Yes, and I didn't mean it in an insulting way when I asked, I genuinely wanted to know what the "lure" is - maybe I am missing out on something. ;)

And it would be difficult for me to explain to someone why I'd spend $2K on a snake! :p

I can understand why you would... the snakes (and I dislike snakes) that you have on your site have beautiful colors and patterns just like the OliveR...

i need to find a new hobby since the Dibi doesn't need cleaning more than once a month. I'm thinking it might as well be using Lipo's like the RC car boys do. There's something about soldering a 6000 mAh battery that appeals to me. Plenty of bang for the buck perhaps.

I do need to make some more liquid so i could do that i suppose, but that seems a little pedestrian.

Good idea on the RM2 trimming, Mundy. At first I thought you were talking about the mod . . . . .. trimming centerpost, etc.

So, is the older batch of twisted wire hitting ok? Is this a new spool? Could it be different specs? Weird.

Same 500' roll. Gonna pull an older coil out of another one and try it when I can. That will let me know which direction to look.

Swapped coils with another RM2 and the missing magic moved.
Took the missing magic coil apart and the pieces looked fine and ohm'ed out ok.
Cut a few more coils off the same piece that the dud came from and the first 2 were duds but from there on ok so far.
First time I've had that happen.
Beats me what the deal was, but obviously something was amiss with a section of the ribbon.

Yup...I was DEEP into the RC hobby a while back to...
Finally stopped after I loaded a car up with lipos and brush less speedos and a sick brush less motor.
Put it on the line and when the bell sounded I got excited and pulled the throttle a bit too hard. The car moved about 2 inches as I ripped the hubs out of all 4 wheels. A leetle too much torque.

Stopped when I finally came to the conclusion that for me the entire hobby boiled down to "how fast can you afford to go?"

Im much happier with vaping :)

Thanks
Geo

It doesn't matter what your hobby is... You can spend a little or a lot. It just depends on the $$$ you have available to spend on it and how far down the rabbit hole you're willing to go.

I'd be hard pressed to give a "reasonable" explanation for my PV collection to someone who doesn't already get it... So, I don't expect a flashlight/laser enthusiast to give me "reasonable" explanation.

I don't really know. I was so amazed at how much light they put out that I wanted more, More, MORE! Fortunately for me, vaping took over. I think it saved my life in more ways than one!

And vape gear is shinier! Not to make light of it, but Jas's enlightening comment shines the light on it. Both of your comments brightened my evening.

I lived there for 13 years! I worked out of home and only started the car for exercise. I would let go of the reins and the car would take me directly to Cheers Too. Then it would take me faithfully back home again.

Ok! Just sent Pdib a request to put me on the list... downside, it's gonna be.... awhile before I get mine (should be batch#9). I guess in the mean time, if I want to satisfy my desire to begin transition over to BF mods (and have something for my 1yr vape-a-versary), I'll need to rustle up a REO.

I did have a question for anyone that might know though. It looks like the OliveR/Dibby can take any diameter RBA you can throw at it. The LP Reo also looks like it can take any diameter RBA. Noob question as follows (since I ain't no BF pro yet): the BF Cyclone w/ the AFC cap... that would fit on both right? When I go this BF route, I'd like some AFC.

I could see myself getting that RBA and a LP Reo for now, then when Pdib calls my number, using the cyclone on his mod. Sound like a decent plan? Now, if I could just find one for sale on the site, or someone willing to sell me a used black one in good condition....;)

I would guess finding a used LP reo would be next to impossible right now. Otherwise sounds like a good plan.

From what I know the AFC will fit both mods. :)

You got your sights set on some killer setups hoss :)

Gonna be tough finding a used LP though. They just recently hit the streets :)

There is a black one available new, needs to be black, so it isn't too flashy with my AF uniform (SS anything sticks out like a sore thumb!). Black anything goes with uniforms IMO. Killer setup? Why not, I've got a little tax return money, and I've always been one to try to get the best that I can, IF I can afford it LOL. Go big or go home!!!!

I wanted Pdib's mod for my 1 year, but never heard a bad thing about a REO, so why not get both! Could use the REO for out and about and at work (aircraft maintenance, stuff tends to get trashed if you aren't careful), and use the OliveR around the house or out once in awhile. Besides, I'm tired of dripping & driving on British roads and the german autobahn (on the occasions I drive down there from the UK). Just ain't safe. My RSST ain't bad, but ain't the same either (*like dripping*). Need to line up an alternate RBA though, incase the AFC isn't available, or the number crunching don't work out. Suggestions on that anyone? No LP RM2's available. Just trying to make sure also that if I buy something now, that it WILL be compatible with the OliveR/Dibby. No sense in spending money twice if I don't need to, right?

Sounds like a good plan. I'm rocking a Cyclone +AFC on an LP now. The LP Reo is relatively new so you're unlikely to find one used.

How do you like the Cyc+AFC on the LP?

@Pdib: sorry if I'm hijacking slightly!

I love if for dual coils. It can do single coils and still has airflow control but I prefer a regular cyclone top, RM2 or Divo for single coils do to the smaller chamber size. Cyc+AFC actually changed how I vape. I used to be a mouth hitter while vapping even though I was a lung hitter smoking. A sub ohm dual coil on this setup changed me. Now a Divo, RM2 or regular cyclone feels a little restricted drilled out to 3/32. I did drill a dual 3/32 holes on the RM2 one at each end of the coil. If you want an LP RM2 send Rob a PM, he'll set you up.

Yeah, got cheap gear for now (VAMO v2, Nemi clone from FT, 2 Trident clones, ERA clone, RSST. Started on Volcano's stick and Inferno kits). Never had the cash all at one time to buy some legit and/or nice stuff... so now that I do, I want to. Always trying to reduce costs..... hmm.... maybe I can read up on how to convert one of the Tridents to BF....

Hey, Georgia! I used to live down in Valdosta for 8 years LOL.

Was thinking about just calling today... or are PM's better? If I pull the trigger on this setup, I'd want to do it today... as in ASAP. Takes a little while for stuff to get mailed to my USPS box here in the UK.
