I spent a lot of time trying to help noobs today (slow at work) and it is tiring for sure. Reading about how they got taken by some vendors really sucks. Got a tad cranky with one noob that was jumping in a few threads and pushing some brand called "tececig". Seems they're a rip off specialist in IL and have mall kiosks. I want to help folks but it's hard work.

Mixed a really nifty flavor today. I took some of the ECBlends green apple and added a touch of strawberry flavoring and made my own "strapple" - it's really tasty and might be a keeper...

I have read that it is safe and much faster. I also remember reading long ago that a slower charge was better for your batteries in the long run. Unless you're in a big hurry, I'd charge at a slower mA. Just my .02.

Ok - my Xtar WP2 came today. It has 2 charging rates 500 mA and 1000 mA. My Pila is fixed at 600 mA.

My batts are AW IMR 18350, 18450, and 18650's. Is it safe to charge them at the 1000 mA rate?

I'm loving my new E2 Apollo Tank from DV. It holds over 5 ml has replaceable innards and is very easy to take apart and clean. Here is a picture of it on my Ovale V8.

How is the taste with Apollo? Plastic or muted? I am trying some clearos, love the convenience but sort of a plastic taste after awhile. bnrk

I don't get any plastic taste but I'm not a real expert on taste. I vape mostly menthol and cinnamon so if it isn't a burnt taste I'm usually happy. This is the best tank I've tried. I like the Vivi Nova too but the Apollo is better to me.

Mine is all cleaned and ready to fill....but haven't tried it yet. Got a couple of the new Vivi Novas coming too. I like the one I have, and the new Stardust is theoretically supposed to use the same heads. Things are looking up in the clearo space for sure....

Well congrats on your DIY success! It's a great feeling and one I wish everyone could experience!

And you are right about the cost of vaping...as long as it isn't smoking! You know what "puzzles" me a lot? They tax the hell out of tobacco products to supposedly get people to stop, and use the money to fund all kinds of programs from education to health to you name it. So lets say everyone does what they supposedly want them to do and quit smoking. Who funds their programs then? Isn't it kind of dumb to create such a self defeating scenario? Or is it just a greedy ploy with no humanitarianism at all involved? Duh! That's a tough one, isn't it? Better yet, I recently read that when the actual rate of smoking was reduced drastically somewhere, some total dingbats had the moxie to complain that their funding had been drastically reduced too! Gee, now, i wonder why??? Ah, it makes me feel so secure about the people in charge, how about you? LOL

Hummm...wonder if the tax thing may be the FDAs obsession to ban ecigs? Actually, no I don't wonder. I'll leave it at that.

Congrats NGIB.

I mixed up some CranApple last night after you talking about apple so much. I always let them steep for a few days, but I plan on trying it this weekend. Sounds like it should be a good combination...

I find fruit flavors don't really benefit from a lot of steeping, but it never hurts. I brought the "strapple" to work with me today as it's a nice change of pace...

A question for you folks. I buy a lot of juice from ECBlends and most of it is really good. I like that you can customize it to your liking and that it's reasonably priced. Now my question:

The "Dragon" series, Blood, Tears, Dream (and others) all get rave reviews. I tried the Blood as it was a free sample and it tasted of fruit & cream which is OK but there is something bitter or acrid to it. If you take medications, you know the pill that gives you the Mr Yuck face when it hits your tongue. Being a brave soul, I ordered a 10ml bottle of Dream (orange based) and Tears (strawberry based) and I get some same bitter, acrid sensation - more of an aftertaste than anything else. I've tried it at different voltages and different deliveries including dripping and it's always the same. I've had both bottles sitting since they came in so perhaps they'll get better as they age.

Anyway, any of y'all tried this stuff?

Thanks, that is good to know. Right now I am using Kanger clearos and they work well on the twist, I also have glass tanks to use on the Provari. I love the pyrex glass because of the clean flavor, wish a clearo was made with glass :) I will have to try the Apollo too :) Thanks, bnrk

I haven't tried any of the dragon stuff but I've got some of their chocolate and coffee blends. I've wondered if the flavorings are alcohol based and if that overwhelms the flavor it's supposed to be. I'm going to try nuking some of it to see if this overtone evaporates.

I haven't tried any of the glass tanks. They all use punched cartos don't they? I wish they would come out with a glass tube for the Nova and I would get one. They have metal ones now but I like to be able to easily see how much juice I have left.
