Somewhere out there
I like that approach . I was going to treat myself to a ProVari when I hit 6 month's smoke free. I moved that up and got my 1st one at 2 months and my second one at 3 months. I punished myself at 6 month's and didn't buy another one.

I was up to 10 510, slim batts in the beginning. I was going through about 1 batt/hr and the constant recharging with the original 2 from the starter kit was driving me nuts.

I rotate 4 batts per day between 2 ProVari's and have 2 batts for spares. I too have them numbered in case / when they start to degrade I can tell them apart.

I think this is the best thing to do is treat yourself :) Regardless of cost, I think of it more now like joining a spa cost, healthy living expense! LOL But vape toys, how fun it is!! And all the flavors and different types of carts, tanks, etc, lots of fun stuff to play with, I love it! bnrk

Thanks for starting this thread.I was a smoker for over 50 years.I have of course gone down the usual path.Chantix,(quit for nine months, albuterin ,couln't quit any now I finally found e cigs.I started with a couple of junky expensive ones then I found a 510 kit that helped me stop.It was kind of a rocky road but I did it.I have COPD so I really had to quit.I'm now using an ECHO 900 mah.I would like to upgrade more but my budget is a little tight.I still have a little trouble when I get stressed but try to keep on course.

25% is pretty high. I usually do 20%, and I'm trying to cut back. My base is 50pg/50vg, so when I add my flavoring, my final juice leans heavier toward the pg side. I find that sometimes a little EM(ethyl maltol)/cotton candy flavoring will bring out flavors. If you just add a little, it won't really get too sweet, but enhance what you have. I have seen it discussed that the flavorings are the "big unknown" in vaping. It is generally assumed that the pg, vg, and nic are relatively harmless for inhalation. But no one really knows how the flavorings will affect us since they are made for food, not inhalation.

That being said, I know of some vendors and other diyers that go up to 40% flavoring. And I know some that vape only flavorless.
Jewels
on the Dr Pepper flavor it has it as 25 - 50

The 25% Dr Pepper flavor of 70/30 no nic is very weak in taste, but Ill vap it
I made a small batch that is 90/10 and Dr Pepper at 50% and that have more flavor.

Not sure what I am doing. Just sorta experimenting with it.

I also have a question about the Boge cartos.
The ones I ordered are the Boge 808d regular not LV.
They get really warm when I am vaping. Noticeably warmer than the ones that came with the Volt.
Just wondering. I have filled 3 of them and they all three get waay warm. Not quite what I would call hot , but close.

Morning from the doorway in to the doorway out.
Hope your day is good for you and yours.

2 have been working good. One charges, use one. Then 1 is charged and 2 is ready.
Not sure If I switched the batteries around and got confused.

1 battery has been lasting longer than it takes to charge one so I have always had a charged battery.

I have been thinking about next paydays spending. Thought about 1 of the 650mAh Volt batteries.
That should do the trick.

My shirt pocket is full with 2 batteries, 5 cartos and a 30ml Bottle of Juice and the usb charger. Where am I gonna put another battery.
:)

Thanks VapRon

The volt 650 x2 is a good battery but you can get an echo 1300 for about half the price and it works just as good. The 650 X2 Volt is the same length as the Echo 1300. I have both of them and both are autos with 808D threads. 1300 auto ECHO Battery
Actually to be correct the echo 1300 is about half the price of the volt X2 1300. The 650's are much closer in price. 15.75 for the Echo and 20.00 for the Volt and you can use the Volt as a passthru device too. You can also get the volt in manual wheras the Echo is an auto.

What brand of flavoring is your Dr. Pepper? I've never read recommended % as high as 25-50%. Unfortuneatly, I have absolutle no experience with The Volt or Boge 808D cartos, so I can't help you there. But you can get some answers from this subforum Atomizer, Cartomizer and Tank Discussion. Smokeless Image also has their own subforum, Smokeless Image

I meant to ask
Does the Dr. Pepper Flavor need to steep or the mixed juice ?

Thanks

I vape mostly fruits which don't require much steeping time, if at all. Again, I've never used Dr. Pepper flavoring. I know you're more comfortable here, but if we don't have your answers, there are a lot of great folks over at the diy forum. DIY E-Liquid

Hi nansc,

Welcome to the thread. Looks like you can handle a rocky road - good for you. It's been 7 month's since my last analog and some days it's a lot of 'mind over matter' to resist. I truly don't want to go back to analogs and I'm glad I found ECF and the folks here in this thread. It's a great support group and a good place to ask questions and get answers about PV's, e-liquids, and accessories.

Jewels Thanks

Flavor West Dr. Pepper

I changed back to my 555 in a carto that came with kit and sitting here and vaping away I did notice it was getting as warm so, I quit worrying.
I get very confused and overwhelmed when I go to the DIY section here on ECF

Yeah my husband is a chain smoker who is always leaving lit cigs all over the house and it is very hard not to pick them up.Also he is always offering me one Jeez.......

Nan...next time he offers you one, take it and put it in a baggie. Tell him you'll smoke it at his funeral :D . I'm gonna guess he feels threatened. We are very protective of our addictions. Hang in there and do it for you. He might decide it's worth a try after he sees your success.

Keep your e-cig handy, find some juice you really like, and count the days you're adding to your life and the dollars you're keeping in the bank.

You know what, that really helped. The sad thing is he has had heart failure 3 times and I probably will be doing just that.I guess it is about being protective of your addictions. Thanks a lot.:?:

For me after 49 years I had to work with the fact that I was saying good by to a friend of 49 years.
One who always listened never judged and was great company.

I have not finished grieving for that loss as Im still rolling a couple a day, wait today so far none.

Sometimes we loose friends, in this case we have to be the one to sign the Death certificate and do the burying/letting go.

I am discovering that this new way also listens and never judges and give me plenty of e-smoke to look at and is pretty good company.

No you guys are amazing, you actually brought tears to my eyes and I am a pretty tough old broad.Nobody really understands how hard it is.The thing is I really cannot breathe if I smoke 'just walking out to to the car is hard.I have to lean against the car to get my breath.Everytime I see some one smoking I want to tell them to stop but we know that doesn't work. Thanks for your support. Yeah I do slip sometimes too.

I told him I had to make sure I never missed a life insurance policy payment.Don't be sorry,I'm the same way.I kind of think it may just be habit for him he did it yesterday and said he probably shouldn't be offering me one duh.....My brother has the same problem with his wife,he bought her an e cig and she won't use it and she just had a major heart attack. He quit smoking and she's chainsmoking in the house all day. It's just too easy to grab a drag.Smoking really is the devil isn't it.
