Fran,

Thanx to Janet's long ago post, how 'bout some Janet's Heaven:

Since the two individual flavs below are also my daily vapes, I mix each flav independently and then combine 50/50.

Blueberry (VZ Super Concentrate) at 2.5%.
Pear (TPA) at 12%.
1 drop lemon juice per 3ml joose. And no, you do not taste the LJ.

This sounds yummy I'm gonna make sure I order pear next order the lemon juice.... Real LJ or flavor? Don't wanna sound stupid but I'm new at DIY joose mixology ans the flavors are almost as endless as the setups.... Lol

Gloria - this post was just so organized, it reminded me of being back in the office and reading one of those infamous executive summaries before heading off to a meeting.

 Can I use you as a reference when I apply for a job as an executive secretary...at a company that allows vaping in the office?

I already know that my taste buds are never totally coming back. I also know that when I vape through one device a certain juice taste muted, but through another device it blows my taste buds out of the water. To do this the right way I would need different mixes for different devices.

Same with nic levels. For example with these T3's - I cannot taste a very powerfully mixed coffee / brandy mix that is powerfully flavorful in my cartos, but at the same time - the 18mg mixture is to strong in the T3's and is just right in he cartos...

These complications are one of the reasons that I gave up on finding nirvana with my juices. I have tried it and I can not vape plain juice in my T3's, but I could in my cartos... I will always need at least something to cut the plain taste of nic liquid...

That's why I use only one kind of carto, and one level of nic. All of my mods are VV or VW, and I just change that if needed. I could never keep track of which flavors go into which juice goes into what. I have around 3 dozen flavors rotating depending on my mood. If I feel like using a certain mod I can use it with any juice I have because every tank is the same with the same carto.

I may have spent some moolah on my mods, but I haven't spent money on any of the newer gadgets. All of my juice is diy, so I invested in the mods I wanted.

@MikeE3 _ Thanks Mike - The stalking photo is great. I had to dig around a while to find the mail box.
mailbox-buried-in-snow-246x185.jpg
When I finally found it I realized I get mail at the Post Office. So much for the snow fort to ambush the mail lady! It should be here Sat. or Monday!! Either way I am out of town until Sunday. My wife and I are going for a weekend getaway, and shopping spree. I talked my son into checking the Post Office Saturday for me. Just in case!

@Kat56 - I recieved the last of my Sample juices, bottles and will mix up a batch on Monday! Need to look for a couple of funnels on our shopping trip plus some Lydia Bamboo thread.

@Gloria The Bahama Mama looks interesting. I copied it to try after I make it out of the beginners DIY class.

@Iffy - Thanks for re-posting Janet's Heaven. I never thought I would be DIY'ing. I have been coping and pasting a lot of great info into word doc's lately.

@JanetH - Let me know what you think of the Cherry Vanilla. I do like them both!

@tdavids, @vernhall, @inquiring mind - Welcome! Sit back read, vape, relax and enjoy!

Oh my I go away for a week and there are a whole lot of new folks joining. That is great "Welcome" - glad to see you all here.

I am 58 yrs old, smoked for 46 years and pretty much quit 3 weeks after starting to vape with a cigarette like e-cig when I got my eGo Twists.

@xcigs - congratulations on being over a year not smoking

@ NatashaR - I hope you get your vape order soon or already have it and love it as much as I did.

@ Fullknight - looks like you have been vaping for a while to have that many PVs, welcome.

@Boni - congratulations to you and your husband. My husband has never smoked, but fortunately he has been real supportive of my vaping and all the "buying" that has been going on. We will see how he does once I get started on DIY - maybe I will have to do my mixing while he is at work :)

@Mpage - the folks on this thread are so helpful - so yes you have come to the right place to get started in the DIY - they sure helped me get past the fear of trying. Now if I can actually create something vapable (is that a word?) then they might have to all get an award.

@ inquiring mind - lots of good advice from others that struggled. This is a great group here. Good luck on getting the mustang - I never thought to a try for a prize. Wonder if it is too late now?

@tdavids - congratulations on not smoking for over a month. There are so many choices out there - I sure hope you will find one that works for you. I love my Twist and Spinner and the Vivi Nova. The Kanger T2 and T3 are usually pretty good - when they are not gurgling :D

@verhall - congratulations on getting down to just a few cigs a day. Hopefully, you will be able to get rid of those soon too.

@PaulCincy - nah I don't think 60 is old. Great that you have been vaping 3 years. That is a long-time and really does give me hope that this can work long-term!

