I am hoping to get a ZMax this weekend hopefully they will be on sale for black friday somewhere. After doing the research it looks like it is between this and the rider robust(vamo,...)whatever it is called. I like the looks of the ZMax in gun metal so that is what i am leaning more towards. The acrylimax from madvapes caught my eye also but i dont know if they have the v2 like the ZMax with the 8th menu and i want that. Anyone have any thoughts? Would love a Provari but funding is short have about $125 for the device batteries. The Chrome Zmax Kit (rev. 2) | Nashville Vapor this is one option as it has everything i need and it is right at what i want to spend.

I'm in the market for a new VV. Can I get opinions on Mini Provari vs VMax?????????Please

The Vmax is 4.6 inches long, Provari-mini 3.5 inches long
The Vmax weighs 4.2 oz, the Provari 3.8 oz
The Vmax uses 2 18350's, Provari mini uses 1 18350 (or w/ extension cap 1 18490)
The Vmax costs a bunch less than the Provari
The Provari comes in Purple, the VMAZ doesn't
I don't particularly like needing 2 batts to run a PV.
Both will vape the same IMO

I surely like my Provari's and I don't have a V/Z-Max so I can't personally compare them. If I wanted a really nice PV (and could handle the cost) I'd go Provari. If I wanted an everyday VV PV that I didn't have to worry about getting banged up - the Vmax. But before getting a Vmax I'd have to read up more on using stacked batts in a VV PV. I only remember all the warnings when I started vapin' about stacked batts in mechanical PV's.

I wouldn't get a ZMax if it isn't a V2 w/ the 8th menu option. The voltage setting is not accurate on V1's, what you vape at is higher then the setting, unless you can use the RMS setting on Menu 8.

Fran - you should do some searching and see if the Vmax has the same issue as the V1 Zmax. A lot of people complained about the V1 Zmaxs hitting a lot harder than the voltage setting. That's what prompted the V2 with a new menu option to correct that issue.

I agree mike that is why i am kinda leary of the acryilmax from madvapes. Its internals are the same as the ZMax so i would think that it would have the same issues. Course madvapes has nothing on its site about the issue. I like the looks and it is cheaper but "you get what you pay for" comes in at that point. The reason i am looking at the kit from nasvillevapor is that i can call the owner and go meet up with him and have it the same day. Its only bout a 45 min drive to where he is and i dont mind that.

Fran, I just thought of another 'thing' you might want to research. I know that the Zmax resets it's settings to default when you change the batts. So if you have it set for 4.5V and change batts, it resets to 3.0V. I find that annoying w/ the Gripper and LT's I have. I don't know if the Vmax does the same thing.

I'm not over 55 but i have been smoking for 18 years and was around 1.5-2 packs per day. Already dianosed with Chronic Bronchitis and smoking-induced asthma. Love that you were open to vaping. Now I am trying to talk my Grandma into switching to vaping. I hope she is going to switch as she has already suffered terribly as a result of smoking. For me it was vape or die. I was never going to be able to stay off cigs for any length of time... managed to quit only while pregnant, and shamefully, smoked while nursing my kids. I kept it to a minimum, but I did that!

    I actually meant ZMax.................

Well then that's a game changer. Unless you want a PV w/ VV & VW - I'd go Provari. Yes the P will still cost more than the Z but the price gap isn't as severe (comparing base models for each). The Z has a much more tedious menu system to use than the P. The Z looses it's setting w/ batt switch. The P is made in the USA, the Z isn't. And need I remind you the P comes in PURPLE.

Hi chloe, Not nice to hear about you CB and asthma, but it is good to hear that vapin' has replaced the stinkies for you. There's no age requirement to hangin' in this thread, so do drop in as often as you like. Good luck with getting grandma started w/ e-cigs. If there's any thing we can help w/ just ask.

I don't have a VMax but I do have the new ZMax which is the new version of the VMax and I really like it. It uses variable wattage or variable voltage. I never use the vv setting though and just leave it in the vw setting. The Provari and ZMax both have a menu system you have to scroll thru to change settings. I prefer the vv devices with three seperate buttons myself if I am just using vv because it is much simpler to adjust the voltage. I never have to change the ZMax setting once I found what wattage I liked. It doesn't matter what the resistance of your carto is it sets the correct voltage automatically.
The VMax is about the same size as the Provari 18650 so the Provari mini is smaller but doesn't hold a charge as long as the 18650's. The length and weight are definately things to consider. I wish the ZMax had a mini. There is a new PV coming out called the VAMO that is a VV/VW device that you can use as a mini with a single 18350 or use a longer battery holder to use the 18650 battery. I don't know how good they work being as I don't know anyone that has one yet. I have one coming from a Co-op but it won't be here for a couple of weeks.

If you have the zmax set for watts instead of volts, it will retain your setting when you change the battery. Don't know why they didn't program it the same for volt settings. I only use it in vw mode.

Chloe, welcome to da thread! If we can help in v-verting your GM, we'll be glad to assist if we can...

"IFFYBERRY" I sent some samples of my diy juices to a friend I included some of Iffy's pear blueberry, named if iffyberry and now have a request for more of the famous IFFYBERRY.

LMAO... was just imagining asking someone if they would like to try Iffyberry!

Your Iffyberry is my Janet's Heaven since it was her comment that prompted me to mix it.

And yes, it's my most requested mix among my v-verts. Thanx again, Janet!

Hi Chloe. Age really doesn't matter here. Congratulations on your 8 days so far. Hopefully, now your health problem will start reversing themselves and also that you can help your grandmother. Sometimes it just takes a little bit longer for us older folks to get our minds around new fangled stuff. I had been hearing about them for about a year before I bought my first one. At least she has you to help her and that is a big plus. Good luck....

The ZMax actually doesn't lose your setting if you are using the Power or wattage mode. I leave mine in that mode all the time and never have to reset it after changing battery. There is a clone ZMax out now too made by Segelei that has a better display than the Smok ZMax and there is a Co-op going for them now for about 60.00. It appears to be identical to the Smok ZMax. I paid 80.00 for my ZMax in a Co-op.

Man I'm a slow typer everytime I make a comment some one has already answered. lol

Well I did it. I winced a little when I hit the "Place Order" button but it's done now. One purple mini Provari for me.

Oh what fun !!!!!!! I really don't ever see one in my future. I'm afraid hubby would draw the line on me before I hit the button but I am thrilled for you.:banana::banana:
