i have been sticking to one brand in the Dibi, because when i throw anything in there i have to adjust the firing button throw and so on, which is not difficult, but it is something i can avoid.

I run Orbies in it - sx30s for me and PD2900s for the wife's less demanding coils. I use the Samungs and MNKEs in Reos, since they are the recommended batteries for those! (ok that was a lie but whatever!)

What's a year wait for an OliveR?

Way too darn long I say lol I blurt things out a lot, often without proper thought or research. I think you have done an outstanding job balancing quality, durability, functionality, and production time. :thumb:

And workmanship, class, taste, and style. A true artisan.

Wait. Aren't we talking about the inventor of the Dibby Crack?

Try the orthodontist, just wrote a check for 7k to get my 12 year old 30 months of braces followed by 36 months of retainers.
The irony is I am a teamster with a so called Cadillac plan, would hate to see a Ferrari plan!

I dodged a bullet there. My daughter loved me enough to wait until she was married to decide to get braces :) And she threw in a grandchild ;)

heh-heh. I know the Professional works good. A friend recently tried the gel for a similar type thing, and said he liked it. If you want, you can send them all to me and I'll test them and report back . . . . . . . .. (not). I actually usually "practice" placing the parts together (dry) a couple times, so that my hands know exactly what to do. At least, with something important, I do. So, you really only need about . . . . . 0.75 seconds of open time. Don't chintz on the holding time! Count to 60 (even tho the package says 15 or 30 or something) . . . and then increase the pressure a little and count another 30.

ha, I know some might and I know you would fix it too, but it ain't leaving my hand brother :) I just did it with the fastest professional one, it's drying in my grip right now, don't worry I'll hold it for 10 minutes even with the 5 second stuff :) I used to do a lot of superglue stuff from the hobby store, they had a range of viscosity and dry times, the thinner it is the faster it dries I think , this professional stuff is really thin :) I'm waiting for the skin to turn solid white to sand it now. I think i'm going to epoxy the bottom of the squonk chamber closed and reinforce this here while I'm at it :)

I picked up a slightly used BF Cyclone with an extra unaltered cap on a trade today, looking forward to run #7.
I may have to buy a Grand to hold me over.

Do it!!!! I did just that and got my grand today. Was hoping it would make the wait easier. I was wrong. Now I'm sold on bottom feeders. My kayfuns and tubes are going up for sale. It doesn't get any better than fresh juice on demand.:D

SPRING? . . . . .. what spring? :pervy:

Got the little ring magnets today. They fit perfect in the button after I scraped the recessed part clean of CA and just a very small about of material. I should have got some larger OD ones for the button well, but popped an o-ring around 2 of them in the well so they would center (2 so the o-ring wont float up). No need to attach them as the opposing action will keep them in place. BTW, it is very helpful to put a little black marker on the ring magnets on the sides that oppose each other, and these little things will jump a good 3 to 4 inches to mate if you get them too close to each other. Note that replacing the spring with magnets will not work right without the bypass strip I built between the 510 connector and contact.

Couldn't resist opening 2 more silver contacts to replace the battery positive screw and the screw in the base that connects the center pin even though everything was still working fine. Threaded the stems 6-32 and this time threaded them into a coupling nut and used a cut off wheel to grind down a little of the short section at the base of the contact that I couldn't thread last time and turned the die around backwards and finished the threads so they would go flush. The 6-23 threads in the base for the small brass screw were loose compared to the contact so I made another homemade helicoil, this time out of 27G R41 since that seemed to work best after trying numerous sizes of wire. Cut about 100 degrees out of a washer a hair thinner than the fuse arm to take up the empty space under the contact so it would be level. Now what to do with the 10-32 battery contact threads? Contemplated cutting the bottom a little larger and using a blind nut in the hole, but it came to me to just drill the existing brass screw, tap that hole 6-32, grind the head down due to the height of the silver contact. Had to remove the brass washer after I took this picture to further reduce the height. No Noalox applied anywhere now and we will see how it goes. I still might make a rod with the end threaded to take place of the center rod and eliminate the contact point at the bottom if needed.

Got to get to bed now and get up in 4 hours to get back to the grindstone.

......oh, and since I'm here, I'll share a pic of my dibidamage :( all's I did was drop it a little bit and then kick it a lill bit against the wall, all accidentally of course  so the moral here is, don't drop your dibi and then kick it into a wall

Ouch! Did the base fly off and then the body hit the wall breaking the piece off? I had a feeling I would break that part off sooner or later so I keep the base screw in thinking it might protect it.
