Well done elbetdee, 59 years is a long habit to let go of.... I think it is a case of when you find the perfect flavour/taste, you will prefer to smoke your e-cig and go off tobbacco. I smoked for 29 out of 42 years, and my brain was more easily switched - after trying a couple of systems I found the ideal one and didn't want a tobbacco cigarette, though I'd say I still had the same physical withdrawal symptoms but I could deal with the cravings coz I had my e-cig instead. Your body feels bad for about 3 days, you need plenty of liquid and food to maintain your sugar levels (tobbacco has chemicals in to increase your blood sugar).[/COLOR] So my advice would be to increase fluid intake and food, to help your body cope with the changes for a few days. But you are doing so well, after 59 years, that's amazing, I bet your family are delighted as well. Well done!!:)

I had no idea about this. That's very interesting.

Thanks yiddle and jewels!!! Will have to go get some 2.0 and try those. I was worried about trying anything marked LR because I could not really find out what the benefit was and saw something that said LR drains the battery faster (?)

LOL at least I will have some 3.0's ready when I get a VV. (If I am thinking/saying stuff right ~ so much to learn!)

    Have a great day everyone!

On the topic of rebuilding Stardusts: I am still using several of them that I got 2 months ago. The only thing that has 'killed' them has been the plastic cracking. Have not seen a coil die yet. Having read about this on a couple of threads.....I just ordered a bottle of Ambroid Plastic Solvent from ebay. It is supposed to "weld" the plastic back together, leaving no residue, and eliminate the cracks. Might be the answer for the CE6s some of you got with cracks too. Was $6.62 with shipping...

I ordered some WTA Dark Honey Tobacco juice last night from Aroma EJuice, partly because I'm curious and partly because I'm felling like something is missing with my vaping lately. I guess a 40+ year smoking habit isn't as easy to kick as I thought it was going to be.

I was looking for some information on how you use it. Do you vape their juice by itself, or drip it, or add it to other juices, also is it something that you steep? Since it's at least twice what I normally pay from other vendors I want to optimize my use of it without wasting it. And since I only bought 10 mls of it, if it turns out I really like it I may want stretch it out until I can get some more. I appreciate any input you all have. Thanks.

I use Aroma WTA- keep it in a seperate ego with Boge carto, on a thong around my neck at all times.
Only take a hit off it approx 5 times a day, maybe less. Some days not at all, also.
The WTA for me, just takes away the strong need for a cig, or calms me down when really needed.
I do not mix it with other juice and only use it at 12 to 15 mg.
It works !! And Aroma is a good supplier for me.

That's a good price for a VTube kit. The LT's I got in the co-op where just the tubes, no batt or charger - but that was fine with me, as I didn't need them.

Keep your eye to these threads for co-ops.

Thanks for the link...yep, I'll be watchin' that! :toast:

Hey Harley - one big selling point to bikers would be you can vape while you ride - kind of hard to do with a lit cig (LOL)...

riding with a lit cig was not hard, but trying to light one was impossible-LOL !!
Vaping while riding is much easier, but am terrified that I might drop my favorite hog mod ( or even my ego )

Hello and welcome to this thread, lots of friendly folks here to help you out.

They passed that same reg. here in PA awhile back. It's the paper that the tobacco is wrapped in.

Keep on with the vaping and you'll get there. I had smoked for 50 years and I've made it. That's not to say that there's not been times when I thought about an analog. Last week I got up from this computer and walked over to the table by the door where I used to keep my pack of cigs. ( I live in my daughter's non-smoking household and had to go outside to smoke) I looked down at the EMPTY table and started laughing at myself. Sat back down and vaped my face off.

have you ever needed a cig really bad-lit one up and then realized you were actually vaping with the other hand and only holding the lit cig ? yep- done that a few times myself-LOL !!

