I've come across some 3rd party coils that have a much longer positive pin at the bottom, so extend to far to allow putting the topper on. Maybe compare that with one that works?
Thanks, David. These are Kanger coils, new and rebuilt. I thought at first that the base threads were going bad, so ordered new ones - not the bases. I made sure that the chimneys are all the way on and straight. I made sure that the insulators are all the way on. I will take a look at the pins!

Does anyone have any ideas on why I am having so much trouble with my mini PT2's? I put in a new or rebuilt coil, and it won't screw into the tank. I play with it, try other coils. The base will screw in without a coil, just not with one! It will if I don't have the insulator on the chimney (found out by being absent-minded). Getting pretty frustrated....Thanks!
I have a kanger mini pro tank 2, when I screw it into the istick 30 it compresses the spring in the 510. Actually have to push down a little to get it to start into the threads.

I just realized that this month makes one year that I have been vaping......for all the good it has done me. I still can't seem to put down the cigarettes for good. I'm truly not happy with myself right now. Something has to give. I have come a long way, but lately I'm just having a rough time of it. I almost didn't post this since I have nothing to brag about by vaping for a year and still not putting down the cigarettes completely. Maybe somebody just needs to lock me in a rubber room for 72 hours or so and let me rant.

I see you still haven't hit that magic flavor yet!

It's not the ones you smoke, but the ones you DON'T that count!
I was lucky. I stopped immediately. That is VERY rare. There are some porchers on here that smoked for up to 3 years after starting to Vape.
My key seems to be that I never have less than 4 flavors available all day long. I get tired of one and vape another one.
also, keep some kind of mint handy that is 2x stronger than your normal vape and hit that when the smoking craving hits.

Disallowed, you know the black base on the bottom of the mini? That won't screw onto the tank if I have a coil in it. I will check the pins (after DWTS).
I know the dual coils wont fit in mine, please excuse the lousy pic,
kangermini.jpeg

The one on the left fits my mini 2, the one on the right doesn’t. Ive also had the chimney of the proper atomizer not fit on occasion, so evidently there are some of these in circulation with a larger OD chimney.
I would do this,
Remove the top and the glass tank, then assemble the bottom and see if the chimney of the coil head even fits into the stem.
I was bummed when I found out the dual coil atomizers wouldn’t fit, but that little bugger sure seems to put out good flavor just the way it is, I just bought a Kanger bundle in the classifieds mainly because there was two of these little gems in there, lol. Please let me know what you find out.

As Ken said, it's the ones you DON'T smoke. There's no rule that says you have to quit smoking or how long you can continue to smoke before you quit. It's totally individual.

Congratulations on the one year vaping! Relax and enjoy!

Since it's virtual, this can be your rubber room :)

So, dual user for a year. That means, what? You're doing less harm than before. I imagine it has done some good, while admitting that exclusively vaping would be better. No argument there.

But for most of us, it's about harm REDUCTION. And you're doing that.

And besides, if you weren't on the path, you would have found us!

Well, I read about a study (somewhere in this forum) that showed, the damage from cigarettes is cumulative, so even cutting down is probably a good deal.
I agree with garyoa1, at least for myself and the majority of vapers I have met, its just a matter of finding a flavor/'s you enjoy!

Posted this on the Back Porch, but it's more of a Front Porch post.....

I have been using the iStick 40's (with full sized Nauti's) for work and the IPV D2's (with full sized SubTank) for home. Roughly the same height but the D2 is a bit wider and heavier. I likely will never use the TC, only got the 40's for the size and length of charge, and the D2's for the size and replaceable battery. Both work very well and serve my purpose. For now, my Provari's have been benched:shock:.

My Provari's aren't quite benched ... but the iSticks do get a lot of use. Just so convenient to grap and go and only have to charge them every couple-few days. What's been benched is my collection of mech mods. I got so used to the in-built batt box mods w/ a batt gauge I actually took the Provari's out of moth balls and I'm using them again.

But you haven't totally gone back to smokes ... so that's a win. And yepper, like David said, rant here. We're here for you ... don't be embarrassed about still smoking ... talk it out with us ... no one here is going to judge you ... just try to help you.

The one on the right is a dual coil base. Note the tall wick slot.

Yes, they are also fairly easy to rebuild, but unfortunately wont fit my pro mini tank 2 and 3, but the one on the left will.

Roto, just hang in there! I'm thinking WTA's or raising your nic level. And of course that flavor thing. Like Ken, I stopped immediately, & have always been able to vape thru the niggling occasional craving. +44 years of a PAD. You can do this. Just have to figure out what the trick is for you.

You are doing so good! Don't be so hard on yourself, there is no time line that you have to follow. The journey is so individual, it is your timing and needs. As everyone is saying, you are working on it, and one year is wonderful! Congrats on staying with it! You will get there when it is right for you.