Wow - you all sure have been busy this past week. Took me two days to get caught up :) , half the night to do this reply and I still have the Older People 55 and Up to get through yet. Ok - so this is going to be long...... cause you have all sure been busy.
I'mmmmmm backkkkkkkk Huge (((((((((((Hugs))))))))))) to everyone and howdy to the folks I don't know. Finally got this silly computer online. Sure have missed y'all!!!!
Hi Deb - I am new since you have been away - but after reading through the entire thread - I do want to say welcome back.
I'm back and got a few questions...
Welcome back to you too Semi
My VAD* is acting up again. Those Phiniac tanks sure are slick.:p
*Vaping Acquisition Disorder
OC - I am really trying hard not to catch this disorder - although when reading this thread - it might be unavoidable
Good morning, all......oops, it's afternoon!
I'm such a newbie to DIY that I allowed it to overwhelm me, so I've decided to concentrate on getting the nic and freezing it, and I'll learn how to mix later when I'm more relaxed. I know it's easier for some folks than others, and I'm afraid that I'm one of the 'others'.....LOL
Anyway, that's where I am right now, and now dh and I are going out for a nice brisk walk in the sun while it's still out.
Flowersoul - I am not only a newbie to the DIY - but to vaping. I did get a lot of my DIY supplies a few weeks ago - then my taste buds went on strike. Since they are still not working great - I have been just waiting on getting started with the DIY too. I think it makes a lot of sense to wait until it feels right for you.
Oh my goodness, I just noticed a little personal milestone that is sure no big deal to some of you here, but it struck me as pretty awesome considering my slow start...I've avoided over ten thousand cigarettes! Ten thousand!!! Wow! That's a lot, right? Like, 500 packs? 50 cartons? Holy (non) smokes!!! Over a period of 200 days! I feel good! I think I will go DIY myself up something awesome to celebrate! Things sure change huh? Whoopee!!! And a thanks to all of you for your help and support, you are all the bestest!!! ((((((HUGS))))))
Congratulations Charlie - that is a great milestone.
I also see that there was a lot of Peppermint vaping going on - must have been contagious - since that is primarily what I have been vaping the past week. Seems like it was the only flavor I could actually taste :p

When Mike smoked a pipe he had a cherry tobacco that I thought smelled wonderful. Maybe that's what I need to add to his tobacco flavors to help - if the cherry flavor is detecable in the vapor. It's funny, but I really don't like what his vaping smells like most of the time. You'd think after smoking for so many years that it wouldn't bother me. The tobacco vaper does not smell like cigarettes, and it's very different than how it tastes. I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke except that first puff, when the cigarette is first lit. That still smells wonderful to me. Seems strange. Other flavors of vaping smell wonderful and even other people seem to like some of the flavors.
Janet - I didn't think I would ever get to where I would be able to smell again - but after travelling with my friend who smokes - I guess I am now actually smelling again and you are right - it sure does not smell good.

I am still not smelling the vapor to well - but it is funny because the smoking friend did tell me that the peppermint I was vaping smelled better than the Black Honey Tobacco. She said the tobacco vape did not actually smell bad - but if I was wanting to stealth vape I would be better to go with the peppermint :) I just couldn't tell her how bad her cigarettes were smelling though......

I'm almost three weeks in without an analog. Last night while I went out with some friends. The bar we were in was very smoky and all of my friends smoke. I bummed an analog from a friend and shared it with another. I found it to be disgusting, very heavy and bad tasting. The taste stayed in my mouth forever. Just wondering if any former smoker ever slips up and has an analog?
I would feel bad about it but I wanted to just try one and see. I'm content with vaping and don't want to switch back, and trying the analog completely reaffirmed that.
Unc - I was 2 months and one week without an analog - then went to Vegas last week with one of my best friends that smokes. So - I have to admit to having a few over the 5 days we were there - but not one of them tasted any good. I actually had one last one at the airport - and it was definitely tough being in the enclosed smoking room at the airport.

I was worried about the going to Vegas and the smoking - but now that I have been and tried a few analogs - I think I really am done with the smoking. I was definitely a little concerned that if I weakened in Vegas and smoked I would be right back to smoking - just because I loved smoking and did not actually intend to quit when I started vaping.

So, in my case I guess it was good that I tried a few and have now confirmed that they do not do anything for me. Nothing but vaping since I have been home and no desire at all for another one. Congratulations on your 3 weeks and for reaffirming that you are done with the analogs.

Awesome! Thanks so much Gracie...running to Altsmoke to window shop :D I will not buy anything, I will not buy anything, I will not buy anything. Deep breath....
Flowersoul said:
Since I like the smaller PVs, this one is 650 mah.........got it at AltSmoke.com

I actually like it better than the Twist.......the Twist seems to run out of power a lot quicker than the Spinner! The Twist is also 650 mah.

