I handed out a few dozen 'cards' at the wedding this weekend. Folks in their 50's, 60's, and a few in their 80's were hugely on board with it, but I was struck by the general apathy of the younger folks (30-ish) who seemed resigned to the fact that "the government will do what's right in the end" and had no inclination to be involved.
I honestly found it somewhat distressing. Is this degree of resignation what we have to look forward to? :(

I fear you're right but hope you're wrong.

I'm 34, we're not all like that. Most of my generation is too worried about how cool their new glasses are to care much about anything. But as they become real adults with families, they'll grow out of it. That transition is just happening later for most now.

Thanks for that, Lessifer. I'm more than twice that - and you give us hope! :thumb:

That's the sad thing and the general apathy of Americans.

"the government will do what's right in the end"

Yeah... look at Greece.

Looks like all my fighting has failed :( No online sales to Arkansas? | E-Cigarette Forum

Maybe if our petition helps, this one will be changed but I am not holding my breath

Write, write and write some more. Always write your state legislators. I am never afraid to tell them I won't be voting for them.

I wrote Kaisich yesterday and said thanks for getting into the presidential running.. Now resign as governor. Yes.. I am a lifelong conservative too.

:)Not trying to play the devils advocate on this Arkansas thing but, after taking a brief look at the bill it does not sound as bad as the headlines (tho it is full of difficult to read language and im not a lawyer).

The thing I got from it was that the vaping indutry will be regulated, however, imho vaping is addressed on its own merit, ie not lumped in as a tobacco product.

Now it does sound like it may be regulated in a similar manner as tobacco, but there does appear to be room to make the differences more distinct, ie there are specific licenses for ejuice.

Like I said, I'm no expert, but this does not seems as a bad as I thought it was, please take a look at it yourself and let me know if i looked at it incorrectly.:)

The really bad part is that it lumps ALL vapor products in with tobacco, including no-nicotine, and it does lump them in with other tobacco products, just not specifically with cigarettes.

I'm not positive on the no online sales part. Cigarette sales are limited to those with a physical presence in the state, I haven't seen anything specifically restricting online sales of e-liquid into the state, but at least one vendor believes that is the case. Manufacturers who want to have their products sold by a retail b&m will need to go through the licensing, which isn't horrible.

This is shaping up like one that could be tested in court, if someone wants to pursue that. It might be worth looking into njoys policy on selling e-liquid in Arkansas, they are the best bet for someone who has fully researched the law.

It's one thing to unaware, it's quite another to be shown something and all you have to is sign it but but make the decision not to. You done good, it's their fault when the ship goes down.

Thank you FT. I am pretty well set for probably the rest of my life. My concern is for all the folks that haven't found this miracle yet. :(

Yes, they are the ones I am concerned about also. I was just reading a post that says the framework for the law was provided by RJ Reynolds?! o_O I'll have to go back and reread it, but after I take the dog to the vet and watch him squirm. :D
