Day 4 of vaping the new silver contact is the same as day one. The only think that's touched it (since I fine tuned the installation) is the negative side of my battery and it touches it often.

flawless. Hits every press. Hard. I'm gonna add a wrap to my next coil because the added voltage makes this 1.2 ohm coil a bit warm for my preference :)

With all this reduced VD folks are gonna have to rethink their sweet spot :)

So much for a modder's mod if no modding is required  just kidding, that is great because I am lazy and would rather mix juices chasing that dragon instead  My wife will be pleased to know this one requires no tinker... haha that's what I sell anyway.

Gettin pretty excited over here... waiting... patiently... strike that, can be patiently waiting if you say you are patiently waiting, that's just waiting impatiently :D

I'm good, no need for the thorazine yet, just excited!

Thanks for pointing that out Supe. Thats what we've been saying all along. There have been people who think that we were just being silly trying to reduce v-drop and that it didn't matter for those that did not sub-ohm. I tried along time ago to explain the benefits using math, but I think that point gets forgotten and people start to associate better connectivity with sub-ohm and they thumb their nose at it.

I really dislike that Rob called the new kits 'Sub-Ohm Kits' for the REO. While the new kits definitely let you run sub ohm coils, the main benifit is just making the mod all around more efficent and better for your battery. IMO they should have just been called a performance upgrade, or increased conductivity kit (im terrible at naming things but you get what i mean)

That's amazing to hear that the silver is holding up so well! Can't wait till I get mine!

Great point fellow Georgian.

Perhaps High Efficiency Contacts or High Output Contacts would have been better suited.

I got a couple of HO's coming in Thursday:)
Mostly case I loathe noalox and applying anything greasy to my mods :)

And Timk, this is a little mod :). The original contact was aluminum and the original spring was whatever the flim flammin dibber dabber deemed appropriate.

Yes, I too can mod :)

Totally agree and I also keep posting that after the upgrade to get the same hit increase the ohms of the coil and get better battery life.

I agree with this too, it's not a "sub ohm" kit. it's a "fix the crappy contacts" kit

any resistance that is not the coil itself is robbing you of power, just because it vapes ok with a high ohm coil don't make it good, saying it works ok at higher ohms is like saying it doesn't matter that my gas tank leaks a little because I get such good gas milage anyway :)

I wonder if the people that have one already just sit there and stare at them? Or does that wear off after having it awhile?

I try, but I go all cross-eyed. It's so hard to stare at while it's in a fog-filled room - even though it's right under my nose.

i thought it really depended on the airholes and whether you had to block some off or not. Atties like a Helios are just not really geared for single coils, since there's no way, short of covering up or filling things to leave just one open.

I have drilled an igo-w4 to bottom feed (took me days, but that needn't matter now) and with duals it's a beast. The point of the fins on the top of the TOBH are to cool it off some, according to reviews i've seen, and apparently they work.

Just to make you feel guilty, i was looking at them the other day and they were out of stock (so what's new??), but are made by a father and son team. Better to just buy the clone and rip those guys off! ??

I wouldn't know about the Chalice but I have plenty of RM2s and Cyclones. If I place the same type of coil and Ω in all of them, they're all the same to me in terms of vape quality.

The biggest taste and performance difference for me in any atty is in the coil and cotton. My favorite coils right now is the Magic Mundy and braided 3 strand 30g and I vape them at .8Ω - 1Ω wicked with KGD (koh gen do pure cotton)
