I thought about that...being maybe too much. At the 7% I can finally smell the Kona and am letting it steep. Didn't up it any more because I found a recipe that uses the 7%. Kona is a strong flavor and even what I bought from either Virgin or Sweet-Vapes had to steep at least two weeks for me to taste it. That may be the key to Kona. Steeping. It's beginning to get some taste to it now. Not over powering, but still some there. Been mixed about a week now so maybe aging (like fine wine) is the key LOL Thought I read somewhere in the DIY section that Kona needed 20 days to steep, but couldn't find it again. Then because this NF flavor is "Kona Cream" I thought maybe it was muted some, unlike TPA's Kona.

Janet I wish I had paid more attention and checked to see if maybe the base was not all the way screwed in and caused the leak. But no, i ran too fast to clean it up, so I'm not 100% certain. But I do think I'll remove it from my device in the evenings & set it on my bedside table. Going forward, I'll take care to make sure the bottom is screwed on good before leaving it for the night.

Kat, last night on another forum I read that some EVOD heads have a slight discrepancy thus causing leakage.
Just changing the head supposedly corrects this problem.

Thanks for that info Gracie. Fortunately that's a simple fix. I'm liking my EVOD and would hate to find out it had problems we'd have to deal with. I loaned my 2nd one to my friend who has been using just her cartos for a year now and is getting frustrated with having 1-2 out of each box not work right. Just got an email from her tonight saying she's a convert! Yay! My cartos worked OK, but it drove me crazy having to constantly refill them. I think she's discovering that for herself now.

It is so good to hear that you have finally found the perfect JDD for your friend. I want to recommend the perfect clearo to my older sister but up to this point everything I have tried has had some kind of problem. I am still really liking these little CE3 XL's. They have been the most reliable device I have found so have told her about them. I just pray that when she orders them the ones she gets will have been made on a good day. I heard from a reputable source that there was a bad batch come down the pike.

ugh...I am in trouble. :/ Hubby is absolutely 'livid' over how much I've spent. For my birthday he got me a cig-alike, and somehow figured that after 40+ years of smoking I would be 'quit' a month later, totally and completely. I ordered an upgrade kit (900mah) and some juice from HHV, and some carts to get me through til the upgrade and clearomizers and juice get here. How do I make him understand that you don't just get an ecig and voila you are done with nicotine (PAD smoker here) forever in less than a month? It doesn't seem to matter to him that the nicotine level is going progressively down, he wants me to be 'done' with it period. (he quit cold turkey 13 yrs ago and has been a pain in my A** ever since over smoking, let alone vaping) I should add, the cig alike is ONE battery, and he 'generously' threw in 5 cartos....no one can quit with THAT!

Molli, for whatever it's worth, I totally empathize with you! I'm in the same boat except mine does still smoke. He has quit in the past though, and it was done cold turkey, so for him, that is the only way. All this "futzing" around with e-cigs is just a crock to him, and a way to waste yet more money. You can see in my sig what I've saved so far, but apparently he doesn't get it. I DIY my own juice and if I spend $30 a month on supplies that's a lot, but to him it's too much. He is forever "quitting" should I criticize his hypocrisy! Can't win. He used to bum my smokes all the time so he could look like he wasn't smoking, so when I switched over 100% to e-cigs it put the pressure on him to buy his own, and he wasn't happy! LOL, so I guess the way he sees it, I am still forcing him to spend his money? I give up! Luckily my son helps out where needed so I can just let the old bass turd blow off steam! LOL! It is HIS problem, not mine. If he was a rational and caring adult he would be proud and happy for my progress, but he is just a pathetic child in that respect...and many others...but we won't go into that! LOL! We are doing what is best for us Molli, and be proud! Don't let his obvious issues discourage you. All of us here are pulling for you, I hope that counts for something! Char and Molli, one of the tactics used by Smoke Enders (and maybe others) is once you quit smoking, you get a jar and every time you would have bought a pack of cigarettes you have to put that amount of money in the jar. You literally get to see how much you're saving. Maybe you could do that and then hubby would see exactly what you're saving. AND you'd see if there's any money there that you could use to buy your supplies. Good luck with that, but it is an idea that might stop the complaining. I bet you wouldn't have to keep it up for long but you might have to figure out how to put a lock on it!

