Thanks, glassgal!. The size of blank I need is a hair larger than the finished size. I hadn't posted that size on purpose. I want to have had a PM communication with anyone who's thinking of buying their own materials. Before you know it, stuff is just gonna be showing up at my door. I won't even know who sent it. It could be the wrong size, or a poor choice in materials. So, not posting the actual minimum dimensions for a blank was my way insuring that someone establishes contact before going whole hog. For now, I think I'll keep it that way.

Mr Dibby my wood is on it's way to you direct from IAB. Any info you need on shipping let me know. There's supposed to be a note in it to let you know who it's for.

Thanks for the heads up, ScandaLeX. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

just an FYI; generally speaking .. . . . if I find some material on my doorstep, and it leaves me scratching my head. I'll probably snap a photo and post it in the thread. Kinda' like a "found kitty" poster.

My wood showed up today! A beautiful piece of redwood burl. I wanted to check it out before it was sent to pdib...I thought seeing the before and after in person would be sweet. Looking forward to see what it looks like after pdib gets a hold of it!

the block is about twice as tall as what the end product will be.

That's a really good question too... which would be the best mod to use:)?

I don't have any box type mech mods... I have NOOOO idea what to get... O.O

I already have an Igo-F (which I don't love...), an ERA RDA, an old (but neat looking) Ego Esolid RDA for little RDA (and quite a few big RBA, and of course a gazillion glass carto tanks:)). The RDA, which I think is what is getting used here, all have pins that drive through the center that is the positive post... I have no idea how one of these is adapted to the Reo even, since if you pull that post out, you have no where to attach the wire for the positive contact? I don't know how that works, and have never tried. It's one reason I haven't gotten a Reo... not the vaguest idea what to do with it...

get a RM2 or an Igo from Rob at Reo… my 2c because i dont DIY… all you have to do is make a micro coil, wick it, and vape… (use
coil making safety rules of course)

Bottom feed design eliminates any thing "tank" related since the tank is the bottle of juice.

AFAIK the original bottom feeders were designed to take conventional disposable atomizers (which can be bottom fed because there is a channel in the pos post)… i was there. :) and still can, but we've gotten beyond that now. :)

edit… the added awesomeness of the awesome Dibby is that it is made to handle sub ohms atomizers (if thats your thing) and another thing: there are very few bottom feed rba's on the market; thus the talk about designing, modding rda's for b/f

That is beautiful! Do you mind if I ask where you got it?

That is gorgeous!

Does "about" mean almost or more than twice?
If more than you really must double your pleasure, double your fun!

I found my missing post! Drunk monkey posted in the wrong thread... Repeatedly...

Here is my text... Pictures are in previous response.

I know... I'm getting slow in my responses. I am reading, but life is beating me down. It's almost go-time here.

Anyways, here is what you were asking for:

I grooved the copper pin with a $5 dremel from harbor freight, and the top hole is 1/16" drilled at a 45 between the post and the base.

If I could do it again, I would have done a 1mm hole on each side of the post instead of the 1/16 on one side.

I also add this disclaimer: I do not know what adverse health effects could occur from vaping juice that is in contact w/copper. I have not noticed any change in my juice flavor, and used that for quite a while.

If you are concerned with the possible risks of copper + juice, I suggest getting a SS set screw to replace the copper.

Also, the atty I modded was the $90 Trident by Grand Vapor. From what I can see, the $10 clone from FT will not work like this. The $25? Clone from FT looks to be identical to the original.

Hope this helps.

that would be "almost" I wouldn't want two of the same anyway....there is too many beautiful pieces of wood out there to have duplicates:)
