How do you all clean your syringes & needles after mixing with nic?
I have 1ml syringes I use for nic and flavors and 3ml and 10ml I use for PG and VG. When it comes to cleaning, I have my ejuice supplies set up on my bedroom sink cabinet. I run the sink with hot soapy water and wash all of the syringes in the soapy water and then rinse them in hot water. After the syringes are dry I give the rubber (?) ends a coating of VG so they slide easily in the syringes. I also have taken a strip of clear packing tape around the outside of each syringe so the ml markings won't wear off and become unreadable.
When it comes to measuring the VG and PG, I remove the plunger and then rest the blunt needle against my little finger. I can then hold the syringe to see the markings and fill the syringe, replace the plunger and add the VG/PG to a 150ml beaker. I have found this method to be easier than trying to pull the VG/PG up into the syringe. This is clear in my mind, I hope it is clear in writing.

I used clear nail polish on mine. I only have 2 1ml right now so I took that precaution.

I googled up HotRods calculator but it's a PC program and we have Mac's. Do you know anything about this one such as is it also adjusted for the weight of PG and VG for it's calculations?

I think some other programs also have it built in, and some let you enter the conversion weight (I think ejuice Me Up) But the basic amounts are:
VG = 1.249 grams per milliliter
PG = 1.036

And you can just figure flavoring the same as PG or just leave it at 1:1, or if you're looking for consistency more than precision, you can just ignore the differences.:D

I think most of us are using this one. I love it. I can put in my recipes & Save as default. The icon is on my desktop, the recipies on my hardrive. I open it, click Get Default & it opens my recipe folder in my Documents folder, pick the recipe & open it. It comes up in the Calculator & I can make any adjust ments to flavors, nic, mls, hit calculate & there it is. It shows as mls or drops. It might have a way to figure by weight, I don't know. No clue about Linux.

Since I am using a beaker for mixing I don't use the needle for VG/PG. I just use the needle on the syringes for flavor and nic.

I think I paid $1.49 for that Medicine syringe. With the stopper thingy. I put in in a 120 ml bottle of 50/50 I made up. Invert the bottle suck up 10 ml real easy. uninvert the bottle remove syringe and shoot into mixture. Takes about 3 -4 seconds for each 10 ml load of PG/VG. I just leave it stuck in the cork like that when not in use.
virtually no syringe cleaning because it is all sealed up and PG/VG is all I use it for.

Tonight is the third build I've put into my Kayfun. This thing is so forgiving! I burnt up the last build by accidentally holding the Fire button down while moving some stuff while rearranging. And, somehow, it was set on 30 watts at the time!

I'm not, however, having such great luck with my back-up charger. It's an Xtar VC2. It worked great for a month of so. But, it's been acting funny recently.

There's one gauge for each battery and another to show how much power is coming into the charger. The power-in gauge is dropping from .5 A down to .1 A and sometimes to 0A. I've made sure everything's plugged in properly. But, I'm thinking there must be a wire loose somewhere inside the chord, or something.

Whatever battery I try to charge never finishes charging. I guess I'll have to go back to using my original Xtar WP2. It still works great. I just wanted a good back-up for the future (and to be able to charge more at once while I'm at it).

The USB cord on that VC2 must be hard wired? I thought they had the mini USB port like most cell phones so you could just change cords. Actually I’ve only seen one Xtar up close and not sure if it was the VC2.
From what I gather they also have two protection circuits, one that protects the input device and one that protects the batteries.
I see the newer ones are ac/dc, and the prices are a lot better these days.

30 watts, poor ole girl didnt stand a chance...:(

Yes, the VC2 is hard-wired. The WP2 is not.

I'm very disappointed. If it had acted like this when I first got it, I could have returned it. But, it worked great for a while.

But, my Kayfun is tootling along (once I rebuilt it, of course).

I got these numbers from another forum and they are what I plugged into my ejuicemeup calc

Weight of PG: 1.038 grams per ml
Weight of VG: 1.26 grams per ml
Weight of Pure Nicotine: 1.01 grams per ml
Weight of 100mg in PG: 1.0352 grams per ml
Weight of 100mg in VG: 1.235 grams per ml
48mg 50VG/50PG based nicotine solution 1.14 grams per ml.
Flavors range of .93g per ml to 1.07g per ml.

I cut my 100nic into 48 since thats what I'm use to using. I find it more forgiving if I accidently put a drop or two extra in.
Waiting for the health food store to get the 50ml brown bottles I ordered to arrive so I can make 10 50ml nic portions so they are just thaw and serve so don't have to keep opening the big (500ml) bottles I have in the freezer since I only need 100mls of my 48nic base around at a time.
I bought a couple LUC 2 bay chargers from a coop on Oct 2013. Now almost 2 years later the original LUC I bought is still charging my batts and have the 2nd one still new in the box in my closet.
So far with the @40 coops I've been involved in I haven't got any disappointing vape gear...gotta love those coops. :)

It's easier for me to do if there is a needle attached for nic & flavors because those bottles are so tiny.
the 1 ml syringes will fit down into the flavoring bottles when ya take the dropper part off, ya just gotta consider displacement with a full bottle of flavor. I have had a few "run over"
Not ready to try it in my current situation, but I could certainly see the benefit of using the weight method since EJUICEMEUP apparently does the calculations for that now

Then again, Lucy was a great actress.
I see her as more of a comedian than an actress. I've seen a few of her films, but just like on tv, it's her comedy that, for me, really makes them good. I have the old Yours, Mine and Ours on dvd and love that one with her, Henry Fonda, and Van Johnson. They're all great and I really love Van Johnson.

you da man Lord Cromwell --- I never seen one of those before -- I might have to try that ----- I have been using 1ml, 5ml, and 10ml syringes with hollow needles on the ends for all fluids that I mix ---- The only problems with that is that I have to purchase those miserable syringes in mass quantities from Amazon ---- the stupid marking on those syringes rubs off easily and then I have to throw them away and get a fresh one out -- I go through quite a few syringes. Plus I have to use one syringe for each ejuice component so that I don't cross contaminate stuff. I probably should be using beakers and just use syringes for my nicotine and flavors, but you know me Cromwell, I do everything the hard way

You can use clear nail polish or a piece of cellophane tape over the markings to extend their life.
