Brenda. And that was a squid - mini octopus. Not bf, just had it laying around lol
on there for the shot

I have a smok scar, all SS and like an octopus, but cutting a channel is best to make it bottom feed. It's a dual coil atty. Drilling SS is beyond my boredom threshold.

ahh, but you do realise that Rob holds a few back for people that miss the sale and they make the site later - right?

Just saying, maybe Dibi ought to do that too - so that if you are on run #3 in 8th place .... you have to sweat for a bit! hahaha!

Yeah, I figured but the one I got is the one I wanted so I'm good. Just wasn't going to freak out about it and see I remembered in time to get anything I might like. Didn't want to spend the afternoon refreshing the site.

GG I'm blaming my woodville purchase on you as I forgot all about them until you mentioned them. All. your. fault. *shakes finger*

I think I got one of the last two.

Oooh... the weight of guilt on MoN is compounding!!! See what trouble he got us into!!!

I wanted a REO anyway, these will be my first bottom feeders ever:)!

These are what I got:
#1 pick, bloodwood and birdseye
30_blood_wood_bi_52f8138606f76_100x100.jpg

#3 pick (my #2 was rosewood and it was gone), 100% bloodwood w/ a natural finish that I can coat with vaseline!!!:
95_blood_wood_52f936292d3e7_100x100.jpg

When MoN asked about bloodwood, I had never heard of it, so I went looking for info. Found the Wood Database, and started comparing all the woods... and wow... look at this:

Janka Hardness: 2,900 lbf (12,900 N)
Modulus of Rupture: 25,290 lbf/in2 (174.4 MPa)
Elastic Modulus: 3,013,000 lbf/in2 (20.78 GPa)
Crushing Strength: 14,310 lbf/in2 (98.7 MPa)

I wanted a Purpleheart or Zebrawood to begin with... when I compared, holy moly, bloodwood blows even the 'hard'woods out of the water for stats. It's harder to damage than ebony by a LOT, and only a hair less hard:
Janka Hardness: 3,080 lbf (13,700 N)
Modulus of Rupture: 22,930 lbf/in2 (158.1 MPa)
Elastic Modulus: 2,449,000 lbf/in2 (16.89 GPa)
Crushing Strength: 11,060 lbf/in2 (76.3 MPa)

All the other woods I checked were 1/2 or even less of those stats, I had no idea that walnut and oak were so relatively soft! Bloodwood is pretty amazing and the more I looked the more I wanted some:).

I forget the rating of the switch - but i DO know that sub 1 on them is chancing it. I'd hate to say rated for 6A and be wrong, but it's in that ballpark as you say.

I have (think double figures) wood mods and only one will do subΩ, some are DNA20 regulated = coils about 1.3 etc, but i chose them all because of the wood.

So you can vaseline like mad!

I was partial to the blood wood also. But, my analysis was more "boy, that sure is purdy" based.

the button is 5 amps but the on/off switch is only 3, the on/off can be easily bypassed though

Ok... I don't know what switch you are talking about... I don't know the first thing about REO

But I'm not so sure I need to sub ohm anyway, isn't the only difference for sub ohming the speed it fires?

Yah... there were some real purdies there!!!! I would have been happy with most of them actually!! But I was dead set on a bloodwood not for looks, just because it's harder to damage. There was only 1 rosewood in the entire batch, and I might have gotten it if I went there first, but I REALLY REALLY wanted that bloodwood, and I was pretty dead set on that pattern.

I had no intention of getting a 2nd mod, I only wanted 1. But after I ordered it, I was poking around, and I took 5 MINUTES deciding with it in my cart... took it out, put it back in, took it out, put it back in, and still managed to get this totally bloodwood 2nd one. All I can say is, I'm really happy not as many people wanted the bloodwood!!!

Well, I bought MON's Grip today. I looked at those woodvils so many times, and may have bought one if not for the grip. If I had bought a woodvil, it may have jeopardized my dibi purchase with the wife. So, all is well, and I have another bottom feeder. Now I need to figure put which atomizer to get for it. Won't take an rda. I think?
