Welcome to the thread br5495! It does look like you are now the senior citizen and hope you visit often or make it a daily visit like most of us do. I'm sure many will benefit from your expertise. Sorry to hear about your health probs but I guess it comes with the territory. I can empathize with you being as I just spent two weeks in the hospital for the first time of being in one in my 72 years.

Hello 'br' - welcome and it's nice to meet one of the early innovators. I 'loved' your juice bottle feeder setup. hmmm? How could I adapt that to my RBA?

Welcome back to ECF and welcome to our little piece of it. A GLV and tank is still a pretty darn nice setup. Hang around here and you'll likely see a lot of the latest and greatest gadgets on the market.

Ok I'm a procrastinator, but I finally left my comments on the gov site about the FDA regulation hearing.

And, I ran across this petition with a cut-off date Feb. 13th.

Prevent the FDA from regulating or banning the sale and use of electronic cigarettes, accessories and associated liquids

Petition signed and teeth gritted over thinking that the same bureaucratic toads that would allow big tobacco free reign would have the audacity to even consider eliminating e-cigs. Somethin' smells a little rotten here.

Welcome - to all the other new to the thread folks. Looks like a lot of you have been around a lot longer than I have. I am just happy that I found ECF and this thread. It lead me to the eGo Twist and to quitting - after smoking for 46 years. Lots of great folks hang out here

ETA: Not sure about us Canadians signing the petition - but I did sign a Canadian one petitioning against the ban in Canada. Hopefully we can get them to listen across the world - since it looks the the are EU have issues too.

Looks like you have lived a few years longer than txtumbleweed so that makes you the senior member (age wise) of our ever growing group. I am sure tx will be along in a bit to welcome you. Looks like you're right. I've lived a few years longer than tx, but at our age a few years don't make much difference.

Well tx, I'm a beat up old man nowadays, but I don't regret paying the price for all those good times that got me this way.

Did you vape during your hospital stay? I did, even though it's not allowed in the ones I was in. During one of my stays, the nurses in ICU even kept my batteries charged. But then, the contraptions I build don't look anywhere near like an e-cig and I just tell everyone it's an electronic vaporizer. Maybe that explanation just works for old men. I don't know.

Yep br I vaped the whole time except for the first day I was in ICU but had a nic patch then. I had two big mods, a 18650 Zmax and a MPV box mod and told them the same thing that they were nicotine vaporizers. I kept them on my tray and recharged them myself when I was able to get up after a couple of days. I never asked about their policies regarding them because I was afraid if they had to state it that it would be negative.

It included charger/batteries/carts/extension etc and winners were also given a 1 year subscription to ecf. That's a pretty impressive and generous thing for him to do! (Hubby gave me the DUD with the pyrex tank) :

IT'S HERE!!! I have a Pretty Purple ProVari Mini. It's all warmed up and hubby (Mike E3) set me up with a DUD with a pyrex tank from Ibtanked. I've named it Petra because its kind of like a pet that I'm going to have to take care of.

Yes, they do make a purdy purple. I gotta say though that the drawing listed a black full size one. Digimon said he hadn't ordered it yet and wanted to know what color display I wanted so I asked it he could make it a mini in purple instead with the blue display and he immediately ordered it. I think we were notified last Friday (?) and I have it already which means that ProVape sent it to him and he in turn mailed it to me. Geeze, he must have run to the post office! He seems to be a really nice person because he knew that the winners would be anxious to get their prizes. Right on his site it says

Deej's mission: Do right by people, and bring smiles to faces everywhere.
