Question(s) for all you Reonaut's. I've seen two in the classifieds that had bullet bases for button covers. Do the covers have a screw that holds them? or are they pressed or glued? I used to make hat pins outta cut off cases and wondered if I could make a button cover.

What is going on in the Forums these days???? I've just read another relatively "terse" series of discussions in one of my favorite threads. It's like everyone has their panties in a wad.

When I first hopped on the ECF train over a year ago, the "factions" were the Provarinati, the Reonauts, and the Innokin Nation. But, almost EVERYONE was incredibly helpful (at least in the primary threads I would read.)

Now, it's "My mod is bigger than your mod, i.e. your choice of mod is stupid, and I am superior" and "I wanna blow huuuuuge clouds with an 18350 battery - is that safe? Oh and no, I don't know what an ohmmeter does, so I am gonna wrap three twists of a paperclip around my finger - that should work, right?"

Wow, I'm very sad.

State governments are going to start classifying that kind of setup as a bomb. A real invitation for regulation.

Before TC and high power regulated mods, much of that was only in the mech threads. Now that the tech has evolved more, and it's easy for neophytes to blow huge clouds... (hopefully from the topper and NOT that 18350!!)

And, as vaping gains market share, there will be more and more into it for sport rather than just to stop smoking.

Great. Just Great....

I won't disagree that we need a little more chlorine in the gene pool. I came to the forums to LEARN. I came to find ways to quit smoking that might actually work. Yes, there's a "novelty" to vaping, and a lot of people have come for the show, but for heaven's sake, why can't we keep it simple. I'll vape the way *I* want to vape, and you can vape the way *you* want to vape. Neither of us is right; neither of us is wrong. Just like, I'm brown-haired (with enough grey these days), blue-eyed, and you're a red-head with green eyes.

I have enough other chaos in my life that I don't want to come to the one outlet I have for my sanity and find that it's a cesspool of snippy-ness and condescension. {sigh}

Guess nothing is safe anymore

Yeah. The makers of vaping equipment and the reviewers seem to all be going towards sub ohm and clouds and ignoring the masses of people that will be converting to vaping from smoking. Most older smokers that convert to vaping are not interested in a big 200 watt box mod and clouds...
I keep seeing and hearing reviewers and such going on about if the FDA has it's way all we will have is cigalikes. Well those silly cigalikes got more people off of cigs than big mods ever did and I feel they and the EGO setups will continue to be the ones that work the best to get smokers off of cigs.

Agree, Robert. I started with ego types and 510 autos, and while the 501 autos don't see much use these days, my raft of ego styles (all at least VV!) still see regular use alongside my tube and box mods. Heck, a 1300 Spinner type and PT2 (or Davide :) Gotta love that name! :hubba:) still give me a good vape and a perfect size "backup" to other gear when out and about. And they're about as close as can be to fill and go. Of course, I do rebuild all their heads, but that's me, and it's not necessary.

Tootle-puffer and mod-whomper here, so I guess we need another thread for tootle-whomper??

I just finished getting some of my less used tanks cleaned and possibly ready for adoption. Straightened up my DIY supplies and put some of them up high in my BR closet. Grandkids are coming to visit so I don't want anything out where curious hands can grab them. While there I also made another 100ml of my daily vape. The Temp Control devices really go through the juice. My back is killing me so time for another pain pill and sit down for a while. My energy burst is finished. LOL

that was hilarious! But it is very sad that it's all too true. This is why many of us don't venture too far from the porches. You're safe here

Made some juice.
Put some blueberry and kiwi together and some peach and cheesecake.
Yummmm

Sorry I haven't checked in much been messing with learning about Ti. Can't wait to give it a try. YiHi came out with a firmware upgrade for it but they don't have it dialed in yet, from what I hear you have to set about 100 degrees high or just stay in nickel mode and set 100 low but the coils are supposed to last as well as kanthal.

Thanks Deb :) I try to help people out here as best I can. I don't know a lot, but I know things that I *SHOULDN'T* do (like wind a paperclip....)

I guess I've just hit a "frustration wall".....
