ahh, but you do realise that Rob holds a few back for people that miss the sale and they make the site later - right?
Just saying, maybe Dibi ought to do that too - so that if you are on run #3 in 8th place .... you have to sweat for a bit! hahaha!

GG I'm blaming my woodville purchase on you as I forgot all about them until you mentioned them. All. your. fault. *shakes finger*
I think I got one of the last two.

Oooh... the weight of guilt on MoN is compounding!!! See what trouble he got us into!!!
I wanted a REO anyway, these will be my first bottom feeders ever!
These are what I got:
#1 pick, bloodwood and birdseye

#3 pick (my #2 was rosewood and it was gone), 100% bloodwood w/ a natural finish that I can coat with vaseline!!!:

When MoN asked about bloodwood, I had never heard of it, so I went looking for info. Found the Wood Database, and started comparing all the woods... and wow... look at this:
Janka Hardness: 2,900 lbf (12,900 N)
Modulus of Rupture: 25,290 lbf/in2 (174.4 MPa)
Elastic Modulus: 3,013,000 lbf/in2 (20.78 GPa)
Crushing Strength: 14,310 lbf/in2 (98.7 MPa)
I wanted a Purpleheart or Zebrawood to begin with... when I compared, holy moly, bloodwood blows even the 'hard'woods out of the water for stats. It's harder to damage than ebony by a LOT, and only a hair less hard:
Janka Hardness: 3,080 lbf (13,700 N)
Modulus of Rupture: 22,930 lbf/in2 (158.1 MPa)
Elastic Modulus: 2,449,000 lbf/in2 (16.89 GPa)
Crushing Strength: 11,060 lbf/in2 (76.3 MPa)
All the other woods I checked were 1/2 or even less of those stats, I had no idea that walnut and oak were so relatively soft! Bloodwood is pretty amazing and the more I looked the more I wanted some.
I forget the rating of the switch - but i DO know that sub 1 on them is chancing it. I'd hate to say rated for 6A and be wrong, but it's in that ballpark as you say.
I have (think double figures) wood mods and only one will do subΩ, some are DNA20 regulated = coils about 1.3 etc, but i chose them all because of the wood.
So you can vaseline like mad!

I was partial to the blood wood also. But, my analysis was more "boy, that sure is purdy" based.
Yeah, I figured but the one I got is the one I wanted so I'm good. Just wasn't going to freak out about it and see I remembered in time to get anything I might like. Didn't want to spend the afternoon refreshing the site.

Which one did you get?

Brilliant! Thank you, couldn't figure out how to post the picture!
I am fascinated with jatoba wood so imagine my surprise that one of them was still for sale!
