You know what I did get a good pointer from Busardo that I'd never seen before. You know how a lot of time you put a new coil in and it doesn't heat consistently from the inside out. What he showed was in the review of the rose. You install the coil assuming you have a good coil that has been wrapped on a coil master or some such you just heat it up in the device let off the button then scrape the flathead part of the screwdriiver that comes with most device accross the coil one way then the other and voila you have a perfectly heating coil. Amazing. I've never seen that done and it worked perfectly

Yes I noticed a guy called Trevor Jones do it when I was watching his video on the Goblin. He was the first I saw do it so therefore to me he came up with it.
PapaSloth however explained what it does , I think the wire when heated gets an oxidation build up and scraping it breaks that layer.

And VAPEMAIL got here! Picked it up from the mail lady, washed my hair, went to lunch, got a haircut.

It’s mostly DIY from MBV

For flavors, I got:
Strawberry Lemonade
Black Licorice
A tropical blend (Maui Sunrise)
A sweet and tart citrus with hints of mint (Solar Flare)

For flavorings, I got:
Black Cherry
Maraschino Cherry
Wild Cherry
Bubblegum
Zebra Stripe bubblegum
Extreme Ice
Spearmint
Wintergreen
Peach
Pineapple Peach
Strawberry

Now.. I have to find some good mixes to use with the new flavorings... I'm not much into bakery or creamy liquids and that seems to be what most people are going for ever since the diacetyl scare wore off.

Who was it that was widening the channels on a KF with a Dremel & a diamond bit? Was it Sloth? I need to do that. Have one that the channels just barely show when I put the chamber for the chimney on the base & look into it. I think my other one shows a little more. I'll have to compare them when I get them both apart at the same time again.

Yes, I did that. But, I used a small drill press rather than a Dremel. That way, the bit was stationary, and I just pressed the channel up against the bit to deepen it. If I tried to hold a Dremel steady, it probably would have jumped all over the place. Your mileage may vary, I've never had great luck with Dremels.

Just take it a little at a time, and try it out until you get it where you want it. Don't forget to deepen both legs of the L and also where they connect. Given how deep the channels are on the Orchids and Goblins, you're probably safe taking off more than you think.

Um, imo, for that price it ought to coil and wick itself. On demand and to user specs! Can't see it being $150 better than an EhPro KF2...

I think it was Sloth. And one of these in a Dremel, laid into the slot to open it up will work well

Thanks David, that's what I was looking for! I have to rewick it tomorrow, so I'm going to look at the holes then. But it may be the pin & airholes aren't lined up right. AllPepper told me about checking that today & I'll look at that, too. I think that might be the problem.

My vote is with Sloth too. He was talking to someone about how to do it. Matt or Mike perhaps?

Yep, it was waaaay back when I first moved in on the Porches & still knew little to nothing about vaping. I was still convinced I'd never need to learn to build coils. Little did I know!

Paging Semiretired! You travel to the Philippines a lot if I remember correctly. Perhaps you can help this fellow out here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...carry-juice-everything-else-checked-bags.html Seeing as my memory is so wonderful, I apologize up front if it's not the Philippines you go to.

Yep, you are right - Philippines is where I go each year. Good answers had already been given, but I added a little about sending a box for bulk that he should be able to use that will help to hold him for his long stay...

the part to remove hot legs that Legs was talkin about starts at 23:17
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XLIHmm5p2Y

howdy y'all

strange, It works for me... but you deserve full credit, and here it is !!
:D

....

knew whatchya meant

Ok....learned a trick from a video to eliminate hot legs. They put a tool inside the coil slightly smaller than the coil. They used one of those shorty needles, I used the lil red screwdriver I had. Once the coil is tightened down good. insert the tool, and rub the tool back and forth against the part of the coil that is near you, while slightly pulling it toward you. Here is a video. He can be facetious at times, but he's a really nice guy. I think I started it where this starts, but if not, the part I mean starts at about 22:46

I hear ya if all it works on is nickel I'm out, not interested. I tried a nickel coil on my Tugboat and it worked. I should have left it on now that I think of it and put it in Stealth Mode so I don't see the TP all the time. It put out lots of vapor but hit TP every hit. I am starting to think that isn't a bad thing it is just annoying. It really puffed the vapor tho for a single coil dripper even with hitting TP I never got a burnt taste. I was running it at 410 so as not to burn the cotton and maybe it was just doing it's job. It was easy to wrap a 12 wrap coil at 2.5mm came out at .13ohms which is perfect with 28awg NI200. Maybe I will do it again and put it in Stealth Mode and see how it does.

Mind you I know nothing about this.......but if it's hittin TP all every draw, (assuming that means temperature protection or something like that) shouldn't ya back it down a bit??

With all the issues you've been having with nickel, I think I'll just stay with kanthal. It does what I tell it. Reliably...

jup! Someone asked me the other day if I'd ever used nickel.......I said, newp and aint fixin to neither!! they asked why. without saying names, I referred to all the issues legs has had!! lol that's done it for me. lol

I'm still in that phase. I like my egos, I'll never get one of those humongous mods. Mom to three of them now. Doing DIY sounds scary to me, hey look, I just made another 120ml of juice. :D And the list goes on, lol.

Thank you for posting! I knew you'd have some words of wisdom. Now all he has to do is go read them.

Game's been changed so many times I forget what we're playing!

I have an official scorecard and I still can't keep up.

Bravo! All I could think of was toilet paper. Kind of up there with GAS and PENIS if you have no clue what it stands for.

Made 120ml of vanilla cupcake juice today only to find out the 120ml bottles are actually 114ml. What a ripoff.
