Thanks caff. You got me thinking and I found that the buttons are almost flush with the top. I think they collapsed into the batts. I posted this on the thread you linked.

Right on.

Yeah, I just figured I'd get the kit with the 2 generic batteries that we know work as the difference in price between the kit + 2 spares and buying a standalone unit + 4 batts is not much. As a newb vapor, the kit also has things I'd want as well like the charger so it's all good. :)

Next month, I can just get a good charger and I'll be set for everything hopefully.

Greetings everybody!

I've been following this thread and enjoying it for some time and I can't remember if I posted here before. Does having a bad memory qualify me for this thread? JK I'm 59, so I'm sure that I qualify. :)

At any rate, I'll be hanging around here and will comment occassionally. Will try not to be too chatty. From everything I've read, this is a great group of folks.

Hello Gloria and welcome to the group. I don't think the term 'too chatty' even exists in this.

    Ooh, I like the Pepper that way too. But since my family has it's fair share of, shall we say "excessive imbibers", and I've seen how easy it is for me to fall into imbibing daily, I refrain from keeping any whiskey in the house. :)

    I allergic to to that whiskey stuff, it makes me break out in spots!

    Like Denver, Seattle, Portland, .........

    Altho.....we might want to relegate the chatty stuff to the "other thread" to prevent this one being moved to the Lounge.

    ooops! yea, Harley's right. I forgot where I was. Gloria we try to keep this thread about vapin' so it doesn't get moved from the Gerneral Smoking forum.

    Meet up with us over here, where the 'chat' is fun and diverse.

    Morning! Welcome, Gloria!!!!!! I once set my house on fire cooking,,,,,,I can relate to your husband,,,,,I've never seen anything move as fast as that fire. Between smoke, fire and water damage, the house had to be gutted,,,,awful. I;d say you were very lucky to have the metal siding!!!!! and way to go on helping a newbie!!!!!

    Thanks for the Welcomes everyone!!!

    @MikeE3
    Thanks for the heads up. I don't want to be the cause of having this thread moved.

    @CommaHolly
    That's a shame about your home! I hope that you didn't lose any irreplacable momentos. That had to be traumatic to have to gut the whole house!!!

    That newbie siding guy said he had a heart attack 5 years ago and I could see that he was desparate to quit smoking. I'll be following up with him and I really hope that him and wife are successful with vaping.

    Lost everything,,,,,,,momentos and all. It was a rental house,,,,so the insurance paid the owner and then sued me. Worst 5 years of my life while that law suit dragged on,,,,,,,,YES you can be sued for an accident. but no one died (except the guinea pig :( ) and life goes on,,,,,,,,,,,another reason I love vaping,,,,,,,no ash tray fires,,,,,,,,to this day (and this happened in 94) when I smell smoke I can not identify, I am terrified,,,,,,,I'm ok, if I know where it's coming from,,,,,camp fire, etc,,but if I can't identify the source, I am literally terrified.

    Wow Holly so sorry you had to go through that.

    I think we all forget from time to time to keep this about vaping, cuz everyone is so nice.

    Stalking my mail ma'am today hoping to get my vivi. I've had some issues with the excalibur, but not too bad. Mostly condensation, not the end of the world, just annoying. I also keep putting my finger around the air holes when I'm vaping. lol If I use my thumb to fire, my finger just sorta wraps around em, not good. lol A few dry hits, some gurgling, and a few times that it just doesn't do much for a few times, then suddenly starts working again. The biggest thing I think was that last night I was getting a definite metallic taste, but not so much today. So may have just been my taste buds. I'm really liking being able to get to everything!!

    That's tragic! I'm so sorry to hear about what you went through, and the fact that you're still suffering from that trauma.

    I had no idea that a renter could be sued for an accidental fire. Good grief!

    @Debadoo

    I just got the 2mil and 6mil Excaliburs. I definitely like the 2mil better than the Stardust types that I've tried from different vendors, which for me had a "suck your eyeballs out" type of draw. :)

    I'm still using an old Vision Stone that nothing else seems to beat for the flavor and vapor production. I haven't tried the Vivi Nova yet though. Anybody tried that who has also used the Stone?

    yep, it's called subrogation. It happens all the time,,,,,,insurance companies try and re-coup some of the costs they had to put out when something is someone else's fault,,,,and it was my fault, accident or not. You see it mostly with auto accidents,,,,,,Car A causes an accident to Car B,,,,,Car B sues Car A's insurance,,,,,or "subrogates" it. Most people have car insurance, so they never worry about it,,,,,,,,,,,,but I had no renter's insurance, so they sued ME instead of an insurance company. I do not walk the planet without liability insurance anymore,,,,,,,,,although now we own our own home, so we have home owners.