Well the nails are a security blanket in a way, at least for me but I'm pulling it off day by day.

Anyways, if your like some of us on this thread, you have enough PVs & tanks to open your own shop.
It could work out in his favor though avoiding spending all that cash (like I did) looking for that sweet spot.
Now I'm only using a Lambo & an MVP iTaste, and have sworn off any Ecig spending minus cartos, until
I get a nice, beautiful Billet Box in my greedy claws.

I'm doing the DIY gig too, another big money saver.

I think once I get a nice collection of "Juice" he will stop complaining. Right now having to shell out for prefilled cartos until the juice gets here and 'steeps'. I do agree I've spent more than I probably should this month, but I was getting 'started' and some of the juice vendors have quite a long lead time (AIV comes to mind..holding off on that one for now). Plus the el cheapo 808 cig alike he got me just isn't cutting it, so had to order a better unit. (900mAh, 510/ego thread and clearos )But this is also the man who will spend $40 on a PAPERBACK book because it's by "author so and so", and then complain about how much the 3 dogs food costs. He will drive an hour each way to take the littlest dog to the other vet to get her bad teeth pulled, pay the bill without complaint, and then gripe over how much the creamer for my coffee is. Meh, it is what it is, and after 31 yrs I'll keep him. Too much trouble to break in a new one.
Also, my order fom HHV including the new unit should be here TODAY!!! VAPEMAIL!!!!! I also have stuff coming from VapeDudes and FuZion..samplers, but still....its a start.

Wow..what a difference, and I think my Nic level might be too High on the clearo!!! 16mg on the carto is VERY different than 16mg on the clearo...So one full clearo should last me a LOT longer than the cartos have been, since I don't want the headache.

I also did a 'quick and dirty' drip on the new juice. used up carto, pull stuff out, drip into it, stick the plastic thingy back on (no drip tip..its on it's way) and vape. Not ideal, but ALL the HHV samples are great, even this way. Battery charging, and clearo's ready to go!

Mollie - great to hear that you are loving the new battery. When I started - I had a cigarette like small e-cig and then went to an eGo twist with a CE4 (stardust) clearomizer. Wow - I could not believe how strong the vapor hit and I also thought that the nic was too high. However, by the time my next order of juice arrived a week later - I was actually used to the difference. So - I just switched between the higher and lower levels of nic and have even now gone down mostly to 12mg.

I just wanted to mention that it might actually just be the more powerful battery and the clearo - but you will definitely need to decide if the nic is to high. So glad it is working for you

I'm thinking it's the battery and clearo. I filled one with a lower nic juice, same thing. Maybe this means I can go down to 6-8mg...oh that would be great! The HHV is 16mg, the 'other' is 11mg.

Your other post is mentioning the nic level possibly being lowered, and that's a good thing. I got all excited when I received a sample of 12mg and was more than OK with it. I usually do 18mg, so that made me very happy!

Experimenting is great! This is why I'm getting 'sample' sizes, and writing down what nic level from what vendor. I can go down a level or so on HHV with no problems at all. Will see if the others will let me do the same after I try them.

I got Vapemail too. I got my MT3's in from Hibi's co-op and they are nice! I also got another 900 mah auto ego battery from Mountain Vapor. They are the best auto Ego's I've found. I love the auto fat batteries but I've had a hard time fiding ego's that would work good and last until now. I've been using Echo autos for a couple of years and they work great but have 808 connection. Now I've found an 900 mah auto with ego threads that works as good as my echos if not better so I'm a happy vaper too!
