Those should work fine, Dinger. The Evod and PT heads are interchangeable.

Although at $9 for 5 sets, it might be cheaper to just get "authentic" heads from, say, FT...

Yours is a good deal, FT is slightly better. FT’s are Kanger and if you click on the 5+ quantity, they cost $3.14 for a five coil box (X 5) with no shipping cost. Just don’t expect them to arrive this week.

The ones Clonecores shows have rubber bottom insulators. Could be, and likely is, an old picture. If you’ve ever had the misfortune to inhale vape when the rubber grommet burns, well, you’ll avoid those like the plague. They only have 2.4s?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to know about Clone Cores. Have you ordered from them?

ETA – Now that I wrote all that, it looks like the silicone insulators are NOT the same as the rubber PT insulators. If the silicone ones are the same as I bought before, they’re nearly impossible to install on a PT coil. They’re a tad too big and made for something else.

they do say that the silicone ones are a "tad" shorter than the rubber ones and do not specifically state that they are for Protanks and such...

I got some of those, the silicone ones that aren't specifically for PTs, from LV and you have to have the patience of a saint to get them into place. I am no saint and never could get them to work. Others had the same problem and a few of them are saints. You will be a much happier person if you avoid those.

I, too, tried some of the silicon ones and don't like them. Went back to the rubber insulators.

A few of my coils have silicone insulators in them and they work well.

The ones that came with silicon seem ok, it's when they need to be replaced that the struggle can begin.

I didn't have such great luck with my Kayfun today. It was the third try before I got it to work. And, even then, it gurgled badly. But, it's finally working well.

Are you getting juice down the airflow under the coil when you are setting up the wick? Juice in that airhole is the only thing that will cause it to gurrgle. Just have to figure out how it's getting in there.

Might be the coil is set a bit too low. That can cause gurgles and leaks.

I think I had the tank on ever so slightly crooked or something. All I know is that I pulled off the tank and the top of the chimney, poked the wicking down a little around the edges, and re-attached everything (making extra sure it was on straight) and it's working fine now.

Yes, not having the wick touching bottom can also do that.

I always test for vacuum after a build. Fully assembled, cover the air intakes and take a slight draw. Should be pretty air tight. While that won't rule out too short a wick, it will verify that all the rest is good.

Does anyone have any ideas on why I am having so much trouble with my mini PT2's? I put in a new or rebuilt coil, and it won't screw into the tank. I play with it, try other coils. The base will screw in without a coil, just not with one! It will if I don't have the insulator on the chimney (found out by being absent-minded). Getting pretty frustrated....Thanks!

I've come across some 3rd party coils that have a much longer positive pin at the bottom, so extend to far to allow putting the topper on. Maybe compare that with one that works?

Posted this on the Back Porch, but it's more of a Front Porch post.....

I have been using the iStick 40's (with full sized Nauti's) for work and the IPV D2's (with full sized SubTank) for home. Roughly the same height but the D2 is a bit wider and heavier. I likely will never use the TC, only got the 40's for the size and length of charge, and the D2's for the size and replaceable battery. Both work very well and serve my purpose. For now, my Provari's have been benched.
