It's going to cost $5.95 for shipping regardless of whether you buy 1 screw or 2 boxes of 100 screws each, but the screws themselves are dirt cheap here:
Metric machine screws, Phillips pan head, Stainless steel 18-8, 2mm x 0.4mm - Bolt Depot

The Taifun uses one of those screws in 20 mm length for the positive post and one that's 14 mm in length for the negative post, assuming that the SmokerStore link shows the correct sizes. The 20 mm screws are $0.08 each or $5.18 for 100, and the 14 mm screws are $0.06 each or $3.72 for 100.
Thanks bells!!

I was just wondering. Do hardware stores not carry this kind of stuff? That would make it easier and cheaper.

I'm thinking the sides of the vapor chamber, to make them more like the V2 :

Kanger-SUBOX-New-RBA-vs-Old-RBA.jpg

V2 on the left, original on the right.

You may regret that when we start spending your money for you :)

Welcome to all the new old friends!

I left the original juice channels as they were. The two holes I drilled are in the sleeve, 1/4" above the bottom of the sleeve, and they are directly above the juice channels when the sleeve is screwed on to the base.

Still going great another 24 hours after my last report.

Edit: yes, just like the picture that David O posted.

Well these posts certainly clear it up. I'm so 'dated' ... until David posted the V2 picture I'd never seen one, just heard there was a newer version of it.

To me, it's much easier and cheaper to spend the $6 for postage than to make a trip to the hardware store, and that's without accounting for the fact that I spend a lot less of my time. Just a different way of looking at it.

Yes, Mike, where the heck have you been? I mean, the V2 came out a good 3 weeks ago! :) (I only found out about it 4 days ago, and I haven't used anything but the Kanger Subtank RBA deck for months.)

Generally they don't carry things that small. I've read around here that a hobby shop that caters to RC (radio control) hobbies may, but they may not be existing in your area...

Actually longer than that - FT has 'em now, so it's at least a month

Got a couple on the way from there, will post about them. Eventually...

Any hardware stores I have been to near me don't carry screws that small.
How about "Fasteners", you would have to order online, here is the link.
http://www.fastenersuperstore.com
Looks like all bulk sales at a glance, but if you can find what you need I would be happy to stop by my local fasteners store, grab a few screws toss them in an envelope and mail them to you.
There is also "Mcmaster Carr",
McMaster-Carr
They sell screws in bulk, but much smaller quantities.

Might want to go to a local supply with your RBA.
Could try to google:
San Antonio, TX: fastener supply
or
San Antonio, TX: machine shop supply
Recommend, phone first to check on price/availability.

Thank you! I have been lurking for quite some time. Very nice thread, full of good info, and friendly advice!
Welcome! If you've been lurking, you probably have one of those uncomfortable folding chairs over in that dark corner of The Porches. Pick something more cushy & come into the light & enjoy the views! Bring your vape & a beverage!

Yeah, I'd say a RC hobby shop that repairs RC's would be the best bet. Or maybe a small motor repair shop. (Just remember, an engine is not a motor) Jeweler... it's a shot.

I didn't mean to make someone else do my legwork, thought someone would know offhand. :(

Do you know where you are? 30 people kicked into Shopping Mode when you asked that question! Now let go of your wallet.....[emoji385] [emoji385] [emoji385] [emoji389]

I checked with McMaster Carr for small Lemo Drop screws and was told they don't carry that small screw. But I might have asked for the wrong thing...

Hello Kenna, don't mind if I do, thank you!

Wasn't sure about them. Used to get Nichrome wire from them and I see they don't have that any more either!

they generally do not carry the small metric screws. And not too many metric screws period. This is the mostly non metric USA.

No matter what anyone calls them outside of the states, in the states everyone will recognize "set" screws. But there are two types. Flat bottom and pointed bottom. I'd say flat bottom is what would be used in this case.
