Welcome to all the new people I see here on this thread !!!!

Patkin........I found that I can't vape anything over 50% vg without my lungs feeling heavy and clogged up...even 50% is pushing it for me. I keep the juices I vape at 70pg/30vg for that very reason.

That's interesting about the VG doing that. Coughing stuff up means your lungs are trying to get rid of what's there doesn't it? I guess we're lucky because Mike and I have had just the opposite. We're not coughing up anything since we started vaping. We've never vaped just VG or PG though - usually 60/30 or 80/20 - now that we're doing DIY it's 50/50 for simplicity. Patkin, have you tried changing your ratio?

I'm just having THE worst time!

OK, no BS here! If you want an inexpensive satisfying vape, just try this; buy one of THESE ($12.50), a couple of 18350 batts, compatible charger and low resistance (LR) cartos with tanks. That will get ya to 'round 8 watts.

If you insist on a 'stable to da end' extended 18650 vape, then you'll need to go with a variable wattage PV with da regulator. This does not necessarily mean that all your issues will be solved though. Only more money will determine that...

Were can I get one of those screw on voltage meters?

OK, before we go out lookin' for one, I suggest that you find one that has the in-line (male and female 510 connectors) capability. That way you can check the batt voltage with your joose device attached (under load).

patkin, wouldn't a Lambo or similar device give you what you want? I know you don't like slippery metal - why not get a Lambo and a wrap?

Oh, and what resistance are the coils you usually use?

That's been the other problem. I found a few that had everything I like and THEN they said use only 2.5 or above. I have at least 50 2.0 Boge which I love and use on all my ego c stuff. I see your other post and thanks Kat. I looked at the Lambo and like it. I didn't know of wraps but found a site following a link here and they are so pretty! and they have Lambo ones. If I don't go that way, its going to be a blue Anyvape. If I can't decide between them then I'm just going to through in the towel and get a VV Gripper. I just want this because of the blankety blank FDA anyway and will continue using my ego c passthroughs or regulars... maybe get a twist too. I can't believe how much of my life I've already spent on this... but well... it is a hobby though. After two weeks of daily browsing I won't know what to do with the time I took up with it... have to find some new games. LOL

Is there an issue with cats and vaping PG? We have 2 cats and they don't seem to have any reaction at all. Of course they ignore catnip too.

Hi Janet... I've read the papers on it. Years back some pet food manufacturer did studies and showed that PG in pet foods should not be put in cat food. It causes a particular kind of anemia. It really scared me reading that so I searched some more and found youtubes talking about it. All the research has been on cats ingesting it so different folks make different decisions. The day I decided to try going to VG I was sitting in my screened in patio and saw the vapor floating quite a long time in the sun light. Then I realized it could land on my cat's fur and get licked off. She's old and I just don't want to push it but that's just me. I beat myself up no end when one of my cats... the alpha who took first seat on me all the time... got lung cancer when I smoked. I was relieved when I talked to the vet who assured me that it came from breast cancer metastisizing (sp?) but that experience and the pain of it has made me really paranoid about accidentally harming them. I even cook their food rather than risk what we went through with the Chinese stuff. Oh, speaking of that, the research also says that even if a cat does get that anemia, if caught soon and with short treatment (meds) they do recover well.

Thanks yiddle... that's been exactly my experience. When I went for my walk today around 2pm, I brought up phlegm again. I guess it will take a while to get out of me. I was stepping down from PG and added 50/50 to my usual 70/30, then went to 70VG 30DW added to it and think that turned out to be way too much.

I'm just having THE worst time! All I want is a mod that uses either 18650 or two smaller bats providing at least 2000/2200 mah.

If'n you're looking at the lower priced PV's I'm only familiar w/ the Lambo/Vamo and Gripper. Neither of these are budget breakers and both will work with 2.0Ω carto's/atty's. The Gipper isn't the most well built PV, but it works pretty good. I think the Lambo/Vamo is a better functioning and built PV, and it operates either as a VV or VW PV. The Gripper only uses 18650's. The Lambo/Vamo will use 1x 18350, 2x 18350's or 1x 18650.

A forum for Old-folks-vaping. I qualify, so I guess my comments belong here.

Fourteen months ago, I purchased my first eCig, a very bad-tasting Cig2O . The next was a Metro, not quite as bad but bad. Then, the three piece 510, which was a major pain because it required constant probing, fluffing and dripping.

Hello Whiplash, welcome to the room. There's no fine print that says vaping will save you money. Maybe the only way to do that is find something that works for you then stop browsing ECF threads.

@Kat....keep an eye on that boiling pot of bamboo thread. I still get miffed every time I look at the little pan that I ruined. ;)

Oh Gosh! I did that to one of Janet's small sauce pans.

Oh oh, and a tip for boiling hemp, or cotton, or bamboo yarn. Wrap a bunch of it around a metal spatula, then put that in the boiling water. You won't have a tangled mess when done cooking it.

HERE or THERE or over YONDER.

Keep in mind that these voltmeters will not read the 3.2V eGo batts.

I think it's not just the eGo batts it won't measure correctly. Other PV that use some kind of pulse modulation for the output can confuse this simple volt meters too.

Patkin, I don't have a Lambo but the newer version handles lower resistance atomizers:

    Low Resistance Atomizers *NEW*:
The Lambo will work with atomizer of 1.0 ohm or higher.

Lambo 4.0 Gun Metal w/ Resistance Checker Variable Voltage

I saw a good price for a Vamo a few days ago too. I will go see if I can find it again, brb :D

Also be aware they will not work on most all PWM mods.

I definitely cannot be trusted to remember that I have a pot boiling. I must, absolutely must, use a timer that will go with me anywhere I go in the house!

When I was a teenager, I put water on to boil to make tea. I went to the bathroom while I was waiting. Then, forgetting about the boiling water, I took a nap. When I woke up, the pan had a hole burned in it!!!
