This one breaks my heart: It's advertised as 6 3/8" long x 2" x 1 3/8" but is actually 1/32 shy of 2"

Ouch... that one is a shame...

I meant, a shame it's not big enough:)!!

I hate it how women are so good at math.. LOL Just tell her to cut your allowance by 30 bucks a month :toast:

BTW, BLOCKS 2, 4, and 6 are big enough for a good split :D:D:D
I'm still catching up so I have no idea if anyone has expressed interest in block 4 if it is indeed able to be split, but I would buy the other half for my 2nd dibi. :)

Ah well I see you had a few takers for them. :) no worries!

I only know of one person who uses 80 . . . X-puppy. But I don't know if he's compared it to 60.

If you want to get 60 tho, this place is good. Jacobs Online Nichrome & Rene 41 Wire

Been wanting to try this fancy Rene wire so I ordered some from there yesterday, showed up today lol then I realized it's in Moxee, WA. 10 minutes from me, how awesome is that?

Thanks for the recommendation pdib!

Ok Pdib, I learned to listen to you from my last mistake. I just wanted to make sure... when you say "don't buy a bunch"... are you actually saying don't get this one?

you know me, I gotta ask ..(and it really pains me to let this beauty go)

I got that other one, checked it out, and am by no means certain it or I will survive the process. It's not global decimation here, get it if you want . . . . you'll survive it.

Must be time for my monthly shopping list - what's new this month Mr Dibs, that could possibly interest me and save me time cleaning and farting around with my mod?

Got enough of that silver bar to fashion a new firing button for me? Usual address etc etc!

I like the new tougher spring btw - it fires less often accidentally, which is rather good, since smoke coming from by my trouser pocket seems to give middle aged women a rather inflated idea of their own sex-appeal.

ho ho ho - Rene wire huh? get your welder's gloves on! That stuff is harder than the devil's head! Fill up the blowtorch.

But it lasts, i still have a coil i used for over 2 months this year that i made last year from it (somewhere here on the desk - i'll find it later - i have been messing about with other stuff is all).

I don't see why everyone is having so much trouble with it. I got a bit from pdib and damn is that stuff awesome. It heats quick, gives you a smack in the throat and the vapor production is just as good as my 24g kanthal. It's a win win other then the price.

my point is not the price or its heating abilities - it is that it is a dog to work - it is extremely hard to form into a coil without pliers, jigs, multiple blowtorching etc.

I know this because i tried to wrap it like every other coil i had made prior the first time and it pierces skin and i daresay bone! It is not troublesome if you know what you're letting yourself in for, but if you come at it from using a 30g kanthal microcoil, you're in trouble!

I try not to mention this stuff before people try it, as it's so much more fun to hear about their discovery impalements.
