Rat, I'm not sure which cartomizers you like to use, but here is a great place for several different brands - they have great prices and FREE shipping with a minimum order of $5. I've ordered from them, and service is great also.

Welcome to Sure Vapes LLC !

I've found ECX has a huge selection of flavors, nic, PG & VG with good pricing and reasonable shipping - free shipping if order is $60 or more. If you sign up for their newsletter, they regularly give you a coupon code to save you $

    http://www.ecigexpress.com/

I like MFS also and have ordered from them several times as well. I just don't like the $5.95 shipping LOL and it's kinda hard for me to meet the min for free shipping of $75. Their service is really good though, and my orders from there get here lightening fast - they are really close to me. I would drive up there just to see it if gas wasn't so expensive hehe.

WOW..my4jewels! You are a walking miracle. I'm so glad you got on the e-cigs totally! Congratulations! I smoked for 28 years and quit on April 11, 2009 as well as my boyfriend who smoked for 39 years. We didn't know about e-cigs at that time so we quit using the chantix medication. 2 years later I relapsed and I had heard of e-cigs by then. My boyfriends sister in Utah was using them so I called her and she told me all about it. I bought my first ego-T kit at a local vapor shop and within 2 weeks I was smoke free again. Yay! My boyfriend didn't relapse but he was diagnosed with COPD over a yr and a half ago and is on oxygen. He vapes now too. it was hard for him seeing me do it all the time. His lung doc said he would rather he didnt inhale anything but his copd meds in his lungs, but would rather he do the vaping then smoking cigs. unfortunatly he struggles with his breathing and also has to do breathing treatments 4 times a day and can't do things he used to do so he is very disabled by smoking. I wish we would have listened to our doctors and quit earlier but we did try and try and try to quit, but always relapsed. I still like the ego-T but with a 1100 mah battery and 6ml dct tank and cartomizers.;)

I'm 57 and smoked for most of my life since I was about 14. I tried quitting many times with no success. I quit smoking cigs the first day I started vaping once I got a decent APV. I started out with a basic Cig2O, which was just so so, and have gradually upgraded to what I have now, which is a Vision Spinner 1300mah with CE4 clearomizers. I have some Baby Kanger T3s also, but not sure yet whether or not I like them.

Hi kariM. I get what you mean about seeing all the neat stuff that tempt us to spend more money. I like to keep it simple as possible and as inexpensive as possible. I have to stay in a budget for low income. I order most of my supplies like cartomizers, nico liquid, flavor drops,VG, PG ect online at Best Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com I will order my stuff and then the next day i will see a sale on some of the stuff I ordered. Bummer! I look for coupon codes too at www.retailmenot.com If you know of any other website that sells stuff for vaping and is inexpensive and good, let me know. Cheers!:vapor:

Hello and welcome to terirose and rat61. Thanks for coming in and sharing your stories. Please do hang around and join in the chat and fun we have around here.

OMG I went ahead a ordered an AGA-T2 from the co-op Mike. Now what else do I need?????????????????

Well golly-gee Fran, I'm glad someone else around here doesn't have the will power to resist the co-ops. I haven't even setup the ones I got today, and I'm already tempted to get a couple of the dripping rebuildables. My brain is rationalizing that Janet could use them for DIY tasting.

You'll need to pick up some Kanthal A1, 32 or 30 awg. The 32 is a bit easier to wrap when getting started, but most folks (me included) are using the 30 awg. The 30 is a little fatter in diameter and has less resistance per inch. It lets you wrap more coils (so there's more wire touching the wick) and still keep the Ω's at a reasonable #. Either will really do for getting started. I also suggest going with the 500 SS mesh. It's a little more money than 400 but wicks any pg/vg ratio of juice better than 400.

I've been keeping an eye on the petition numbers, and we have over 17,200 siggies now.

I so hope we can reach 25,000 by the 13th.

Since I signed it on the 24th, we've had an additional 3k siggies, so if it keeps up, we may just make it. Thing is, how much clout does it really have even if we do make quota!

More than if we don't make quota

As to being tempted to spend more money because of things I learn about here, I'm guilty as charged. Kat informed us of the new ego t/c mod control unit that can use a 18350 tube. These smaller mods are my favs because I can carry them in my shirt pocket.

Left to right: mini VTube from Apollo, the new ego t/c mod (18350) and my old standby the XL3 from DV.

