I agree, I thinking the easiest way to get started is with an ego, riva, or kgo. I started with egos and rivas, and it was very user friendly. I used Boge lr cartos. It wasn't until later I decided to move to VV vaping and tanks. Lots of folks stay with their egos and kgos and are very satisfied with their vaping experience.

Good morning folks.

I am on a quest. I have been using and enjoying CE3 smokymizers. I love the fact that they have no filler, a bottom atomizer, are clear so I never run them dry and they are about the same size as a cartomizer. They are getting harder and harder to find.

The only route it seems I have is to try to find something else.

I bought a couple of CE6 Clearomizer tanks. Had no idea how big they would be but that isn't really a problem since I would be using them on a box mod. I just prefer smaller juice holders. They look to be very well made but one of them leaks and tastes burnt. The other one tastes ok. The draw on both is really tight. Kinda like trying to suck a thick milk shake through a straw that is too small. Not good.

I am not sure what to try next. I would love to be able to just order one or two of all the new things until I find something but that, for me anyway, is not doable.

What are y'all using personally? I know that there are a lot of new things coming out. So many in fact that it is overwhelming me. I don't have to have the latest and greatest. I just want something that works out of the box. I am not good at taking something apart to mod/fix problems before I can use it.

Help!!!!!

Have you tried the CE3 XL which are similar to the smokemizer but are a revised version from what I understand. I never tried the smokemizer but do like the ce3 xl from VaporAlley. He seems to always have them in stock so far anyways. http://www.vaporalley.com/CE3-XL-Clearomizers_p_65.html

I also like the ce-4 Vision clearo called by many different names but they have worked pretty good for me. I think they may be an earlier version of the ce 6 but I haven't tried the Ce6 so I'm not sure. I like bigger capacity tanks and cartos myself and like the Phoenix 3ml bottom coil tank best. I'm also liking the Vivi tank as well.

Good Morning all

How goes it Tom10 and thanks for the story.

Well when I am home I need 1 more battery cause I sit here at the PC and vape more than when it is a work day.
Looking at a pipe setup . After looking Txtubleweeds suggestion seems to be the best for a price I can almost afford.
The cheapest way for a pipe is to go with the Kuwako pipe bowl and you can use any ego type device with it. The Bowl cost 12.99 I think. It works best with an auto battery but a 650 manual will also work good with them.
There are two basic 3 ml echo cartos the dual and single plus the echo 808 clearomizer. I mostly use the echo single coil and the 808 echo clearo. These vendors have all three. Echo Cartomizer (Echomizer)

ECHO cartomizer He calls the 808 clearo an i-Turbo and you would want the regular echo carto not the echo-e they have ego 510 connection.
Given my small expendable cash flow at the moment I'll have to be patient and put it together slowly.

any more input is appreciated.

No I haven't but I will get a box of them. The look to be a lot like the smokymizers. Probably are the same under a different name. There seems to be a lot of that going around. I think that is what keeps me confused. Actually doesn't take much to do that.

Where do you get your ce-4 's? I could adjust to the bigger units if they work well. The main thing for me is works well out of the box instead of having to work on it first and no filler material.

Thank you Tx..

I actually use the Vision version and they have them at vaporAlley as well. He calls them Vision ego clearomizer. His has the longer wicks and the ones I use have short wicks so I'm not sure if that is good or not.

Discount vapor has a large selection of the Vision Clearos. He calls the short wicks like I use Vision Ce4 V1 Clearomizers and the long wicks are V2. You might try one of each to see what works best. He doesn't have any of the ce3 xl's yet but has them on order. He has the best prices on them. Cartomizers - DiscountVapers.com

Yea!!!!! Eric @ DV just let me know that he has the CE3 xl's in and I ordered a box of them from him. I do like dealing with him since he is willing to go out of his way to help. I got my CE6's from him too.

Thank you Tx. I knew I could count on you to point me in the right direction.

CE5 report

Filled up my first CE5 today and first drag...YUCK!!! WARNING Before you do anything with these take them apart and wash them as they come with left over machining oil...

After washing I filled it up and let it set for a few minutes so that it would wick and now all is good..I can't tell any difference in these and the CE4 except these are rebuildable..

The flavor is the same as the CE4.

Because of the screw on base they are a bit taller than the CE4.

Well there you have my little report and don't forget to clean them first..

