really like about my iStick 40 and my Koopor is that I tell these devices whether I'm using a TC coil rather than having the device make its own guess. That enables me to use titanium even though the boards are only programmed for Nickel 200. It will also enable me to use SS in TC mode or in power mode, whichever I choose. I like that choice being in my hands instead of being forced to accept the guess made by the chip in the device.

With my Heatvape Invader Mini, it thinks it knows what kind of wire my coil is made of, and it therefore won't read titanium as being a TC coil.

Getting to be so mutch carp out there I'm about ready to give up and just drink juice. :/
Except for the tobacco flavors I taste just a bit of my new mixes before I vape em.
Just a drop on the fingerand lick it off. And YES I know where my finger has been! :D

I have emailed back and forth with Vapor Range, then called back and forth. Everything was supposed to be fixed. But, it isn't. And, now I just get what sounds like a fax machine when I call.

I sent one last email. I probably won't know until tomorrow because it seems they only answer emails once a day, around noon-ish or so.

Tomorrow afternoon, if the Kayfun deal still isn't working, I'm going to reward myself for my patience, frustration, and disappointment by purchasing a Luxury Box instead.
Which have you wound up with?
I think the markings are visible from the inside, too. You just look at the liquid level inside the cup.
Makes sense. I've gotten sick of measuring VG though. Stick everything in the bottle and then just top it off with VG. So much easier.
He has complained of having to pluck errant kanthal pieces out of his nether regions. ;)
Surely you can't be serious ?
I am serious and don't call me Shirley
Shirley! How ya been?

I have some 120 ml bottles I premix PG/VG in just pour by MK1 eyeball 1/2 full of PG then fill the rest of the way with VG allowing a bit of shake room. I do not see the need for really precise ratios of PG and VG in ejuice. 55/45 is basically the same as 50/50 or 45/55. Just me though.
Put my flavorings and nic in a 30 ml bottle top with my premix and shake. Throw in a carafe of hot tapwater, remove when water is cool, shake and vape.
works for me. Usually I have one bottle I vape on and one in the wings so it does get to steep for a few days.

I have found that Banana flavors do benefit from steeping. One of the few I make that do benefit from steeping.
There is not enough money in the world to make me vape anything banana flavored. Eek. But I agree, some do benefit greatly from steeping. I like to put things off until the last minute, maybe that's why I've stuck with one that doesn't need much steeping. If I wait until I run out, I only have to suffer the consequences for one day.

I was the same way after making my first batch of banana flavored ejuice. Pretty bleah. Picked it up again in a month and it was pretty good. so I mixed in some strawberry ejuice I had made and had some pretty good Strawnanner.
