Unreasonable shipping charges do not make me happy. But you have to be careful because sometimes shipping is cheap, but they increase the price of the product to make up for it. Let the buyer beware...

There's 29.5735296875 ml to 1 oz. At $15 oz, 4 oz would be $72. That's quite a difference to pay $39 for 4 oz.

If I figured right:
ADV = 15.00/36ml = $.42/ml
SwtLef = 39.00/120ml = $.33/ml

Yeah! found a new one.

Re shipping costs. It really irks me because my daughter has her own business (not vaping) and she directed me to the USPS site where she pays for their service. There I learned that vendors pay $16.00 a month for USPS priority mail service.

Not doubting you but just wondering if that charge is just for the service. Such as supplies. things like boxes, envelopes and labels. And for any time on call pick-up service.

Willie, did you ever get the extra tanks you wanted?

And, how 'bout some music to brighten my day?

I have been looking for someplace that sells those tanks that take the standard Boge carto, however, have had no luck yet .. still using the one you gave me, though .. I only change liquid when I break out a new carto, so I don't really need many of them .. as opposed to some that have a very large collection .. ;)

I am going to abide by the rules on this thread and keep it PV related at all times .. although something may pop up at the "other" thread .. :)

I've been following this closely over on the diy forum. Many of us were anxiously waiting for the website to open. We were told that there would be a $5 option. Needless to say, we are all pretty disappointed. Right not it says the site is under reconstruction, so we'll see if they put in another shipping option.

They carry a tank that takes a Boge carto here: AGR_Carto_Tank_p

It has a couple of bonus features:
  • filling hole on top so you can just insert a needle to fill without sliding the carto out
  • two-piece bottom cap that locks the carto in place
Unfortunately, they're out of stock right now.

Someone asked about the Vamo so am updating on it:

It works great with my 18650 battery but not at all with 18350. Both batteries are new and fully charged Trustfire 3.7v using the same 2.0-2.4 Boge carto. With the 18350, loosing the end cap will make it come on briefly but then it, evidentally, turns itself off with a dead screen and won't fire. Well, actually I used the 18650 before it was done charging because I wanted to see if it worked with it and it did without any problems and cap fully tightened down. I have posted on a Vamo thread so will see what is replied and I've contacted Bombvapor to see what they say. Will let you know.

There's a co-op selling these for $8. It's not taking new members but I can add to my order. If anyone wants a couple I'd be willing to do it for you. Or you can join the co-op on the reserve list and if anyone drops out, you may have the opportunity to 'go active'.

Why do they insist on making tanks from Polycarbonate? It'd obvious from the pics that's what it is. The syringe fill would be a deal breaker for me.

Another Vamo update:

I watched this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clzX6_BIsSQ

and since her fav wattage setting was 7.0 I decided to try that. I don't know what it was as packaged but I had set it to.. I think... 4.0. I don't know if that fixed the problem or if the nipple contact is touchy and it inserted in just the right spot but it worked. The same 18350 is working now. I am just hoping if it is a touchy nipple a different battery will solve it or this will drive me up a wall. *did that sound right?.. I'm leavin it*

Edit: anyone notice how often I edit? geeez... my fingers and head don't coordinate very well.

So you don't recommend these then .. ??

Well, I am just one person. I don't use polycarbonate tube tanks because I vape flavors that will crack them. I mod mine with polypropylene tubes.

Willie - if you don't vape cinnamon and a few other flavors (which I can't remember) polycarbonate tanks are fine. Most of my tanks are carbonate. As to syringe filling a tank - it's my fav way. I pull the carto down just far enough to fit a syringe in and fill it up. I can get more in this way then dripping from a bottle (even when using some of the filler toys that plug the carto top when filling). It's a matter of what works for ya and what ya like.

Fran got some of these tanks and 'warning' they don't work with 801 Fusion carto's.

Well, it's nice to hear its working for you. Quite strange. I didn't even realize the VAMO can be set to 4 watts. Just for the heck of it, I tried it w/ 2.7Ω atty. It barely produced any vapor. Back to 7.5 watts real fast.

True, it depends on the flavors. Lots of my flavors react with polycarbonate. Another minor detail that bothers me since we are all about harm reduction is that polycarbonate contains BPA, so all of my tanks are polypropylene. I prefer to stay away from it. Just my opinion.

Willie....Check ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE / E CIGARETTES STARTER KITS AND E LIQUID NICOTINE FROM MOM AND POP. I've been using their sub & mini-sub for almost 1 yr. & love them. No syringe, no leaks, just a pleasure, plus they're fantastic to deal with. Just a thought.....

These tanks looks great, and I have heard wonderful things about them. For me, I prefer tanks with caps rather than grommets. Being able to replace the carto by doing a "hot switch" is a deal breaker with me. I used grommet tanks for a long time, and they work very well except for the fact that you need to disassemble the tank to change cartos.