A little tip the CE4...don't get over hard on dry burning these or you will burn out the coil..they are not as strong as the go-go coils..

I never EVER get tired of reading stories like yours jj2.

I personally am the biggest bonehead in this forum. After smoking for nearly 10 years, I quit for 11 years and even ran two Chicago Marathons during that period, I then took up smoking again and proceeded to have a heart attack at the age of 47. I continued to smoke after my heart attack (despite repeated attempts to quit) and then, thank God, discovered vaping last year. Seriously, can anyone be more boneheaded than that?
Yup! Took two bypass surgeries for me. But been tobacco free for over a year and a half. I was able to quit the day I got my first PV. Smoked for 46 years 1-2 ppd. My wife saw and ad in a magazine for ecigs. She asked if I would try it,if she bought me one. She had never smoked and put up with my filthy habit for 43 years. I told her to let me do some research. I am the kind of guy that doesn't jump into things until I check it out. Long story short-- found ECF read posts for about a week and then made a choice for an 801 Penstyle. It did the trick. Stayed with it for a while, but got tired of carts leaking, and going dry, trying blue foam and tea bags and every other trick, so moved onto 510 and cartos. Haven't looked back. Now have two VV box mods, a Lava tube and several KGO setups. I have not had an urge to smoke since day one. Guess I was ready.

Hi Elbertdee...Have you considered a passthru? I have a Joye 1000 plugged into my pc whenever I'm on line - it's always charging while I'm puffing & then I can just cap it & take it with me when I run out the door. It's really my favorite (I know everyone has their own) & I can't believe how long I've had it - pushing a year of VERY heavy use....anyways - it's something to maybe think about.:2c:

I will say then in the few weeks I have been at this , some of my no ways have started to fall off.
Having a tether to the PC Im not ready to embrace.

Long life battery and large capacity for juice. That is why Im looking at the pipe setup.
The 1300 bat and 3ml cart

I have looked at the possibility of the Volt X2 , it comes with a pass though and the battery life is longer than the regulat 280 that came in the kit.

So I guess in a small way I have considered a pass thru

Thanks for helping me think.

Sounds like a very nice set up. Who has it & is the battery the size of a flashlight?

That part of you're story is so similar to mine. Janet said let's get e-cigs and I spent the next few days googling, found ECF - spent another few days lurking. Then started with a Joye 510 carts&atty's - blue foam, tea bags, etc, then to carto's, then to VV. Just wish I could shake the urge to smoke. It's not strong, constant or overpowering, but it is a lingering nagging pest I've not yet banished. It's probably poking it's nasty head up a bit more lately as I've just reduced my nic level from 18 to 12. I'm going to give it another week to see if it settles down before going back to 18.

Hi moishesmom ,have you ever considered an Echo kit .they are a big name brand like Joyetech.I just ordered a Echo Ego 900 mah kit at Liberty Flights and it comes with 5 great cartomizers,2batteries carrying case.If you push the 20% discount button at the top it only comes to $32.00 with $ 2.99 for shipping. They have extra large cartomisers so you don't have to refill all the time.I love mine.Just a thought. It sucks to be on a budget. I would love to get a mod but it's just too pricey right now.Darn ol house repairs.

CE3, CE4, CE5, CE6, Clearomizers, Vision, Phoenix - I get so confused trying to keep all this straight, I don't know how you folks do it, yet alone remember which vendors sell which juice holders. I'd need a picture book with descriptions as a cheat sheet.

You and me too Mike. I have spent the day talking (email) with Eric at DV trying to get all this clear in my mind. It is all rather confusing.

Its the Kuwako bowl and you can use the echo 1300 battery and a 3ml carto.
That was what has been suggested to me and so far looks good.
Just gotta find out what I need to charge the battery.

Putting a price list together so I can see what I can get for Fathers Day.

You can probably use your volt charger for the echo but it might take a little longer to charge it. You can also just pick up an echo usb charger for about 3 or 4.00 wherever you get the echo battery.

I've never seen a 900 echo and didn't know liberty flights was selling echos. I'll have to check them out. They must have just started selling them recently. :)

Nansc do you have a link for the echo at LF. I can't find one on their site. Are you sure it is an echo ? Is it an auto battery with 3 ml cone carto.?

It must be a smok tech ego 900 you are talking about. Totally different than the echo.