But it sure is pretty - I just know I can't justify ordering from the states with what they are now charging for shipping - so until one of the Canadian vendors gets these in - I am saved from ordering one - but it sure is pretty

Has anyone seen the new Kanger Protank? It is like a T3 but is made of glass and looks like a stainless tip.
Kanger protank - YouTube
Oh no - not another one  I guess it is a good thing that the vendors up here seem to be slow getting a lot of these new devices - keeps me on my budget restrictions :)

My Purple Spinner with Purple MT3
purple001_zpse1348dcc.jpg
Fran - now we are almost twins - I love mine too, but it is a 900 mAh - sure is pretty :)

@Janet - congratulations on the 10,000 post

Well - I sure hope these darn taste buds of mine get sorted out soon - all this talk of great tasting juices has me itching to do some DIY and I still have several readymade juices I have been waiting to try - including a cranberry. Since my favorite late night non caffeinated tea is a Cranberry/Apple - I have been wanting to try to mix something up with those two flavors.

Now just like with the devices - you all have to go talking about great new flavors and now I want to go and order a bunch more  let's see. Pomegranate, Orange/Mandarin, Pineapple, Strawberry, Banana, Coconut, Mango, Black Cherry, Pina Colada, Dragon fruit and I am sure I must be missing probably a dozen more. This is not good - must stop reading - must not order more flavors until I have tried what I already have - maybe I just need to go back to Vegas  oh and Pomegranate with Apple does sound really yummy :)

Good news is I have some Capellas Apple Pie and Apple - so there are at least two I don't have to add to my list wish. I also have some Pear and Blueberry - but the small sample I first tried - I could not taste - but of course that is when my taste buds first went on strike.

Oh Oh - maybe my DIY killed them

Got to get a couple flavors and I'll be sure to let you know. Chances of liking it aren't real good. Maybe I shouldn't put it that way cause I really like many fruit flavors just have no desire to vape them.

That is funny  I feel that way about Coffee, Chocolate and Vanilla. I really love them to eat and drink - but do not like vaping them. I think I would enjoy the fruit flavors if I could actually taste them. Might have to stick with the Peppermint for awhile longer.

Iffy this is great - I had note to ask for this - once I finally get at some mixing. Now I don't have to ask Thanks.

Janet mixed up some Pear last week and it's basically all I've been vapin' since. I think it's finally broken the hold tobacco flavors have had on me.
Pear and apple sounds good. Janet are ya listening?
Maybe start off with a shot of Peach Snapps to relax your taste buds then get start on taste testing the new fruit flavs.

Ok - also need a note to try Pear and Apple - that sounds good to. Oh and Mike do they have Peach Snapps flavoring or you just have to drink it?

Well I think this is definitely way to long - so time to quit.

What am I missing here Semi? It sounds like the T3s just aren't doing it for you flavor wise. So why keep using them? I'm not trying to be a brat...I'm just curious. :)

Maybe, but the vapor they produce and the fact that I can use a lower nic level is why I am using them so much.

Earlier when I lowered the nic to 12mg I increased my vaping to 5 - 6ml a day so I had to go back to 18mg to keep my level under 3ml, but with the T3 I can vape 12mg easily and stay under 3ml - for me vaping less volume and less nic is important - flavor I can adjust.

I currently still have some old gear (atty's, cartos, etc...) and I am trying a few new things that are rebuildable. I can always adjust the recipes to the device and I will once I settle down on the final liquid delivery device. My end goal is to find something that gives me the best of all worlds.

For flavor - cartos are the best for me, but they do not last long, are not rebuildable, and I have to vape at a higher nic level or a greater volume.

I hope this all makes sense...

I would like to add to my post above with a question.

Has someone used both the T3 and the Mini Nova? Can you give a descriptive detail of the difference in them as far as vaping goes? How does the vapor feel, is one warmer or cooler, is one pepperier, does the flavor come through in one better than the other, how well do they hold up compared to each other, etc. etc. etc. I have thought about trying the Mini Nova and I do plan on trying that Glass Kanger tank once it comes out. I am just trying to avoid have 30 different bits and pieces of devices around the house all at one time. That is what I have now and I am trying to burn through them all.

I guess I am trying to settle down and simplify my vaping - that is also important to me... Spend more time camping.

Most of them have some degree of sweetness. I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but, instead of going "all out" fruit, why don't you try some fruit in a plain tobacco? Personally, I think the blueberry or cherry would be nice. Janet's Heaven, which would be 50% blueberry, 50% pear is very nice. I find that SC blueberry is one of the smoother flavors.

Any that aren't too sweet..........

I'm thinking the addition of a little menthol or peppermint. I bought some Harvest Fruit from Capella's and it's very good but it just sat there cause I had no desire to vape it. I added a little menthol and now I'm vaping it.
