On the one I have the feed hole and hole the wire comes out are in line with the rod.
I get the wire to have a slight curve away from me and feed it in then the wire goes away from the rod Im wrapping it around.
Then Put on the turning bit and turn it away from myself and the screw goes around then touches the wire then continue turning and it wraps.
If I was to feed the wire in with a slight curve towards me and the wire was in front of the rod then I would put on the turning bit and turn towards myself the screw goes round and touches the wire then I continue to turn.
Wire thread through hits the rod I just use a curve to have the wire going away from the rod because feels more natural to turn the handle away from myself.

I was wrong in my statements about clockwise-coiled coils and the side of the screws to which the legs attach. Repeat: I was wrong. Not likely to be the last time, either.

My sincere thanks for the patience y'all showed in helping me clear the dead wood from my thick head, and my apologies for inadvertently conducting a wild goose chase.

A major contributor to my confusion was my misreading of my own photograph of a coil head with a coil installed.

All was not in vain:
1. The conversation has led me to experiment with flipping an existing coil so that the legs are on top, bringing the coil closer to the air hole. See picture below, showing that when the clockwise-wound coil is installed with the legs on the TOP side of the coil, the legs attach to the RIGHT side of the attachment screws, as ALL of you have been saying and as I now realize myself. I think but am not sure yet that it vapes better than when the coil was further from the air hole. It may be too close now.. getting some burnt taste.
2. I discovered that my Panasonic camera is better for close-up pictures than my newly acquired Canon pocket camera.
3. Discovering the nature of my mistake gives me a feeling of great accomplishment. Without the judicious and measured use of 2 x 4 correctional teaching aids by several of you, I would have lacked the motivation to reach this very rewarding pinnacle of achievement. :)

*Why not? Coiling rebar?
** What diff does dat make?

May I assume <yeah, I went dere> dat da handle and top can be rotated both clockwise AND counterclockwise; either/or in combination?

Leg orientation/post configuration/coil position I can understand; dat includes right side up/up side down and left/right screw capture.

I do believe...

Regardless, carry on... meanwhile, I'll just ponder my belly button lint as possible wick material...

Rebar! (Dyin' here!)
Tthe wire is held in the handle through holes in the handle at an angle. So if you are holding the handle in your left hand the wire comes out of the handle at an angle that the coiler top spins the the wire away from you (clockwise). You CAN spin the top counterclockwise but it will leave a big kink in the wire where it comes out of the handle & make it really hard to get the coil off the mandrel & pull the wire out of the hole. That end of the wire will be really wonky.

Hard to tell with that angle on the pic, but it does look a bit low...

And watch your clearance on the positive leg. With it slightly wrapped that way, the chimney will be getting pretty close... not much room in there. Neg post doesn't matter, of course.

(And I just can't resist, even though I know you know.... it will taste less burnt if you put a wick in it  :vapor:)

Well they either used the wrong batteries, or pampered her too much, cuz Dancin is back in the hospital. Her heart rate is more than double what it should be, hangin out round 150-ish. So more prayers are needed that they'll find the button to turn her down a bit. That scared the crap out of her, but other than that she sounded wonderful! Seems to be healing really well from the surgery part of it and feistier than I've ever heard her! lol So keep her in your prayers, we're not quite done yet! Will keep y'all posted. Loves to all

Nope - like Bells said, the angle of the 'feed' hole is such that winding clockwise is the natural way to use it. Going counter-clockwise can be done - but it's fiddley.
Ok, that splains why the coil master V3 put the second wire hole in the cap, to make coiling toward you better.

I might be alittle Late in my response, But, the V3 will also let you wind Right Hand And Left Hand coils, plus the shanks are a lot longer (easier for setting your coils in your coil base). There's other changes also, I know as I've got a Red one. You'll like it, I'm sure.
Jup got mine yesterday, so glad I got the blue one. Won it, just had to pay shipping, but didn't get a choice of colors. May be using it later today, but hopin my son will grab me a great headlamp thing he got from Lowe's so I can see better.

hehehe As to the cadence, was looking on YT for a John Lithgow thing he did something about a bottle battle, can't recall exactly, but it was funny. No could find though, hope y'all have heard it. Used to have it as an mp3 on another computer that I played in chat rooms

for the subtank mini I would have it so the bottom of the coil was sort of inline with the tops of the screws.
Coil legs were on the bottom and would basically be going straight and then secured with the screws.
It seamed a good distance from the air hole.

Oh my goodness ... the poor folks in Arkansas ... are we next?

Online Retail Sales Prohibited in Arkansas Effective Today
Arkansas ACT 1235 (SB978)

Arkansas ACT 1235 (SB978) is officially in full effect as of today, July 21, 2015. The bill classifies vapor products as tobacco products thereby inherently prohibits any online retail or direct online B2C sales of any "vapor product, alternative nicotine product or e-liquid product" to occur within the Arkansas state line. In addition to disallowing online retail sales relating to any vaping product, all brick & mortar retail locations within Arkansas must now obtain licenses in order to sell vaping products within the state.
