Is size or looking like a cigarette important? Those 808 pre-filled carts are too expensive IMO. If size is not a factor, try a eGo Twist 1,000 mAh, or a Spinner 1,300 mAh. I would also go for a cartomizer tank like the DCT tank (use the single coils).

To me, the auto batteries are a pain. Manual is much better.

OK... plz explain to me why you prefer manual batts? And why auto batts are a pain? I've never used a manual batt, so I'm clueless.

Yes, size is important, as I still prefer long/slimmer to short/fat. And that is nothing but aesthetics and what appeals more to me. And I do want tanks/cartos that I can fill myself.

With an auto battery, you must "prime" with a couple of short puffs before you take a vaping draw. With a manual, you hit a button, and get instant vapor.

Natasha - the Ecab will last about 1 hour (maybe 2 hrs) longer than the Volt so the improvement is small. The Ecab also has draw problems intermittently if you do not get it set just right, but if you are not finnickly it is over all a good PV for the size... I use the Volts (I only have one Volt left) and the Ecab for my out and about PV since it fits in a shirt pocket easily. You were having taste problems - the Ecab is more muted for taste than the Volt (just a heads up). The 650 mah is a good suggestion if you want to keep the size down - they are about 50% larger and about 20% longer. If you are using 3 Volts in a day you will probably use 2 Ecabs or one 650 mah... A 900 mah will easily last a day and a little into the next one... and is about 60% larger than the Volt and about 35% longer.

The rule of thumb seems to be 100mAh = one hour vaping time. Part of it depends on the length of time one takes per draw. You may or may not like the Twist or Spinner, but batteries have limitations, and the smaller sizes simply won't stay charged as long. As far as the cigalikes go, the Volt is one of the best.

Morning all... sorry have been MIA. Work's been NUTZ.

Quick question... I'm getting on very well w/ this vaping, but I think I'm becoming a vaping addict. I'm going thru 3 batteries a day w/ the VOLT system, and that is not going to fly. SO... what do ya'll think about the JOYETECH E-CAB? Longer battery life? And is the manual battery a pain?

TIA!

I just recently got into the eRoll. It's a little bitty battery (90mah), but it has a 1000 mah pcc (personal charging case) with it, in the kit. In the kit, you get....2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 1 (sometimes 2) cones, 3 cartidges, pcc, charging cable, wall plug.

You treat the battery like a cigarette. When you are done with your vaping session, you put it back into the pcc, for the next time. It consists of the battery, an ego c type A atomizer, an atomizer cone, and a 1/2 ml tank/cartridge. The battery can last up to an hour of my vaping (moderate to heavy), but it's not meant to be used that way and is harder on the battery. I've only had it for a few days, so can't tell you about long term, but I have not used any of my other batteries since I got the kit on Tuesday. It is a 3.7 regulated battery, and hits as good as, if not better than the regulated mini ego batteries that I have.

Here are some people's complaints (besides battery life).....
.....small tank size - I plan on taking filled extras or a needle nosed bottle for refilling
.....needing a needle nosed bottle for refilling - there is a removable plug on the cart, so is not really necessary
.....no storage for extras in the pcc

I'm sure I've forgotten something. Here's the link that talks about everything http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/340059-joyetech-eroll.html

My opinion is, I LOVE IT. I got it because I wanted to decrease my pacifier time. It seems to be doing the trick. I feel like I'm smoking again (forgot, that was another complaint someone had). Take it out of the pack, vape for a few minutes, put it back into the pack. I'm one of those that started vaping due to health problems starting, or I'd still be on cigarettes.

Here's where you can get the kits......JOYE eRoll Parts : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes Use coupon code 20rocky and get 20% off.

Sorry, I wrote a book. I get excited talking about my new toys, and gotta spread the word. :)

I've been using a manual from the start because we had the 808s and I was told that it was easy to kill the batteries if juice got into them. I think they've sealed them since that time, but I've been liking the manuals a lot. I feel like I control when I want them to work. Mike got a auto for his pipe and sometimes it would start just from air blowing past it. Maybe the one you have doesn't do that? I don't know about the autos these days.

I personally like Auto Batteries a lot and the new generation autos are very responsive and they are not activated by wind or frequencies like the old ones were. The only thing you want to avoid with autos are leaking cartos.I've tried just about all the ones on the market and these from Mtn Vapor are the best I've found. They have a very small hole so even if your carto leaks a little it will not get into the battery. Auto Ego Battery This battery with an Evod or Mt3 clearo make a great setup.

