Just tag, charge and use 'em as pairs. You'll' be OK.
I know that you're now gun/batt shy after your eGos. Don't let yourself get talked out of a superior and reliable setup. But, if you're still dubious 'bout stacking batts, get yourself an 18650 mod.
Hell, I'll gladly send ya a plastic/rubberized Bolt, two 18650 batts and a charger to try out. Noper, it's not a VV/VW... but I don't go over 3.5V on any of my PVs anyways!
I just feel bad you've had a chain of mishaps! I've been vapin' near two years (next month) and my worst encounters have been dry hits (have I ever mentioned that I HATE dry hits?!?!) Send me a PM if you're interested.
Iffy, you are so very kind. I've just watched most of Phil Busardo's review of the VAMO, which was helpful. And really, in looking at it.. it's HUGE. I cannot imagine that I will ever want to use it except in the short mode w/ 1 little battery. BUT.. if I do... I will come find you first so that you can teach me to safely stack batteries. He did say that the one long batt rattles around alot, where as two short ones stacked do not. I'm not sure which style of TOP he had on his short batts, but they did not rattle.
You are very generous to offer to send me one of your mods to try. I'm ok. I just have to be careful, patient, and read the instructions here on ECF. And stay in short-mode! We have TONS of rechargeable electronics in this house. And we leave things plugged in, charging, all the time. And I've never given them a thought until reading about some of the batts here on ECF.
One thing I am going to need help with is understanding about the VV, VW, and the RMS. Busardo was going over all these diff settings and I'm like... OH GEEZ this is WAYYY over my head. I am going to need to know how to stay out of the danger zones, cuz I definitely don't understand any of that stuff.
