How do you all clean your syringes & needles after mixing with nic?
I have 2 cups one full of hot tapwater one empty. Suck the syringe full of hot tap water and swuirt it into the empty cup. repeat about 4 times. Then work plunger of syringe in and out a few times to blow out any excess water.

I take off the blunt needle and pull the plunger, then run LOTS of hot water through the barrel and plunger. Then put the needle back on, fill the barrel and reinsert the plunger to rinse the needle, a few times. The disassemble and let dry.
No soap or alchohol?

I just fill a cup with water then suck up the water with the syringe and squeeze out. I take off the needles and blow through them to dry the inside. I do the syringe that I use for the nic last so to not contaminate the water then use it on the others.

Lazy slapadoodle. The PG sits in the jar on top of the VG. Insert needle into the PG layer, suck it up and shoot it back out.

I used soap. I couldn't help myself, I had to! Do you all keep separate syringes that never gets used for anything but nic?
Kenna.....I have syringes in multiple sizes.....I use 20 or 30 ml for pg and vg.....10 ml for nic and 1 ml for flavors

I'm with the other minimalists when it comes to syringe cleaning. Pull some tap water through the syringe and squirt it out. For thorough cleaning I might use warm tap water but probably not.

I tend not to use a syringe for mixing these days, ever since I got a 10 ml graduated cylinder (with 0.2 ml markings) to go along with my 50 and 100 ml graduated cylinders. Pouring is so much easier than pulling with a syringe.

I have 30, 10 & a couple of 1's. Need to get some more 1's & some 14g needles. It's easier for me to do if there is a needle attached for nic & flavors because those bottles are so tiny.

I may end up doing that. Syringes are kinda fumbly. I'll find a way to do all this that works with my hands.

Nope. (Although Iffy's procedure deserves some investigation.)

Yup. Although I'm moving more to that 10 ml cylinder Bells mentioned. Lazy is as lazy does :)

I been mixing with syringes since I started but seemed to be cleaning them all the time. I'm now leaning more in scaling by weight and liking the less mess to clean up. I still use the small syringe since some flavors don't have a dripper but generally scaling is much easier just be sure to adjust your calc to the right weights of the PG, VG and nic base. I got a crapload of wire top bottles ranging from 30 to 150ml from the dollar store and mix right into them so only real cleanup is the old bottle.

I got my syringes and needles from my local vet, then blunted the needles myself. They are for animals so the syringes are accurate not like some of the cheap ones from overseas that probably need to be calibrated.

I have the same MO, and I pour a coffee cup full of warm water and rinse with that, occasionally I get a little surprise in my actual COFFEE cup, a little nic, or Caramel Toffee accidentally on purpose! :)

Amazon and ebay are your friends....you can get 100 of them for less than $10......but you will still need to buy the needles

Yep, Amazon is where all my stuff has come from. They have needles, too. And everything else.

the luer lock syringes I got on Amazon are from a vet supply. We all have our favorite methods of mixing and it boils down to whatever works for each of us. I mix a base with my nic, pg and vg in a large quantity in 120 ml bottles. I then add that to 30 or 50 ml dropper bottles, as needed, and add my flavors. As I use highly concentrated flavors, the small amount added won't affect the nic strength enough to matter.

It's pretty likely that those syringes are manufactured outside the US, regardless of where they are purchased.