Here's where I got the ego mod controller and tube: Joyetech eGo-T/C 2 Upgrade Mod Control Unit I'm running it in 3.3v mode and find it works very well with a 1.8 ohm Kanger T3

Way cool ~ you even found another vendor with the new control unit. Thanks so much for sharing the link! The XL3 is similar to the eGo-T but with more variable settings, right?

Oh and btw that is one spiffy lookin VTube! Mine is silver, but I think I like your black one better :D

MichaelB, I just now remembered you asked about Peppermint, and Ken told ya he's been using TFA. That is the one I use too - haven't tried any others cuz I got some great advice before spending any money.

The TFA/TPA is awesome - I make mine at 12%. If you like Peppermint, I would get the big bottle :D Very yummy stuff!

@Whiplash - sorry I missed welcoming you. Glad to have you join and I guarantee this group will help spend your money :D

@MikeE3 - Nice new toys - but I did not really look

@Ken - I am glad to hear that the TFA Peppermint is good - I ordered some last Friday. I have to agree on the syringes and VG - I think I will have to look for a larger gauge blunt needles than I currently have.

@Rat - welcome to the group. Glad that you found a way to get off smoking. I also imagine that even if vaping is not the best for your boyfriend - it has to be better than smoking. My best friend has COPD and has been smoking for 50 years - I am very afraid she is going to end up on oxygen real soon - but she won't even try vaping :( She keeps saying that she will quit soon - but keeps trying with nicorette lozenges and gum (she also tried Chantix - but that did not work out too well for her either).

@Kat - no no I didn't want to look. But all that excitement made me  now I have to ask how are these different than the MT3s? It might be a good thing that they don't have purple...

Kari on the eVod, Vapor Joe says: This works on the same system as the T3 but now has smaller replaceable heads that will bring down the costs. Lord Davon really likes them. The capacity is less than the MT3 - they are like a mini MT3 with rebuildable replacement heads :)

It's bottom coil like the T3 but instead of the replacement head being all one piece, it can be broken down and only the actual coil replaced so it will cost less. I've resisted trying a T3 or MT3 because I knew these were coming. That is one reason I've stayed with the T2 - I love the low cost of use on them. I'm not ready to purchase the eVod YET, because I will for sure want to wait and see how much the replacement heads are, but I'm very excited.

Oh, and I wanted to let everyone know I got my new 5 longer wick version of the T2 replacement heads (I found out these are actually version 3, even though the vendor calls them version 2) and have been using 1 for about a week now. For me, it's a big improvement because they don't gurgle every time I turn around, and don't need to rolled around to keep them feeding. Yay, I hate gurgling. In a week, this thing has only gurgled twice I think.

Syringes are all I use! For everything. I have a 1 ml, 3 ml, 5 ml, and 10 ml. Blunt tips on all of them.

I use my small beakers when I need to measure 20-50 mls and my 5 cc syringe with a large needle. Recently I got a couple 10 cc syringes and love them, only using the 5 cc ones to fill tanks now. So now I'm thinking a 20 cc might be even better. Have you used any of those? Iffy uses them and I should have listened and got some.

MichaelB, sorry I took so long to get back to you. Yesterday I was prepping for a routine medical procedure and today it's over so back i business ow.

Yes, that thread did seem to be anti RTS, but I've never had a problem with them. I've never had to contact them so I wouldn't be able to speak to individual customer service, but I'd speak right up if I had a problem. That's pretty important to me. I immediately get a order confirmation email and always got notified that my order has been sent for shipment within a few hours. My 60mg nic arrives packed very well, it's crystal clear and I haven't noticed an odor although I wasn't checking for one. I'm not sure it's a good idea to be sniffing 60 mg nic anyway. I haven't noticed a peppery taste, but then the nic gets diluted with VG and flavors. I don't profess to have an especially sensitive nose or taste buds, but would think that's a matter of opinion anyway. Lab tests would seem to be much more accurate. So far I've been happy with my orders.

I based my initial order with them after reading a post by Kurt who has been a chemist for 30 years. His lab analysis showed the RTS nic was one of the vendors to be accurate for nic content as labeled. Evidently there was a problem with a vendor (BoxElder) sending an order for nic that was WAY higher than it should have been so he checked several samples from different vendors. That was over a year ago, but if you do an advanced search for nicotine safety etc there's a lot of good reading there.