Ah... ok thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. Although the auto Volt batteries seem to be very responsive IMO, BUT having never used a manual battery, I say that w/ zero experience otherwise.

Sounds like ecab in not my answer either. What 650 mah batt do you recommend?

So, if I want a longer lasting batt, move past the cigalikes. Got it.

The Nanos leak. I left town yesterday w/ a friend w/ 5 filled Nanos laying flat in my bag, and by the time we reached our destination, 3 of them were almost halfway empty.... from leaking.
The AEGO.... in diameter, is this a sharpie marker, or a big fat marks-a-lot?

No, I've not had any issues w/ this at all. And even w/ the Nano cartos leaking, my Volt auto batts have done fine. I just have to recharge often.

LOL... well it's good that you like your new toys. I have the mega PCC w/ the Volt system, which works well, I'd just prefer to not have to continue messing with mutiple charging and refilling of cartos every day.

OK... so here is what I am thinking. Battery in the sharpie-size range. 650 mah or better. The longer in length, the better, IMO.
And non-leaking refillable cartos, or clearos, of whatever else such is called. I don't want pre-filled cartidges.

And I think I might like a system that I can add something pretty to... such as a glass drip tip or a glass tank. However, I have NO CLUE what type threading is compatible w/ these items. AND, how does one use a glass tank? I presume one has to "build" the atomizer part of it, which I'm not sure I want to do....? I know these are ignorant questions, but I am most assuredly completely ignorant when it comes to all of the accessories available for customizing one's own set-up.

You do not have to build the atomizer! I like the cartomizer tanks. Below are a few examples. The IBTanked is a good one, and cheaper than the Phiniac. The Phiniac has a excellent reputation, and has a video of it being thrown against a brick wall, and hitting a concrete floor, surviving both impacts. I don't know if the IBTanked will do that or not.

Stay away from the dual coil cartomizers. I use 3Ω carto's, but that is personal preference.

You are correct! The 650 mAh should last about 6.5 hours. A 1,000 mAh should last around 10 hours. Again, it depends on the length of the draw one takes as to what the actual time between charges will be.

Edit: I prefer the pre-punched carto's, but you can get a punching tool and do it yourself. I'm lazy and go for the pre-punched one's!

Cartomizer tanks... how long do these last and is there any maint? Do they leak? And I don't understand "resistance", nor how to choose same?

Battery wise I'm not much help as my Volts haven't seen the light of day in a while, but I used these
tanks on the Volts.

eGo Twist Batteries
http://www.myvaporstore.com/Joye_eGo_C_Twist_Variable_Voltage_650mAh_Battery_p/ego-c-tst.htm

The tanks will last forever. Cartomizers last anywhere from a week to a month. All cartomizers have to be filled before use. I use the flanged cartomizers, but that is personal preference.

Filler: These fillers make filling your tank easy
NEW Filler Tip

The glass drip tip you mentioned will work with all the carto's
The Bedazzled Tanks look very nice, and you will probably be pleased with them!
Cartomizers come in two different lengths and need to be sized to the length of tank you buy.
As far as OHM's go, anywhere between 2.Ω and 3.0Ω should be just fine. The 2.0 OΩ will work on lower volts (3.2v to 3.8v), and the 3.0Ω will work better in the higher range (4.0v to 4.8v). The 3.0Ω carto's may last a little longer thean the lower OHM carto's..

Edit: I forgot to add it is wise to get two batteries so you can have one charging while using the other. You will also need a battery charger.

2nd Edit: I made a mistake for the link on the eGo Twist batteries.

Can some who have the glass-type tanks show me your set-up (pix, plz) and describe what you have?

I am still not really getting how all of this goes together....

ETA: the carto goes inside the glass tank. tank attaches to both drip tip and battery...?
But in filling w/ liquid, one fills only the carto, not the tank. And one has to use cartos that have the fiber in them (requiring drip filling) and not a clear carto?

OH WAIT... NOW I GET IT! Carto+Tank- a Carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates Carto by way of hole in Carto.

Just curious, does anyone else here use a Vision Eternity RBA? Or is it just me LOL. I've been using mine for quite a while now in a different configuration than what is shown on all the vendor sites, like it better, and figured I'd share in case anyone would like to know.

The drip mode vapes very nice, but is kindof too contraption looking for my taste. I use the tube that is actually intended for the Type A Ego-C tank, but instead of the tank, I slap a Type A Drip Tip in there :D

Manufacturer's drip mode set up / Drip Mode with a Type A drip tip & tank tube:
