... so hard to explain everything to my older sister over the phone.

'Teaching' PV care over the phone can be a witch with a capital B! Tried that once and elevated my BP. Especially if the 'student' is not familiar with mech/electro devices and/or is medicated/tipsy.

Got a call from my converted sister a couple of days after I first got her set up. She said she had to stop using her drip tip 'cause it kept falling off. Couldn't see what she was doing wrong over the phone. She said she had it inserted all the way. It just wouldn't stay on. A few days later I went to see her. She was only inserting it up to the o-ring. she definitely isn't mechanically minded at all. There definitely is a learning curve to this but in the end it is so worth it. She is now smoke free and is loving it.

Waves at everyone :) First batteries...all batteries can blow up, be it your car battery, tractor battery, lawn mower battery, cordless drill batteries, e-cig batteries, camera batteries that you use a charger for and so on. The potential is there. My neighbor has had a tractor battery blow up, we've had a car battery blow up....but it's not often, but it can happen. In other words if it's a battery of any kind it can happen. But I'm not going to go paranoid and quit using my passthrough batteries. Hey I like them, have had all three over a year now and they're still running just fine. I tend to charge them and then vape w/o them being connected to the USB port but sometimes I do use them that way. Like right now because I have 4 batteries I can't charge because the charger died :/ New chargers are in the mail....had bought one right before Xmas from Mad Vapes and that dude died in 3 weeks :( My old one that it replaced lasted almost a year.

Thank you Janet. I am going to pass this link on to my sister. She lives in Oregon. Try as I might I can't get her interested enough to give vaping a try. I wish I could afford to just buy her and her hubby each a starter kit and just send it to them. They live on a very fixed income so are afraid to invest in the equipment necessary to get started for fear it won't help them and will be wasted money. I was able to give my starter stuff to my youngest sister and she is doing really well with it. She has now bought herself a better battery and is no longer a smoker. With her it was easy to show her how everything works because she lives near by but it is so hard to explain everything to my older sister over the phone.
Maybe hearing that the state is even thinking about doing something like this will open her eyes to a better option. I can only hope.

It's so much easier to be able to show somebody. I've tried it 3 times via emails and have given up trying to do that. At least if you saw her once in awhile it would help.

If Bloomburg can get his state to ban salt, trans fats and soda size, this can't be too far behind. I think Old C might be right about this right now though. Still it's scary to see how much so many things are being regulated. Very troubling.

My concern is all our favorite vendors would be taxed and regulated within
an inch of their lives, and won't be able to stay above water. The only
survivor will be big tobacco with a stranglehold on juice production.

Maybe I'm wrong I'm just ranting.

Worse still it would crush the DIY suppliers.

After reconsidering all of my options, I decided to go ahead and order 1000ml of 100mg nic. I got a newsletter from vapingzone and a 10% off coupon code. The coupon is 10off for anyone interested. The total was 107.95, free shipping. I have heard their nic is good. Bring on the hazmat suit!! I'm gonna cut it down to 50mg before freezing. That'll eventually make us about 5600ml of 18mg juice when all is said and done.

I have worked with 100mg nic before. I read all of the info I could. I wore nitrile gloves, a plastic apron, covered my countertop with plastic sheeting, and wore eye protection. No one else home, no tv on, no radio, no distractions. I didn't spill a drop, and I was glad when it was over. Threw away the plastic sheeting just in case.

I learned a cheap lesson with my first nic juice at 36 mg. I wasn't using gloves and some got on my hands when transferring to smaller bottles. I didn't wash my hands until I was finished, about 20 minutes and was high, I mean mind bending high, for a couple of hours. This was only 36mg nic juice, I can't imagine if I was working with 100 mg nic juice

I would also like to point out that this is what happens when California "progressives" flood
into your state. They don't call this place The Nanny State for nothing!

Saw it on the news last night and my response was "Isn't that the place where they just legalized ________?" Some seriously dysfunctional folks there.

Well, it's really cold, no doubt about it... I'm really cranking the woodstove and it's doing it's job, thankfully. Poor hubby is out delivering mail all day in one of those mail trucks, so he feels like an icicle when he gets home.

Wow! Go Jewels!! I think we're going to be set as long as nobody inspects our freezers! Keep your trench coat handy just in case. I hope it's heated!! How are you making out with this cold?

I advocate always using nitrile, or latex gloves at all times when handling nicotine base. I'm allergic to latex! Just the smell of it makes me sick to my stomach, sand gives me a head ache. I didn't know for a long time why when I was growing up, bubble gum made me ill.

As an adult, I once worked for Super Bubble Bubble Gum, and found that one of the main ingredients is latex!
Bubble gum ingredients: Latex, beeswax, high dextrose, and artificial flavoring.

Colorado is the state you're thinking of. Wouldn't you think one of these states would start pushing vaping as a healthier alternative?
Isn't Oregon where assisted suicide is legal or am I thinking of the wrong state?
