I tried the Mega cartomizers as well. I didn't like them either, and especially the whistle tips, but had the same problem as you with lack of flavor and dry hits. I still have 4 of them in their wrappers sitting in my box. I'll stick with the Boge XLs they work for me.

I've got 7 of em that I'll need to find a good home for. Shouldn't be too hard though. Lots of folks like em

I just got the Ce5+ and ReVive V2 a few days ago.

So did I. I've found that the ReVive.v2 is just as you describe the CE5+. The horrid hits start 'round 3.9V! At 3.7V, not bad, but not great.

The CE5+: does not seem to like much over 3.7V (YMMV)...

Yet to evaluate 'em...

In the end neither are the answer for me.

So far, I'll vape my eMDCCs, Visions and DCTs before I $pend any more on the ReVive.

Sometimes I just have to shake my head when it comes to vendors. I'll be discreet about the vendor's name.

Last week I wanted to order one of my favorite juices from a vendor. Went to their website and there was a post saying the juice I wanted was unavailable because of a shortage of ingredients. So instead of ordering a 30 ml bottle of what I wanted I ordered a 18 ml bottle of my second choice plus a couple of small sample bottles of other flavors.

Yesterday my order comes and on the envelope it says there's a freebee inside, Yeah for me! So I open the package and what do I find, everything thing that I ordered plus an 18 ml bottle of the juice I originally wanted to order but couldn't because they didn't have the ingredients.

Can someone explain this to me?

Ingredients came in before they shipped your order??? Hey, at least you got what you wanted...and for free!!

You're right it is that vendor, and maybe you'll get lucky too.

P.S. I picked up a 6 ml bottle of Havana Gold from them. What a nice surprise, closest thing I've experienced to smoking yet. It defies logic, being 100% VG it has a HUGE throat hit and a lot of flavor. I definitely need a bigger bottle of this stuff.

Based on the Havana Gold and "missing fruit" comments....I know which vendor you are referring to. I got a bottle of their
Raf-a-Licious RY4 a couple of months ago, and like it a lot. Unfortunately, they don't make it anymore. I recently ordered Sweet Tarts, based on my boss telling me husband loved it. Unfortunately, LOL, I hate it. I've tried adding sweetener...but still getting, tart, but no sweet. Got some Hype (peach and melon), and I do really like that one. Also got Cravaloupe...but haven't tried it yet. Let all of them steep for 2 weeks before trying them....will throw the Sweet Tarts back in the box for more steeping and then try again later.

In general, I find their flavors (the ones I have tried) to be pretty subtle, and a bit muted. Haven't tried Boba's Bounty or the Gorilla one. I gag at the thought of a banana....so pretty sure I wouldn't like vaping anything with banana in it....lol./

By the way Apollo has a coupon for 30% off the VTube if anyone is interested...I ordered the kit Saturday and the tracking says it should be here Thursday...the coupon code is 'vtube30', it works out to just a few cents over $52 for the kit, but I guess MikeE3 got a better deal with the co-op...where do you find out about these co-ops?

That's a good price for a VTube kit. The LT's I got in the co-op where just the tubes, no batt or charger - but that was fine with me, as I didn't need them.

Keep your eye to these threads for co-ops.

Just found this thread and thought I'd put my 2 cents in. I was a smoker of almost 48 years. Used to steal my dad's Lucky Strikes as a kid, by the time I was 16 was at least a pack a day. A little over a year ago, I had to have a long talk with myself, was coughing and hacking like a fool and was starting to have problems catching my breath. Decided to give this a try and I'm sure glad I did. I started the end of March, 2011 doing both, vaping and smoking but on April 28, 2011, I put the cigs down for good and have just vaped. Started with the eGo-T and now have a Provari and BuzzPro and my eGo's. I use cartos mostly as they seem to be the easy to use. I've been trying the tank thing but have absolutely no luck with getting them to work correctly (I must have 3 or 4 different kinds and believe it's operator error) - I even went as far as forking over for a Surge Tank (which I will try to use again). But the cough is gone, I don't have problems catching my breath anymore and I feel better!! And I especially enjoy my vaping!!

Hi bugsman - welcome to the group.

