yeah, I'm sure with some Cyanoacrylate and sanding that will be repaired good as new, should be invisible too once it's sanded and polished. I'm sure this is not the last time I'll drop it too, I like this mod too much to just leave it home :) I think the lower screw in the cap will help it be a little less resistant to this kind of breakage but I'm sure most wouldn't abuse there dibi the way I do :)

like I said the other contacts are fine the way they are too, I'm just nuts looking for problems that aren't really even problems I guess :)

which I truly appreciate. It's in large part thanks to you and Mundy (I'm sure I'm leaving someone out, sorry) that I chose to address mainly/only the button assembly and to put all my eggs in the spring and a solid silver contact . . . .. basket.

I thought about reinforcing it but haven't sweated it too much really. I've been using it all week with the extra piece just staying home so I don't lose it until I do get some crazy glue :)

the specific CA you use will make a big difference. For something like that, I will use ONLY the Loctite brand "professional" version. There are probably other good ones as well; but that's tried and true for me.

I think expansion and contraction of the wood with humidity changes would present a problem

Yeah, one of those things that i thought about; and decided could be done as a fix. So, why fix all of them if they all ain't broke? More steps, factors and the problems that ensue from adding layers upon layers.

yeah, I haven't even tried to do anything with it yet because I don't want to rush it or use the wrong stuff, I was considering doing it with a clear epoxy that I have but was afraid that might not be as invisible as crazy glue as the mod is finished in that so should be the most invisible I guess... loctite professional, sounds like a plan, home depot here I come :)

I also noticed that a penny is a perfect snug fit in this bore so I may epoxy a penny into the bottom of this bore too, will strengthen it and also eliminate the chance of the bottle working itself down to low and interfering with the lower cap :)

What's a year wait for an OliveR?

Way too darn long I say lol I blurt things out a lot, often without proper thought or research. I think you have done an outstanding job balancing quality, durability, functionality, and production time. :thumb:

Just FYI (everyone); there's a term in using epoxy, "starving the joint". Epoxy does not do well in thin layers. Unlike wood glue and superglue, where you want to glue up with substantial pressure on mating parts, such a joint done with epoxy would be very weak. Epoxy is best when it's actually filling a gap.

yeah, the epoxy film thickness is what I was concerned about I guess, crazyglue is like water viscosity and should allow it to go back to fully seated while still penetrating the mating surfacs better than epoxy , epoxy would have forced a tiny extra bit of space and not been invisible and I wouldn't have been able to compress it tightly like you said or it would be weak and eject most of the epoxy unless it was v grooved or an orifice was created. didn't know it was called starving the joint though but makes sense and your def right. glad I got that loctite professional tip from you too, I would have just used the first regular ole crazy glue I ran across :)

oh, and since I'm here, I'll share a pic of my dibidamage :( all's I did was drop it a little bit and then kick it a lill bit against the wall, all accidentally of course  so the moral here is, don't drop your dibi and then kick it into a wall

You know that feeling you get when you see someone on TV or in a movie nick themselves while shaving? It felt just like that looking at those pics... At least it looks repairable with little effort.

I'd have laid money on you, Mundy or myself damaging one first, whether thru bad luck or abuse!

Hoping that's as easy a fix as it looks, since i'd hate to worry so much about damaging a mod that i'd not use it. I would have been rich enough to buy a replacement today but then HRH went to the dentist and spent more than that on "white fillings"

Try the orthodontist, just wrote a check for 7k to get my 12 year old 30 months of braces followed by 36 months of retainers.
The irony is I am a teamster with a so called Cadillac plan, would hate to see a Ferrari plan!

Well last night i was having a little chat with HRH since i had been reading all these people that had cut their nic down, and we have been blasting away at 18mg for well over a year with no thought of lowering it.

HRH likes her 1.5Ω coils, doesn't care a fig for vapour, but hates too much TH and just wants her nic. And she called me a "total cloud hound", since she reckons all i vape for is the 'smoke', sub ohming and all the rest.

So i made some juice last night at 85/15 vg/pg at 6ml/mg, which is total cloud hounding juice and also a reduction of my nic by 2/3 overnight. I vaped it all day today, no problem.

HRH - it looks like you were right!

There!

I've been thinking about 6, sometimes 12mg gets to me. Also learning I'm more concerned with the vape quality (heat, flavor, lung fill) than how much nic I get.
