I do too - was just checking that out a little bit more. I'm pretty much all thumbs when trying to put tiny things together, but I think my hubby could handle rebuilding one for me with little trouble. I might try these, as the one I got was pretty enjoyable until it started getting that funny taste about the 3rd day.

I would really advise staying with the regular CE4 until the new V2 CE5 comes out with screw in replacements. The current one has a ground wire which connects to a little metal clip at the bottom. I filled one once, then attempted to clean it..and the delicate little wire broke. I suppose it could have been soldered back...but I don't have a soldering iron anymore. I did have a replacement innards...so attempted to rebuild it. After 30 minutes....I finally got it all together, but it wouldn't work. Didn't work at all on a KGO, and the ProVari throws an error code on it...so it obviously wasn't assembled correctly. It has a little semicircle clip on the bottom which has to be squeezed and pinched into the base. Then the top is supposed to "slide on" the metal tube in the middle (yeah, right). I had to disassemble the whole thing and then put it back together, and it still wouldn't work. At that point....I got pretty annoyed and threw it in the trash.

I am actually pretty decent at hardware stuff (can build you a computer, or help you figure out parts for your Harley)....but this thing pretty much sucked. I have 3 more of them....but will use them till they die, and then save the outer parts and hope they work with the new ones when they come out. (Tried to convince myself to dig through the trash and get the one I tossed....but just couldn't do it...lol).

Hi, Kat! I have always used Boge cartos. Since we all taste different things, I'll give you my opinion. I love them, and I don't detect any weird flavor. I test all of my juice on an io6 atty, and I don't detect any difference in my tanks with a Boge carto. Just my .02. :)

I haven't tried many different things along the way. I have simply upgraded to a tank setup, and focus now on my mods. Forunately, I found what I liked in a Boge carto, and I'm not looking any further at all the new fangled stuff.

Quick question about the Boge cartomizers. Do they have a "poly fill" taste at all? I'm deciding what I want to order for June. I had one pack of the Joye cartomizers but no syringe so I had to use the condom method and fill them from the bottom, but overall they haven't been bad. Since I'm having issues with my atomizers, I think June will be carto month for me, and trying to decide which of these 2 types I want to go with as my mainstay for June.

Thanks all - you're all wonderfully helpful! :)

Thanks for sharing that experience - sorry you lost one so quickly. I think I'll take your advise and wait on the newer one.

Thanks jewels! I think I will go ahead and try the boge cartos. I'm waiting til midnight to order since the coupon code I have apparently doesn't work til then.

Whoops had a question about this and forgot to ask. You use tank AND cartos at the same time? I'm lost on this subject I think. Someone else mentioned something similar as well.

This is a 3.5 ml tank mounted over a 510 1.7 ohm prepunched mega cartomizer. It's mounted to a Gripper, a $20 mod that uses replaceable (18350) batteries.

I want to clarify something. In the second photo, the cartomizer is not punched and it screws into the mod at the bottom of the enclosure. In the first photo, an extension is screwed into the mod and the punched cartomizer that is inside the tank screws to the extension.

I tried carto tanks for awhile but I never really got comfortable refilling them and usually ended up spilling more juice than I got in. lol I also had leaking issues with the type I was using. The new ce type tanks like the vivi nova are much easier for me to fill and they don't leak at all. The taste of the juice in filler cartos didn't bother me but I prefer the ce clearos because I know how much juice I have in them. Everyone just has to work out for themselves which works best for them. We are all different especially when taste gets in the mix.

You put a carto INSIDE a tank? Boge carto's in traditional tanks

Eeeks I have more to learn than I thought. Thanks for taking the time to give info Mike

Yes, Jewels and I do the same setup. We get inexpensive DCT Tanks and cut them down to fit a standard size Boge Carto. The Smoketeck DCT (Dual Coil Tank) are longer to fit the dual coil cartos. I don't like dual coil carto's, I don't get better vape or taste, just seem to use the juice faster.

The one on the left is the full size DCT tank. On the right cut to Boge carto size

Some of them are over 50. Age doesn't matter.

Welcome 'the piercefamily2001'. Ouch, I'm way past the 1/2 century mark. Sure hope age doesn't matter.

, but whe I inhaled I just pulled in to the top of my lungs and after a few draws the empty feeling was 2/3 full.

You got way more muscle control of your lungs than I ever had. Mine are like a computer circuit on/off errr, in/out.

Nice selection for a dripping atty. The io6 is my fav. I do 80% of my vaping with an io6. The rest with a 3.0Ω Boge in a tank. Janet like's the io6 also. She uses them on her eGo's

Mike, what are ya using now?

Iffy - remember that picture of the antique table top drill press with a matching antique hand drill mounted, I posted. That's actually what i use to make holes in my carto's. I didn't like any 'punch' method as it dented the carto and I like to get my holes down as low as I can. I drill an 1/16 inch hole so it's just above the bottom seal of the tank.

    It is diaphragm control.
Yes been telling stories for about 40 years and my sister is a Voice coach . she helped me with the breath and diaphragm control so I could do a better job telling stories without messing up my vocal chords when I add funny voices. and keeping my voice more even

Well hopefully by the end of the week or first of next week Ill have a new 1300 battery and a clearomiser from SI and maybe I wont' need to change batteries as much when I am home alone.

That is when I vape the most.

Been a bit since I landed in this thread. It will be 6 weeks smoke free tomorrow and I'm doing well. I've become very fond of the 14650 Epower, in fact I ordered another complete kit from CCV as you just never know. The Epower with Resurrector cartos is just right for me and it has quieted my urge to try out tanks and such. Rather that throwing money on "experiments" I now buy spare batteries and cartos for the equipment that I know works for me. With what's arriving this week, I think I'll feel comfortable hardware wise and I'll have at least 2 backups for all of the important things.

I read a ton of threads here about folks going back to analogs because they ran out of something or their hardware failed - won't happen to me if I can help it. I spend a lot of time reading the new member forum and providing insight on what I've learned so far in my journey. Yes, I have wasted $$$ on stuff that didn't pan out but it's just part of the learning process. Lately, I've been an advocate of the Epower 14650 kit from CCV as I think it's a great value and a solid performer. My Lavatube clone (VTube from Apollo) also performs well but I find I leave it set at 3.7 volts 99% of the time so I think VV for me isn't that important.

Life is certainly better without cigarettes and I see the large amount of $$$ I've spent as an investment in a better lifestyle for me and my kids. They (son & daughter) are now using PVs so life is good...

NGIB - do you have a pic of the e-power next to your joye? I would like to see a size comparison...

    Hello all,
Thinking of getting a Provari on the 31st,just wondering what current owners like/dislike about it. Does it feel solid, dependable?

I have the V2 and I really like it. I had a Lava Tube, which worked ok, but felt kind of "cheesy" in comparison. Not saying anything bad about the LT....just a totally different feel. The buttons are a little easier, but I find the button menu on the ProVari super easy to use....took about 20 seconds to learn. It does feel really solid. I read one thread where a guy dropped his off a roller coaster.....found it, and it still worked perfectly. I'm fighting with myself not to order a mini this week....the combination of the two seems like a pretty optimal situation.

    Hey TX,

I just saw a thread from GV saying they are pretty sure the screw-in heads from the Vivi Nova are going to be the same ones as the new Stardust coming out.....and possibly the same for a couple more new products coming.

Thanks, yes I hear the lava tube is good for the money. But like tools,I'd rather spend a little more for that solid well crafted feel. And hopefully longevity. I've noticed different juices taste different at different ohm cartos or clearos. So instead of changing them,I can buy the same and just change the voltage.