There's many folks here that use tanks. if you're having trouble but still want to get the hang of it, tell us what tanks/carto's you're using and what trouble you're having. I'm sure someone here can help you.

Since I know a few of you are using Stardust - do you rebuild them and if you do how many times can you get away with it before it is toast. I watched a video on it and it looks simple enough and could definitely help if we have to learn how to stretch the life of our equipment. I am using a stardust clone on my Volts and have thought about buying them for my 510 devices since for me these vape good and last about a month on average...

Hi bugsman..I started with Pall Malls but Mom switched to Kents so I had to buy my own. My story mirrors yours but I'm a year behind you. Two months without an analog and I already feel better. "Allergies" the last two years kept me in the house. This year, even though the pollen count is much higher, I am having a lot less symptoms. It's almost like my body was trying to tell me that inhaling burning weeds wasn't good for me

Now that's interesting about your allergies. I haven't heard people talk about vaping having an effect on their allergies, but I'd assume not inhaling burning stuff should help your bodies reaction to allergens.

I have almost been able to stop taking my Allergy medicine altogether - I did not take it at all for several months and now maybe once a week at most on really high pollen count days I assume - I am assuming it is from the PG.

Ummm, not sure inhaling burning weeds was bad for you - uh huh - got some swamp land in Florida to sell ya (LOL)...

Hi bugsman & a big welcome. LOL I stoled my Mom & Dad's unfiltered Raleigh's (Mom saved the coupons & got free stuff) Started swiping them when I was 10...and boy do they get ya hooked quick! Glad you've been so successful with vaping. I'm still pretty new at all this but doing very well I think :)

Now that I have tried the Boge cartos and like them ~ thank you so much everyone that help me. I have a new question. I ordered the Standard Resistance - I think 3.0 ohms (I'm not good with all this ohm stuff yet).

Using Ego battery (currently only have a 650 mah passthrough one), would I be able to use a Low Resistance 2.0 ohm Boge carto? And what would or should be different than the SR? Would it have more flavor?

Thanks for all your awesome help. I do like the Boges and have found they are easy to use!

I'm gonna try and help on this. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. You should be using the 2.0 cartos for the voltage that our egos and kgos put out. Everything I've heard so far is that you need higher voltage than what these have for the SR or 3.0. You should get a warmer, more flavorful vape with the lower ristance 2.0 :)

I don't rebuild 'em. But I have cleaned and dry burned 'em at least six times in the six or so weeks I've had 'em. And they're still working fine. I'll buy fresh ones as opposed to 'rebuilding'.

Oh, BTW, I've used 1.5Ω eMDCCs on both 3.4V and 3.7V eGo batts for months with NO issues whatsoever!

They're going to be coming out with stardusts that have a replaceable head. We'll have to see how they work out. May not have to rebuild them yourself.

I agree with yiddle. For most folks, a 3.0 carto on an ego will not give satisfactory vape. A 2.0 will give you much better flavor and more warmth.

Inhaling burning weeds....hmmmmm........ lol Maybe a drop in allergy meds could be in my future as well. That would be loverly.

Bacsibob, thanks again for the tape idea! I'd tried soaking it in vinegar, but that didn't work. I can still taste the ick from the inside of it, but I can deal with that til my juice gets here. At least it's no longer hurting my mouth. Never would have thought of that, cuz it makes entirely too much sense! You are a steely eyed missle man!! Unless you're a girl name bob, but I'm guessin probably not! lol

Well done elbetdee, 59 years is a long habit to let go of.... I think it is a case of when you find the perfect flavour/taste, you will prefer to smoke your e-cig and go off tobbacco. I smoked for 29 out of 42 years, and my brain was more easily switched - after trying a couple of systems I found the ideal one and didn't want a tobbacco cigarette, though I'd say I still had the same physical withdrawal symptoms but I could deal with the cravings coz I had my e-cig instead. Your body feels bad for about 3 days, you need plenty of liquid and food to maintain your sugar levels (tobbacco has chemicals in to increase your blood sugar). So my advice would be to increase fluid intake and food, to help your body cope with the changes for a few days. But you are doing so well, after 59 years, that's amazing, I bet your family are delighted as well. Well done!!:)
