I hear you on that Semi. I do try to help and I keep my suggestions to what I know about. I've suggested more than once that they take a look at how long the one making suggestions has been a member here. Of course that kind of eliminates them listening to me  Bet the one making the remarks about batteries was a noob himself.

I have five VVs and I set 'em to 3.7-4.1V for my daily rotation jooses. An eGo 3.7V batt and an eMDDC also works just fine fer me! And yes, match the equipment properly and it doesn't get much better.

I hardly post in the n00b forum any more due to the flack I catch when I mention a simple setup, like the above mentioned eGo combo. I've v-verted 18 folk so far, and with that combo. As long as they're happy and off 'bakky, so be it. If they show interest in my 'latest and greatest', I'll help with that also.

But it all comes down to watts and taste, not money!

So yes, NGIB, a pet peeve of mine also...
doh.gif

Well, if pets are permitted, sign me up, too. I have a problem with anybody with a holier than thou syndrome but I learnd a long time ago to use my feet instead of my mouth. Of course, I spend a lot of time alone  but I like me just fine these days. As for VV..no way will I spend $150+ to try it. I spent $30 and my conclusion is it takes 2 batteries to do what I was doing with one. A vape is a vape :vapor:

NGIB...I rec'd some Resurrectors from CCV and I like 'em. Nice easy draw and lots and lots of vapor using my Gripper. I'm keeping the jumbos and passing the xls to my honey. She's still on the fence so maybe not having to fill so often will help. I was really surprised that the jumbos really do hold almost 2.5 ml. I use a syringe and needle for initial fill and I put 2.5 in and only a few drops came out the other end. Price is right and they should be easy to clean.

Next step will be DIY juice. Any thoughts on suppliers will be greatly appreciated.

Here is a thread with links to the most used suppliers of nic - the prices may not still be valid since the post is a little old, but all the links are still good and the discussion does not get to much side tracked. Myself I use RTS and MFS... I buy 60mg nic - easy to work with and going to 100mg only saves fractional pennies on the dollar and needs more caution to use... Not worth it IMO... Iffy also DIY's and a few others so they can also add more. Just ask...

I've purchased my nic (60mg PG) from High Desert Ecigs and Void Mist when on sale. This is da BEST deal for PG and VG I've found!

My fav flavs are the newer VapingZone.com/DIY-Flavoring-Alcohol_Base and the Capella line. Some of the other manufacturers have good flavs, but the two I listed have given me better results.

Head on over to the DIY E-Liquid forum. Read the stickies and Hoosier's Blog. Got any questions, don't be shy!

I use Aroma WTA- keep it in a seperate ego with Boge carto, on a thong around my neck at all times.
Only take a hit off it approx 5 times a day, maybe less. Some days not at all, also.
The WTA for me, just takes away the strong need for a cig, or calms me down when really needed.
I do not mix it with other juice and only use it at 12 to 15 mg.
It works !! And Aroma is a good supplier for me.
I've been using it the last few days, it seems to fill a void for me. I noticed it the most at work, I'm less distracted and anxious, able to concentrate better. I'm more comfortable with it than without it. I got the Dark Honey Tobacco from Aroma, it tastes great. I've been using it sparingly, dripping it 3 or 4 times a day.

When I started using it I was expecting a Eureka! moment, but the effect I got was more subtle. I didn't have strong cravings for a smoke but more of a feeling that something was missing, after using it for a couple of days I noticed that feeling was gone. It's a nice tool to have to make me more comfortable.

It's disappointing that it's availability is limited to only a couple of suppliers, and the last time I check Aroma was the only vendor taking orders. If more vendors sold WTA maybe the price would come down and more people would give it a try.

lol Yiddle, I listen to you! I try to help a little bit, particularly if no one has answered them at all. But I usually say, look I'm new to this also, and someone else may say I'm wrong, but here's what I think is the thing, or what worked for me. Spent yesterday helping my SIL get a system decided on. I told her, there are other things out there that might be a tad bit better or whatever, but this I know works, and if y'all decide to upgrade later from everything I've seen, you just can't go wrong with a kgo. It may be all you ever need, and if you do upgrade later, you'll always have it as a backup! This is overwhelming enough to newbies as it is!! my head is still spinnin with everything.

lol hippy, I'm just the opposite. I LOVE eating bananas, but can't stand harly any artificial banana flavor. However, this peach cobbler I just got tastes just like FRESH peaches. If they can do that with banana, I might consider some with banana in em.

I need to get a lanyard, but don't think I want the leather thing I've seen. I like the ones with just the chrome ring, but it seems you need to use the cone with them, and I don't particularly like the cone on my riva. I'm thinking about getting a coaches whistle lanyard that has the clip on it, and just wrapping a ponytail holder around my kgo and clipping the clip on it til I find something better.

