Recently rec'd 2-T3's and 2 replacement coils from iVape.net. One works great and I love it. The other 3 heads do not have the internal eGo threads cut deeply enough to allow the center post to make contact. I have submitted a ticket at iVape and I will keep you all updated.

Prayers sent for those in the path of this storm. It looks like a beast!!

I brought this foward for a heads up. I heard from iVape to the effect that the thread issue was supposed to be fixed. They are looking into it.

Well, after gettin' my fill of chlorophyll out in da back yard post my K3 (aka 12th highest peak) fiasco, I actually tested a 'real' Kanger T3.

Must say that's quite a nice vape. Not near as cool as an earlier bottom coil clearo I sampled at a local gathering. Great vapor and very nice flav. No leaks thus far, easy to fill and NO dry hits!

Verdict? Gonna load up a couple more with diff flavs for an extended vape drive! So far, so good...

Let me know if you have any problems with the tube cracking...really thinking about trying these.

Well my new SS ZMax arrived today. It is a very nice looking Mod and appears to be very well made. I was afraid I wouldn't like the one button control and menu system. That has proved to be true. I don't like that setup at all and is very confusing for me. I guess if I would have had a VMax or Provari first it wouldn't be a problem. I like the three button system much better like I have on my LT's and Gripper. Maybe I'll get used to it and keep it but most likely will sell it in the classified forum. I really like the looks and feel though so we will see if I can get comfortable with the settings.
:tumble:

When I got a Provari, I thought all I'm doing is pressing the button and it was confusing trying to remember how many clicks for what function. But I got used to it pretty quickly. Yeah, the Gripper & LT w/ multi buttons are a bit more convenient, but give the Z-Max a chance, I hear they're pretty nice and I think the one you got has the newer menu system.

Fran or anyone else using IKV 801 'Punched' Fusions,

What tank are you using w/ his pre-punched carto's. The description says the holes are 10.5mm from the air ring. I use Smoketeck DCT tanks and I measure the tank's end cap at 10mm thick. I'm concerned the pre-punched Fusions, may not work with DCT tanks - the hole might not fully clear the end cap.

Well I ruined my first coil Saturday. I took it apart and was suprised that it was completely covered with a brown crust. I chipped some off and checked it out and it's sugar. I had been letting my nova run down to about half empty before filling it up. The wicking system might work but it allows the crystals to build up on the coil if the ejuice is sweet. I was useing a 50/50 mixture with 2.4 ohm head at 4.3 volts. I now have to clean the nova every other day to keep this from happening. Maybe I should have been cleaning it more often. I can't wait till the T3s get here. I think with a bottom feeder it should keep the coil submurged and I can use it a little more before cleaning. I'll still have to keep an eye on the voltage. I should have been listening to ya'll a little closer. I'm learning the hard way.

With the clearo, I'd clean and dry burn after ever use. This sounds like a pain but not really since I have about 75 that I got in use. Bulk cleaning and dry burns.
With the Vivi Nova and T2 I put it off longer since it's so easy to refill. Still once it starts taking some effort to get a draw off them, I clean and dry burn them.

Doing the dry burn is something that worries me about the bottom feeders since I don't think that I can see the coil.

Mike I use Liquinator tanks but I slot my own fusions with a dremel.

Is it really ruined? When my coil is really gunked up I rinse it well, blot the wick with a paper towel and then do a bunch of dry burns by holding in the button for 5 second bursts and blow it off between each burn. Keep doing that until you see the coil glowing red. Should be fine unless it truly is shot. I wouldn't think it would be after only 2 days.

Well I'm going to clean the Novas every day. I have 4 Novas so cleaning is not a problem. I think when the air gets to the coil that's when the crystals form. I'll get 5 more heads for back up, just incase. Thanks for the info.

I think Mike said that putting a VERY thin layer of cotton over them helps keep them clean.

That's right. I find though that the tiny "bunny" tail works very well. You just have to be careful to make it small because it expands quickly when it absorbs the juice. When I take off the head to clean it I just throw it away and put in a new one - or not. They seem to catch some of the gunk.

I think the Vivi Nova is the easiest to dryburn of all the clearos I've used. It will burn all the sugar gunk off in a couple of minutes. There are some good videos on dryburning if you haven't tried it yet.
My Vivi Novas last for months. In fact I haven't had to throw away a coil head yet. I don't use many dark or sweet juices though so I'm sure that makes some difference. I use mostly menthol 70/30 PG/VG though and it doesn't gunk them up as quick as other juices.

Thanks Mike I'm going to give myself a few days to master it because I really do like the way it vapes and looks. I haven't figured out the VW yet and need to read up on it a bit before I throw in the towel. lol The symbols and letters dont make much since though and might as well be written in Chinese. lol

Thanks for the info. The coil was as solid as a rock. I had to work to get a piece chipped off. No problem, I'll rebuild it once I learn how and can get the kanthal wire. I haven't done any dry burns because I never tried and was afraid I'd burn it up. But listening to ya'll I'm going to give it a try. I'll see what happens. The one with the cotton, I'll have to check and see if I can find a tutorial video on it. Bunny tail???????

I got my new battery charger yesterday, actually 2 new battery chargers a pila and a less expensive one as a back up, I ordered them saturday morning from provape and with the prioriaty shipping recieved them Monday morning, ordered 4 more batteries since I was paying for shipping any way. Lesson learned! Glad i had the ego's as back ups, I have lots and lots of twist batteries. I also got the T3 and so far I can't tell the difference in the vape quality compared to the T2's, I love the T2's, have no issues with dry hits or leaking and the new heads are only $.99-1.89 depending on where you order them, the T3's are new so the replacements are more. I wonder if they will figure out a way to just replace the head on the T3 instead of the entire thing?

I dry burn my T2 heads and have only replaced one in 2 months. The bunny ball is just a small, very small piece of cotton balled up and placed on top of the coil and wicks, do not dry burn this just throw it away and replace.