Now that I have tried the Boge cartos and like them ~ thank you so much everyone that help me. I have a new question. I ordered the Standard Resistance - I think 3.0 ohms (I'm not good with all this ohm stuff yet).

Using Ego battery (currently only have a 650 mah passthrough one), would I be able to use a Low Resistance 2.0 ohm Boge carto? And what would or should be different than the SR? Would it have more flavor?

Thanks for all your awesome help. I do like the Boges and have found they are easy to use!
yes, you can use the Boge low resistance cartos on ego's. I use the 2.0 om ones all the time.
    warmer vape than the 3.0's

Also use the 2.0 Boge carto's on my VV Hog mod ( wood mod and my favorite)
(Vape the mod at 4.2 also )

I would like to let the new people that have joined in this thread know that we have another thread in the lounge where we do more socializing along with vaping topics that we would welcome you to participate in. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/lounge/289745-older-people-55-up.html
We also have a Social Group called The Mature Vapors headed up by Semi that you are all welcome to join. We have many different subjects we discuss and you are welcome to start a new one. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/groups/mature-vapers.html

I like to post this info once in awhile for the new folks and as a reminder that we need to keep this thread mostly about vaping or it will be moved like the last one was. There hasn't been to much socializing that I've noticed and this is just a reminder mostly for the new people that have joined in. Just PM me if you have any questions about it.:)

Hey OldHippy....do you still ride? I have the same issue....afraid of dropping the PV. Maybe I'll look into a lanyard.

ego on the lanyard-but can't put my wood mod on one-too big, I think anyway.
And never go anywhere, not even out in the yard, without at least 2 pv's.

Get a pouch on a lanyard with the tip sticking out - something like a drawstring bag... You can push the button through the bag...

Pet peeve: I don't own a Provari, therefore I'm either an idiot or not happy.

Do folks understand that some people actually find comfort vaping at 3.7 volts? While I can afford a Provari I just see no need to have one at all. I've found carto/juice/battery combos that work well for me and I'm happy as things are. It really bugs me when the "experts" jump in every noob thread and preach if you don't have a Provari you'll never find happiness.

Thank God for Sailorman as he is really a voice of reason on this forum, he actually tries to help folks find what will work for them. I've actually got a bit snippy with a few "Provangelists" just because they tend to irritate me.

I'm a gun guy and the gun in my avatar is a 1911. A 1911 can cost anywhere from $500 for a basic model to $4000+ for a custom. Many of the folks that own a custom constantly belittle everyone that owns something less - and they are jerks. I can afford a custom 1911 but I find the gun in my avatar (cost me $999) does everything I want one to do. Same with vaping, we all have a need to fill and not everyone needs or even wants a Provari...

I have five VVs and I set 'em to 3.7-4.1V for my daily rotation jooses. An eGo 3.7V batt and an eMDDC also works just fine fer me! And yes, match the equipment properly and it doesn't get much better.

I don't know where Sailorman gets the patience! I don't post too much to the noob forum anymore due to those kind of things... Just wish they'd give people a chance to try something easy before insisting they need a VV.

I hardly post in the n00b forum any more due to the flack I catch when I mention a simple setup, like the above mentioned eGo combo. I've v-verted 18 folk so far, and with that combo. As long as they're happy and off 'bakky, so be it. If they show interest in my 'latest and greatest', I'll help with that also.

But it all comes down to watts and taste, not money!

So yes, NGIB, a pet peeve of mine also...

If the post is early I generally try to listen to what the person is posting and what are they looking for and refer to that... If the post has already been taken over I stay out unless bad advice is being given - then I will chime in... There are a lot of inexperienced people that give advice like an expert to other inexperienced people and sometimes that is dangerous at times...

For example, someone the other day was telling another person that batteries were all the same and that he did not have to waste his money paying for the same thing that he could buy for less than half the price since there was no such thing as counterfeit batteries because a battery was a battery and provided a link to alibaba for the person to view the batteries he was suggesting.