I actually got and tried out my first clearomizer yesterday, a CE4+ from vapingzone. I needed to order an eGo adapter for my son's VTube so I got 2 of these as well. They have the dual long thick wicks. I loaded it up with my trusty caramel apple and gave it a shot. Flavor was not quite as "clear" as the Resurrectors or CE3s but it was pretty close. It's certainly easier to fill than the CE3s as you just unscrew the tip and drip from the bottle until full. I've vaped it about halfway empty since last night and I'm pretty happy. These are the SR versions so when Discountvapers gets some of the LR versions back in stock I may order a half-dozen or so...

I just got my first clearos and new juice yesterday too. Not really sure what all this is supposed to taste like, and I think i'm having issues with getting too much nic flavor (I think that's what this not so nice flavor is). But I'm having just the opposite things with flavor. Had to go get my CE cheat sheet to see which ones you were talking about. I got a short wick older style CE 4 (stardust), and some CE 3's (phoenix). So far it seems that I'm getting so much more flavor out of the stardust than I am the phoenix. I have two phoenix loaded, one with maraschino cherry juice (no cracking or issues so far) and one with caramel apple. The stardust has peach cobbler. The phoenix's flavor seems to get better after some use, but I'm still getting a lot more flavor from the peach cobbler in the stardust so far. Loving clearos though!! I had serious issues with the poly fil in the boge 510's and mega dual coils I had originally gotten.

A lot of people say they get more flavor from the CR3/Phoenix.....I'm with you, I get more flavor from the CE4 type clearos.

One video I saw said the stardusts were juice hogs, and I can certainly see that. But I do wonder if the more I vape from the pheonix, if the flavor will get better. It seems to be on one, but it could be me just getting used to the higher nic I got. (that was a mistake). Either way I'm loving both of them so far!! Think I might be fixin to load up the long wick stardust with some watermelon. : )

I saw the jumbo ressurectors awhile back and was curious if they work as good as the xl's. Are they cone shaped or cylinder?

Just to show we are all different. I like the flavor of the Ce-3's best but I like the easy fill and shape of the ce-4's plus they hold a little more juice so I use the ce4's on more devices. I have them in 808, Go-Go and ego threads.
I've also had a few of the ce-4's shells crack but not the ce-3's. I'm testing a ce-3 with atomic cinnicide and I've been using it three days without cracking. It has cracked every other clearo I've tried it in. I haven't tested it in the ce4's though being as they are more expensive than the ce-3's but I will after I see how long it lasts in the ce3.

You need to load each type with exactly the same juice - that's what I did. I also used a juice I have been using for quite a while to make sure I gave them a fair test. I'll probably use both of them for a while and then decide which type I'll standardize on.

The small bottle of black cherry (with extra flavor & sour) I got from ECBlends is nearly gone - very tasty. I ordered a big bottle of it this morning as it's destined to be one of my "regulars"...

:)

I get good flavor from the CE3 tanks, but not the XLs. The other issue for me is how much longer my CE4s last than the CE3s did. I have CE4s that I have been using for over 2 months. The only issue I have ever had with them with the tubes cracking. I'm hoping the Ambroid will eliminate that issue. I have yet to have a coil die in a CE4. I had a box of CE3, and a box of Phoenix XL....only one still going out of 10.

Yeah, I know that's optimal, but right now I don't have any juices that I've had for awhile. lol I had my first trial size juices and was sucking fumes til this order of juices came yesterday. Right now I want to taste as many as I can and have less clearos than I have juices. So at some point I'll put the same juice in both types, but at the moment I'm like a kid in a candy store wanting to try it all. lol

I can tell you that if you take rapid hits on a CE4 - you will get a dry hit now and again. As the juice level gets lower, it seems the long wicks take some time to supply the coil. Iff'n I hold it upside down between hits it works better. The CE3s, being bottom coil, due not have this problem. So far, the CE3s are winning this battle for me even though they are more complicated to fill...

I just leave the CE4s laying on their sides....never have dry hits as wicks are always wet. I'm also in the habit of giving them a little horizontal dip when I pick them up...so that probably makes a difference. But....maybe I don't pull on them as often???

I am still loving my Vivi Nova....will order a couple more when they are available. I was hesitant to trim the wicks down as far as some people did.....but I did trim them to about 1/2" as someone advised. They are wicking like crazy, and putting out good flavor. I'm still on the original 2.4 head.

I have two Vivi Novas and they both have worked very good for me too. I like the looks, the juice capacity and the ease to clean or replace heads. I haven't tried the trimming of the wicks yet because mine have wicked good but the flavor isn't quite as good as my ce3's so maybe I will try that on one of mine.

I got the top coil phoenix yesterday along with a short wick stardust so I could see the difference between long and short wicks. I'm down to only 3 flavors right now so it made it easy to do some comparing. For me the long wick ce4+ (stardust) wins out over the short wicks. Great flavor and no problem wicking pg/vg at 50/50. I'm still loving my bc phoenix and so far out of 7 in rotation all are still going fine. Guess I'd better knock on wood  The one that's in best contention with the stardusts, for me is the tc phoenix. It's a warmer vapor than the bc. I've been vaping pear juice in them and it could only have more flavor if I was eating a pear.
