Thanks, everyone, for the ideas, I'll be checking them out. I'm still hoping for a tank, not a dripper, since dripping is also an issue for me. I do it to test my DIY flavors using basic 510 atomizers, and it's kind of hard to tell how hard I'm squeezing the bottle. That's one of the reason's I'm a little leery about a Reo, since I can't tell how much pressure I put on anything. That, and I'm lazy.
...
and this is why I'm getting squonkers these days. You squeeze the bottle, and the liquid soaks the wick.. You release and it sucks any extra right back into the bottle.

It's not that I have your difficulty with knowing how hard I'm squeezing, but I'm preparing just in case. I've had arthritis in both hands since I was 16.

Can you swap that out with a bottle & tube for a REO?
Not sure... I don't have a Reo, so don't know the bottle connection. This one has an inset for a nipple bottle though, so if the Reo is like my other squonker, it has a tube that connects up top, and that would not work.

I have to say the this squonk is easier that the wood one, since it's open on two corners.

Not the same issue, unfortunately.
The thing the blue arrow points to is supposed to be a stopper that goes where the red arrow points...
It keeps popping out wile I'm squonking.

Good thread though... I will have to look at it more closely.

Might wrapping it with dental floss, plumber's tape or even using a spot of aquarium glue (not sure about that one but if fish tolerate it, you'd think anything could unless it might react with the juice if any seeped in) work?

Tutu, thanks for posting about Lance Mackey. What an inspiration!

He is and that's only a fragment of what he's been through, let alone what he's put himself through.

:( Too speedy! Username is not appropriate ;)

Not necessarily.

Essentially the same, although the spinner has/had bigger numbers on the dial, and easier to read. I always preferred the Spinners for that reason.

David, thank you! Was thinking of buying a few if it looked like the ax was going to fall. Original Spinners are getting hard to find. Maybe I should pounce on them soon.

I worked with Wayne Curtis...team Stormwatch. He was a friend before he moved to Willow. Lance is/&was always a cool guy. Charlie Boulding was a great guy and the most original sourdough you could ever meet. Martin, joe reddington, Norm Vaughn, really great people! Libby and her the bf the pilot...memories man...,

Pretty sure Libby was there to greet every musher in Nome this year. Not sure how she held up for it. (For the uninitiated, Libby Riddles was the first woman to win the Iditarod. Ran through a storm while the boys hunkered down.) You met some amazing people, Dog. Did you take the photo in your avatar? Astounding photograph, just beautiful.

Don't have any of those, Ken, but...

If the metal tube comes out, maybe put the plug into the cap, and then insert the metal tube to expand and "seal" it in?

I got the S-CA1 in today. Recomendation from someone previously - forgot who.
For $35, not too bad.
First impressions -
Pros:
Fits well in the hand
Easy to I stall battery
OLED screen easy to read
Squonk hole isn't just at the corner, but open on both sides, making it very easy to Squonk.
Bottle is nice and soft, also making it easy to use.
Good flavor and vapor
Cons:
This thing weigs as much as my Selinus. It's heavy. Like you could do some curls in the morning heavy.
The feed tube is metal, and fits into a plastic plug to the bottle nipple, and it's come out 7 times so far. I had to wash my hands to type this.
The start button is small. I have to use a finger/thumb joint to press it
The included RBA screws did not clamp onto my lead wires, so I had to stretch them up and wrap them around the screws.
I have been using it while typing this, and the feed tube popped out again, so I'm stopping here so I can get my hands all messy putting the plug back in.

I suppose for he price, it's great! But I think I need a solution for that feed tube.

Thanks for the review. I've been keeping a tab open to this item at Angel Cigs for the last week. It doesn't sound too promising after all.

Keep us posted how things turn out.

well... it's been a while now.. that is what I did after my review... came out twice, but now is ok... will see what happens when I go to refill :)
I think taping a hard piece of plastic will save my poor knuckle on that button. It just needs to be a bit bigger.

Now I'm thinking maybe a tiny Oring in those threads on that plug. Like the size of the one on a Kayfun chimney.

Kenna, you win the prize for the best solution! At least out of all of them that's the one I'd want to try first.

Got an email from ECF today to take their annual survey, for real this time. You have a chance to win a $500 gift certificate or one of the two $250 dollar ones. Would have done it for free of course. Now that I've taken it it won't let me back in to post the link. :glare: If you took it last year, check your email, it should be in there if you gave them your email addy. Quick and easy unless you are trying to them you DIY.

Where is everybody? :tumble:

The ECF survey didn't much allow for mixing your own liquid. I assumed that making my own out of ingredients on had counted as "black market or gray market" if flavored liquids were made illegal. Of course I kind of assumed the same for having a planned stash of hardware. ;)

Jup same here. some of em ya gotta figure out what they want and go from there. I did the same with the one about if you could only get closed non refillable systems what would you do. Black market worked. There wasn't an option for "I already don't trust you and setting myself up so you can't take away my vaping or make me vape the crap you want me to vape" lol
